Sitting in the bedroom watching tv with Sadie. I watch her look up at me. ” Dada?” She says with her little eyebrows fused together and a confused looked on her face.
” I don’t know baby. Want to give him a call?” I ask her.
I watch her nod her head, ” Ya.” She tells me happily.
Grabbing my phone off of the night stand. I swipe up to unlock my phone, before scrolling to Dimitri’s number. I press the call button and put it on speaker. It rings about four times and I start to get irritated.
He has been gone all day!
I thought he was coming back tonight, and Sadie has gotten used to him reading her bedtime stories.
” Where are you!? It is getting late and Sadie is wanting her daddy!” I yell into the phone, as he finally picks up.
” I had something come up. I will be home tomorrow.” He tells me in a calm tone.
” What came up?” I question him.
I thought this was just a quick job? Does it have to do with Daniel? Or is he actually out of town?
” It’s work related. Nothing to worry about.” He tells me calmly.
In the background I can hear Liam speak in a low tone. ” They are getting loaded into the police cars.”
Right after Liam is done speaking I can hear Lucia speak in a soft whisper, ” The also found the bodies.” He adds.
Who is getting arrested? And what bodies? Like dead bodies? Did Dimitri kill someone and where the hell is he?
I have all these questions filling my head, as I hear Dimitri speak. ” I got to go. We can talk tomorrow.” I hear him say before hearing a click.
Did he seriously just hang up on me?
I hear Sadie let out a gasp, ” Dada!” She says staring at the phone, before looking up at me.
” Dada hung up.” I tell her.
I watch her puff and cheeks.
Here we go another temper tantrum.
I wait for her to throw herself down on the bed to start punching and kicking. However she doesn’t do any of that.
She just crosses her arms over her chest and pouts in complete silence.
Huh?
She isn’t going to scream or cry? I wonder how long this will last, before she throws herself down.
Hearing a knock at the door. I answer whoever is on the other side of it. ” You can come in.” I tell them.
I watch the door open, and see Mary standing at the entrance. ” Do want to have a movie night? I made popcorn.” She say holding up a bowl full of popcorn.
I smile at her, ” Yes, that sounds amazing. Especially since none of the boys will be back tonight.”
She nods, and walks into my bedroom. I watch her shut the door behind her. ” Yeah, Liam texted saying they will be out of town for tonight.” She says as she walks over to the bed.
” At least Liam texted you. I had to call Dimitri myself.” I tell her with a sigh.
I watch Sadie crawl up to Mary, as she takes a seat next to me.
” Want some?” Mary asked her.
” Yes.” Sadie says softly.
” What do you say?” I say to Sadie.
” Pweeze!” Sadie says softly with a cute smile.
Mary lets out a soft giggle, “Yes, you can have some. I brought it for all of us.” Mary says setting the bowl infront of her. I watch Sadie stick her small hands into the bowl and grab a handful.
” You okay with watching Disney movies. Until Sadie goes to bed?” I question her.
Mary nods, ” Yeah, we can do that.” She says popping a few pieces of popcorn into her mouth.
I lift the remote up and switch on Disney plus. ” Let’s watch Aristocats.” I say clicking on it before Sadie can object.
She likes to watch the same movie over and over again. The only way to get her to watch something else. Is too just put it on and make her watch it. She will throw a fit at first, but if she likes it. She will request to watch it again. I had to make her watch SpongeBob once. Ever since than she will watch SpongeBob without an issue.
I know, she will like Aristocats. Growing up I loved watching Aristocats. It was my favorite movie as a child.

Halfway into the movie I notice Sadie is sound alseep in my lap.
I hear Mary giggle, ” She is out cold.” She says in a soft whisper.
I smile, ” Yeah, she had a hard day. Dimitri made a new rule for her. When she starts throwing a fit. She now has to stay in her playpen.” I say, as I put my arms gently underneath Sadie body and picks her up. I hold her close to my chest, as I slowly stand to my feet.
” I also overheard something. When I called Dimitri earlier.” I tell Mary.
” Like what?” Mary asked me.
” I heard Liam say something about someone getting arrested, and Lucia said they found all the bodies.” Walking up to Sadie crib. I gently set her down and tuck her in.
” Are sure that is what you heard?” Mary questions me.
” Yes, I am sure. It sounded like they were trying to whisper to Dimitri. However both Liam and Lucia can’t whisper worth shit.” I tell her.
” I have an idea. Do you and Dimitri share location?” Mary suddenly asked me.
” Yeah, we started doing that after I was kidnapped.” I say giving her a confused look, as I walk back over to the bed.
” See where his location is at. When it pops up, tell me what it is. So, I can narrow it down by using the news.” She tells me.
” Okay.” I say getting my phone off the nightstand. Pulling up his location I notice it isn’t giving his actual location. It is telling me that he is here in Detroit, but not where.
” It is telling me that he is still here in Detroit, but I have a feeling this is wrong.” I say and show her Dimitri’s location.
She takes my phone out of my hand and stares at the screen. I watch her press a few buttons before handing it back to me.
” Yeah, whoever set that up. Knew what they were doing. It will even give the government officials a ran for there money.” She tell me.
I let out a laugh, ” Yeah, he is very clever and careful about everything he does.”
Letting out a sigh I lean my back against the headboard. ” We could still search for anything on the new that might pop out to us.” I suggest to her.
Mary nods, ” Yeah, we can do that.” She say pulling out her phone from her pocket.
I watch her press some buttons, before taking the remote out of my hands. After a few minutes she has her phone hooked up to the tv.
” How did you do that?” I question her.
” It is a mirroring app. I have it on my phone. I can mirror anything on my phone to the tv, but only if the tv is able to accept it. Which is good that your tv is new. Most newer tv have that built into it.” Mary explains as she searches on YouTube.
As she is strolling through the new channels on YouTube. I notice something that catches my attention. ” Stop, click on that video in the middle.” I tell her.
When she clicks on it a Female reporter comes onto the screen. ” Hello, everyone just joining us. We have been covering this story for thirty minutes. Apparently a ship has crashed into a docking station. It was full of police officers and FBI agents. They didn’t disclose why they were all there, but four men have been arrested, and taken into custody. It has been reported that over thirty people were killed, and sixteen of them have been injured. We will keep a close eye on this situation, and give any updates that we can.” She says with a smile on her face.
” Where is this new report from?” I question Mary.
” It is from Canada” Mary tells me.
Canada!
Dimitri is in Canada!
” This has to be Dimitri!” I whisper yell at Mary.
” We don’t know that.” Mary tells me.
” No, this is his doing. Dimitri can be cold and cruel. I have seen it first hand.” I tell her.
Dimitri has never done anything mean to me, but back in middle school and high school everyone was terrified of him. They all had good reason to be scared too.
