“So, do you want to talk about it?” Nora asked as Lily lay on the bed while she dried her hair with a towel. She showed up in Nora’s room at midnight and cried herself to sleep.
She got up in the morning before Nora, she got dressed in Nora’s clothes too because she wasn’t ready to go back to her suite.
They already had breakfast too and had nothing to do except to talk about what happened last night.
“I think I overreacted.” Lily mumbled and groaned.
“Of course, you didn’t overreact, you watched your husband making out with a stripper, and you reacted the way you were supposed to.” Nora replied and Lily sat up.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“I threw my ring at him.” Lily said and raised her hand. Nora paused as she tried to come up with the best response.
“Well, I believe you guys will settle it.” she said and Lily groaned and lay on the bed again.
“I just want him to apologize to me, why is it so hard for him?”
“Because he is Axel. He believes everything he does is right and it’s for the best.” Nora replied and dropped the towel then walked to her table.
“Do you think I should talk to him?” Lily asked and Nora turned to her.
“Of course not. You have to stand your ground, he owes you an apology.” Nora said and Lily sighed.
“What if he doesn’t apologize? And I end up being single.”
“Then you will move in with me and we will be best friends forever.” Nora replied and giggled. Lily chuckled and then smiled at her.
“Thank you, for always being on my side.”
“Of course. I am a girl’s girl. I can’t be on Axel’s side because he is my brother. He is wrong, always wrong.” Nora added and Lily smiled.
“Moving on, the next thing on my list.” Nora said happily and Lily shook her head.
“No, no. I am not doing anything with you.” Lily replied and Nora put on a fake sad expression.
“Why?”
“Because we always get in trouble.” Lily replied and she rolled her eyes. She walked to the bed and got on it.
“We won’t get into trouble this time.” She said and Lily sighed. She couldn’t say no to Nora, she couldn’t say no to almost everybody. That is just how she is.
“Okay. So what is this about?” Lily asked and she smiled.
“It’s something simple. We will go to a luxury spa and spend hours there. On our way home, later in the day, we would stop by a fancy restaurant, have dinner, and head back.” Nora explained and Lily nodded.
“Just that?” She asked.
“Yeah. Just that. What is the worst… ”
“No, don’t say it.” Lily hurriedly cut Nora off.
“When you say it, that is when the worst happens.”
“Okay.” Nora chuckled and they both got off the bed. Their outfit was perfect already so they just made their way out.
They got out of the suite and surprisingly they met Axel and Max in the hallway.
Axel and Lily exchanged looks and looked away immediately after their eyes met.
“Come on.” Nora said and held Lily’s hand.
“Where are you guys going?” Max asked since Axel wasn’t saying anything.
“The spa.” Nora replied as they walked past them.
Max watched them till they walked into the elevator. Again, Axel and Lily’s eyes met before the elevator doors closed.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Max asked and turned to Axel.
“Let’s just get what we have to do over with.” He replied, changing the topic. Max decided to drop it since he wasn’t ready to talk about it.
Lily and Nora got into one of the cars, the guards didn’t stop them or question them this time.
Nora drove into the streets and Lily’s lips formed into a smile as Nora opened the roof of the car.
She closed her eyes and enjoyed as the wind blew through her hair.
“So, what spa are we heading to?” Lily asked as she opened her eyes.
“It is at Mandarin Oriental. Not too far.” She replied and Lily nodded.
The drive was silent, Nora paid attention to the road so they wouldn’t miss their way while Lily admired every beautiful thing they drove past.
After half an hour, they arrived at the Spa. They both got out of the car and looked up at the building.
“Ready?” Nora asked and Lily nodded.
“Yeah.” She replied and they both walked in.
They got in and Lily smiled, it was beautiful.
It wasn’t crowded due to how luxurious it was.
The employees paid attention to them and Nora booked them a VIP massage which confused Lily a little. Why couldn’t they have a regular massage? What was so special about the VIP?
Nora and Lily were both taken to a room, they got in and Lily smiled again, there were just two beds in the middle of the room and the room was decorated in a way that screamed ‘luxury.’
They were left alone in the room and Lily decided to ask Nora why they were having a VIP massage.
“Why are we having a VIP massage?” She asked and Nora smiled as she started to undress.
“Because it comes with a lot of packages.” She replied, Lily got more confused by her response.
“What package?”
“You’ll see.” She replied and Lily got more curious but she decided to go with the flow. She trusted Nora anyway.
They got undressed and got into the soft comfy robe provided for them.
They lay on the bed and waited patiently for what was next.
Suddenly, the door opened and two men in shorts suddenly walked in, Nora giggled while Lily froze in fear and surprise.
“I love it.” Nora giggled and Lily got off her bed and moved closer to Nora.
“You never mentioned that we were going to be massaged by men.” Lily said and Nora smiled.
“That is the package that comes with it.” She replied and as Lily was about to talk, Nora shut her up.
“Don’t complain. Just enjoy it.” She said and Lily didn’t give a response.
“Please.” She added and Lily sighed. She got back on her bed and the men bowed and walked to them each.
“Please take off your robes ma’am.” The men chorused and Lily’s eyes widened in shock.
She watched Nora take off her robe and lay comfortably on her chest.
“Please ma’am, take off your robe.” The guy with Lily said and she gulped. She couldn’t do that, she is married and to her, it felt wrong.
She should have known Nora so well, everything about her was never normal.
Suddenly, Nora’s phone rang.
“I will get it.” Lily hurriedly said and got off the bed, she rushed to where their things were and picked up Nora’s phone.
Nora wasn’t paying attention, she was enjoying the massage.
“Excuse me.” Lily said to the guy and rushed towards the bathroom.
She hurriedly got in and sighed in relief, she lifted the phone and froze when she saw the caller was Axel.
Taking a deep breath, she picked it up and placed the phone on her ear.
“Hey, I am just calling to check up on Lily. Is she okay?” She heard him ask and her heart skipped a beat. Does this mean he cares?
“Nora?” Axel called and Lily snapped out of her thought. She realized she didn’t respond.
“Hmm, it’s not Nora. It’s Lily.” She said and it went silent on the other end for a few seconds before Axel decided to speak up again.
“Where is Nora?”
“She is busy.” Lily replied.
“Okay, I will call her later… ”
“You called to check up on me right? Then talk to me, I am here. Ask me how I feel.” Lily said and he sighed.
“How are you, Lily?” He asked.
“I am fine.”
“Having fun?” He asked and Lily recalled what was going on in the room.
“Yeah, kind of.” She replied. It went silent again, Axel had no idea what to say, and neither did she.
“Does your head hurt?” Axel suddenly asked and Lily raised her brows.
“Huh?” She asked, confused.
“Your eyes were a little swollen this morning, you must have cried a lot.” He said and she bit her lip.
“I am fine. It doesn’t hurt.” She replied and waited for him to speak again. She was hoping he would apologize or say something relating to their fight.
If he cared, that meant he missed her and wanted to settle things between them.
“Bye Lily.” He suddenly said and Lily felt her heart shattering all over again, without giving him a response, she ended the call with tears rushing to her eyes.
She exhaled and blinked back her tears, she walked out of the bathroom and suddenly froze at the sight before her.
