Kyle Stole My Diamonds

Book:The CEO Contracted Wife Published:2025-2-8

POV: Victoria
“No ma’am, I haven’t been able to get her location. My contact said she did not come near Dominic’s residence. I have given the order for her phone to be traced. Soon we will pinpoint her phone location and send some boys to get her.” He responded.
“Get some rest, Miss Victoria, you need to take care of your body so you don’t break down or come down with an illness. I’ll come to you with anything I find out, I’ll be sure to get your mother’s location before the next hour.” He advised.
“That’s okay, I’ll be waiting patiently for your call. Please keep me in the loop when your boss gets through to the Don. I want to know everything he says to Dominic, I want to know if they fight again or if they manage to settle their differences. Tell me everything!” I told him eagerly, but he didn’t respond to me. He just hung up on me without a word.
“Rude bastard!” I let out angrily. He’s just as annoying as his boss. No wonder both guys have been friends for so long, they are so alike in so many ways. It’s hard to tell if Ralph is influencing Carl or the other way around. I glared angrily at my phone as if it were Carl. That reminded me that Ralph was searching for something in the camera before he left. I decided to take the cameras back and review them from when I came to the house.
I’m sure I didn’t mention it to Mom that I kept my diamonds in my room. I only told Claire about it and I didn’t even see her go near it while we were together in the room. I don’t know how she got to know about my diamonds and that is making me worried. I watched as Claire stood outside the house the moment I drove out of the house.
She did not go in anymore, she stood out there and waited for Kyle to arrive and they both went up to my room and threw a party for themselves. I turned the volume higher to hear their conversation. I know I’m eavesdropping, but I don’t have a choice right now. I paid more attention to every detail, listening to their conversations.
She mentioned it to him, and I saw his eyes brighten with excitement when she showed it to him. He seemed to know their worth and value in the local market, but he didn’t take it. I saw her put it back and that was it. They kept having fun until I returned. I wanted to fast-forward the footage until after I left to go and find Claire. But something told me to hold on and keep watching.
And that’s when I saw Kyle rummaging through my things when he said he wanted to come up and pick up his phone. I knew I should never have allowed him in here, I should have known that he was up to no good. That guy is bad news, he can never be useful for anything He betrayed my trust the day he allowed his friends to talk down on my sister while he laughed and called it a joke.
I don’t know why Claire decided to be with him, for the life of me I don’t understand how she could love someone like that. She saw the signs, saw his mean attitude, yet she stayed with him. I never liked him after that day, not that I even trusted him that much. After viewing the cameras and seeing what Carl did when I let him come back up here. I just realized that I should never have let him come back up here. He stole from me before driving off with my sister. How stupid is that?
Of course, he knew I was going to find out about it. But he’s too stupid to care. He had obviously made up his mind to leave Claire soon. That’s why he will do whatever he wants without considering her feelings. I wonder how Clair would feel when she finds out he is such an asshole. I’m hoping she gets home before she finds out about it, I would have to see her broken and hurt with no one to talk to.
I want to be there for her when she needs me, I need to find her fast. I can’t bear to think of how she is feeling right now, it hurts to think about it. I wish Mom was here too so I could share how I feel with her. The question bothering me now is, where the hell is mom?
If she didn’t steal the diamonds and she wasn’t seen anywhere near Dominic’s residence, then, where the hell is she?
I sat for a few more minutes, watching the cameras in Mom’s room this time. I wonder why Dominic installed cameras in the rooms, even his. I guess he doesn’t trust anyone around him. He must have been betrayed by those closest to him. It has affected him negatively, now he finds it hard to trust anyone around him, not even his family or friends.
I saw Mom on her bed, lying down on her side and sobbing softly. Then her phone rang and she got up to pick it up. I saw her expression change after that call. She gasped in surprise and burst into tears, sobbing louder than before.
“What diamonds?” she asked the caller, sounding surprised. I nodded in understanding as I realized that the caller was the problem here. It was the mysterious caller who told Mom about my diamonds. It was after Mom received that call that she went to our room to search for the diamonds. She searched for a few minutes but she couldn’t find it.
“I can’t find it, I think Cindy is lying. Victoria has no diamonds, if she did she would have told me about it. I don’t know why you would believe Cindy over your daughters. Why do you hate us so much, what did we ever do to you?” She asked him sadly. I don’t know what he said to her, but I’m guessing that he asked her to keep looking for it because she didn’t stop searching.
She was in tears as she searched for it, when she couldn’t find then, she had to settle for less. She ended up taking the expensive gold and silver jewelry that Ralph had bought for me when he pulled me around to do some shopping the other day. She even grabbed some of Raphael’s wristwatches and gold necklaces too. She practically limped down the stairs to the car that was already waiting for her in front of the house.
I needed to know if it was Raphael’s car or not, so I went out of the security room and went to ask the guards if they knew who had the car. I was still talking to the guard when I got a call from Carl. I picked it up immediately because I had been expecting his call for a while now.
“We found your mother, ma’am. It seems she went to visit her husband, your father. Would you like me to check it out?” he reported to me, sounding excited about his findings. I should have known that no one could make my mom shiver and cry that way except my father. He has a way of getting to her and hitting her where it hurts the most. I wonder how he got her new number, I thought Raphael took their phones away to keep them hidden.
At this point, I’m beginning to think that Raphael has a mole in this house. Like, how did they get Mom’s new number, and how were they able to locate this place and send a car over here to pick her up. It’s time he takes a step back and does a background check on his boys again. Someone is messing us up from within and I intend to find out who. But first, I need to go and get mom back home.
“No Carl, I will handle it myself. Whatever took her back there must be very serious, it’s not what you can handle alone. I need to be there, I have to speak with her myself.” I responded.
