Cindy Shows Off

Book:The CEO Contracted Wife Published:2025-2-8

POV: Victoria
“What are you doing here?” I asked her angrily, my eyes glaring at her.
“Oh, you didn’t know?” She asked, feigning a surprised look. I groaned in anger as she walked towards Nathan and wrapped her hands around his neck, bucking her hips to meet his sexually. She stood on the tip of her toes and kissed him passionately, marking her boundaries and wordlessly warning the other girls in the room to back off.
“You see, dear sister…
Nathan and I are in a serious relationship. He plans to introduce me to his family and that is why I’m here.” she stated proudly when they stopped sucking each other’s tongue and lips. How can I call this girl my sister, how did I end up with a family that is so selfish and wicked?
“You jealous bitch!
You knew I would be here today, didn’t you?
All your life you have always been the favorite, you have always stolen the spotlight and taken everything that belongs to Claire and I.
I have never envied you or tried to cheat you off what is yours, Cindy. This was supposed to be my weekend with Raphael’s family. This was my chance to be in the spotlight and have the best time of my life. Why did you have to ruin it for me, Cindy?” I asked sadly, my eyes filling up with tears.
“Tears, really?
You stole my man and you cry over your sister coming to a family party?
Really, bitch?
Really?
Why don’t you cry me a river, man-thief?” Charlotte asked with anger, aiming to hit me, but Ethan pulled her back and held her firmly.
“Careful, girl!
We don’t want to infuriate Gramps and get kicked out of the party, do we?” he teased, holding her firmly in his arms. She looked up at him and smiled seductively, bringing down her lips to his the same way Cindy had just done. They locked lips with each other, kissing and sucking their tongues as if they would eat each other up.
“So you two finally found your way back together huh?” Raphael asked teasingly.
“You do know that she has screwed Nathan and I, right?
Did you tell him you are a Psychopath?” he asked her, trying to infuriate her. She groaned furiously at him, but Ethan held her firmly and stopped her from embarrassing herself.
“Our past doesn’t matter, asshole. As long as we are happy together, that’s all I care about. You know, I’m so glad your mom got us hooked up. If only you were more like her and not a freaking weirdo!” Ethan told him furiously.
“You know I was willing to sacrifice my inheritance for you, Raphael. That would have been a waste of my fortune. I’m glad I’ll be putting it to good use with Ethan. My company is his to manage and control. You keep your inheritance while I give mine to Ethan.” She let out proudly, smiling down at him. She is flirting with her new man, but I could see her gazing at Raphael, trying to get his attention.
“I think you have always been destined to marry a nameless whore while we settled with the heiress that would hand us their legacy on a platter of gold,” Nathan added as they all laughed at Raphael and I.
“What legacy are you talking about?” I asked curiously. I noticed Cindy looked a bit nervous when he spoke about the heiresses passing down their legacy. I want to know what they are talking about, that’s why I asked.
“He didn’t tell you he got everything, did he?” Nathan asked me, his eyes pinned on his brother as he fixed him a glaring gaze.
“Your weird lover here tricked the family and inherited everything from our grandfather. And according to the family rules, we are expected to marry a wealthy heiress so we could take up the family business. Charlotte is a wealthy heiress and so is Cindy. So you see, you two are actually made for each other.” Nathan added firmly, his glare still fixed on Ralph.
“Oh, really?
And what exactly do you hope to inherit from Cindy?” I asked, my eyes fixed on her as she pleaded with me to keep shut about the rivalry in our family.
“Let us go say hello to your grandfather, my love. I’m so eager to meet him.” She told Nathan, dragging him away. I scoffed and shook my head as they left us with their head held high as they walked away. I can’t believe that she could be lying and tricking a guy she claims she wants to be with.
“You failed to tell him about the legal battles with your dad and mom,” Raphael remarks after they left.
“It’s not my place to say, I don’t get involved in other people’s lives,” I responded honestly. He turned to me, his eyes searching mine.
“Victoria, I have to tell you something,” he began, his voice soft. But before he could say anything more, his grandfather appeared, a twinkle in his eye.
“Raphael, Victoria, I think it’s high time you made this relationship official. I think you should get engaged.” He told us excitedly, hugging us together. My heart skipped a beat as I looked at Raphael, my eyes wide with surprise. But instead of feeling dread at the thought of our fake relationship turning real, I felt a strange sense of hope blossoming inside of me.
“Could this be happening to me, will he say yes?” I thought in my heart as I turned to look at him. His face was a mask of unreadable emotion as he looked at me, his jaw clenched tight. I could see the walls he had built around himself, the barriers that kept him from truly feeling anything for me.
As his grandfather smiled at us, waiting for our response, I felt a tear slip down my cheek. I know that our relationship was built on a lie, but in that moment, I couldn’t help but wish that it could be real.
Raphael hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering with indecision. And then, with a sigh, he turned to his grandfather and said,
“Opa, this is so sudden, we were planning to court for a while and get to know each other better,” he told him, smiling nervously.
” Nonsense, giggles. She is a fine, brilliant young woman. I like her and I think she will make a fine wife for you.” He told him, making me blush with his nice words.
“What do you think, Victoria?” he asked, giving me a chance to make the decision. I looked at Raphael and he had his stern gaze fixed on me. Do I tell him that I want him to say yes to his grandfather and make me his wife?
“Opa, you are so kind to me and I’m grateful for your wise words. We’ll think about it and tell you our decision tomorrow, Opa. Thank you for your kind words.” I told him with a warm smile. He responded with a smile of his own as he nodded in understanding and left us to make the decision.
As I watched him walk away, I felt a sense of sadness spread over me. I knew from the start that our relationship was fake, but now, as I turned to look at Raphael, I couldn’t help but wish that it could be real.
But deep down in my heart, I know that his heart is not ready to love a woman. At least not yet. If I really wanted him, I would have to work hard to get him to love me. I would need to seduce him.
