POV: Dominic
“I don’t know what Kyle did to you, I have no idea how much he owes you, but I can assure you that my sister is not involved in his business. Whatever he told you is a lie, he just wants to get her in trouble with you, he wants to use her for his own freedom. He’s lying, I promise,” she told me about her sister telling me about their sick mother and how she would die if nothing was done about it.
“Please let her go, she is innocent. I promise I’ll do everything to keep her away from him.” She told me sadly. I felt moved by her care and love for her sister. But I couldn’t grant her request so easily. There are so many things involved in this issue that she doesn’t know about.
“You have no idea what your sister got herself into, do you?
Are you aware that Kyle has offered to sell her off in exchange for his freedom?” I asked her, tipping my head to the side with my eyes fixed on her.
“That fucking asshole!
When next I see him, I fucking punch him in the face!” she exclaimed furiously and punched her first to her palm to prove a point. She tried to get me to change my mind, but I shook my head at her gullibility. She obviously doesn’t spend enough time with her sister. If she did, she would know that I didn’t pick up her sister simply because she was hanging out with Kyle.
“How much is it?
Just tell us what she owes and Raphael would pay for her freedom, I promise. Please let her go, our mom would die if anything happened to her. I would pay her debt, I would do anything. Ralph will pay you to the last cent, I promise.” She sobbed sadly.
“Don’t drag that fool into this issue because it’s only going to make it worse. I don’t need his money, I’ll never take a dime from that idiot. Besides, it’s way past their deadline. Nothing you say or do will save either one of them. Only I can decide what I want to do with them.
Go home, Victoria. Be rest assured that I won’t hurt your sister if she doesn’t provoke me or try to escape. Right now, the best thing you can do for her is to stay the fuck away from that asshole. His condition is worse than Kyle’s and he could get you in real trouble pretty soon. Stay the hell away from him and maybe, just maybe you will survive my attack when I come for him.” I advised her as I got into my car and sped off, ignoring Raphael as he tried to speak with me one more time.
I thought of the nice things she said about her sister and I smiled as I thought of the silly game I played to get her in this pathetic situation. You see, a few weeks ago, I stumbled on Kyle and his pretty girlfriend in the city. I’d gone to check on one of my dealers, Jeremy, and I found Kyle seeking for a favor from him.
That was the very first time I set my eyes on her, I spotted her with him, and like a magnet, I was drawn to her. She has this cute resemblance to my Serena. There is this warmth in her eyes that I could never be mistaken. I sat in my car and watched as they got kicked out of the building like fucking pests.
I could have looked away and focused on my business with Jeremy and the other guys. I mean, If Jeremy could be so mean to them, It means they are not the kind of people I should associate with and I should have just backed off and let them go. But I couldn’t stop thinking about her, and the more I thought about her, the more I weighed the similarities between her and the one woman I’ve ever loved.
I couldn’t back away so easily. So I asked Jeremy what they wanted and he told me that her mom was sick and in the hospital. She needed money urgently for her mother’s treatment and that is why she followed him here. She knows he is a drug dealer, and she wishes to sell drugs on the street just to raise money for her mother’s surgery.
She is willing to risk her life for her mother and that is quite commendable. Unfortunately, her boyfriend has a bad record with his dealers and suppliers. He steals, lies, cheats, and even snitches on his guys. They know him in the street and they do not like him. He is the reason why they were sent away and I felt so bad for her sake.
She looks honest and hardworking, but she is saddled with the most irresponsible guy I’ve ever met. After hearing them talk about her sick mom, I decided to investigate her situation and to find out why she would choose to peddle drugs on the street instead of working for the money she wanted as some girls would.
She is young and beautiful, and sexy. I know a lot of guys that are willing to pay good money to have her. With her looks and body, she could command and control the toughest men in this city without raising a finger. The fact that she is not even aware of the effect she has on men made it more intriguing and fun. I followed her around all day, I saw her crying when she couldn’t get help from anyone.
He couldn’t help her in any way, he left her to herself after a while, and he went about his business, flirting with any girl that crosses his path. He couldn’t care less about her needs, and I felt the urge to kill him when I found out that he had already met with Jeremy before taking her to him. He had wanted to use her to settle some of his debts with Jeremy. The only reason Jeremy had turned him down was because he was greedy with his demands. He wanted more money from him and Jeremy would not give him a dime because his debts have piled up over the years. After conducting my background check on her, I knew had to get her away from him if I wanted her safe. I don’t know why I felt so drawn to her, I guess it’s because she is so innocent and gullible, just like my Serena.
All the while as she followed him around, she has no idea that he was planning to use her to get himself out of trouble. I had to step in before any of the other drug lords set their eyes on her. I had to get her to accept my offer, I actually made the offer irresistible for her and her boyfriend. I called him first and offered to settle his debt in exchange for her. I made sure he knows that all his debts would be settled if only he could get her to agree and accept my help. But as usual, he did not just accept my offer, his greed took over.
