Kissing Raphael

Book:The CEO Contracted Wife Published:2025-2-8

POV: Victoria
I smiled in Raphael’s direction, ignoring the childish act of his mom and ex-girlfriend. I sat next to his grandfather and I enjoyed his company so much. He is such a great man, he told me stories of how he started from nothing and achieved many great things today. He laughed very often, enjoying the company of his family and other guests.
“I can see why you love him so much. Now I know why you are willing to do anything to please him and keep him happy. He’s such a great man,” I muttered softly as we both sat in the bar. When I started chatting and laughing excitedly with his grandfather, Raphael stood up from their midst and came to sit with me and his grandfather, putting his hand around my shoulder and smiling brightly when I looked up at him.
“You should smile often, your smile is so beautiful, it suits you.” I remarked shyly.
“You don’t smile like a fool when you are in the midst of your enemies.” He remarked dryly, his countenance changing immediately. I frowned at his attitude because I didn’t know what I just said to annoy him just now. One minute we are chatting happily like a beautiful couple and the next minute he is frowning and glaring at me.
Oh, wait…
He’s not glaring at me, he is glaring at someone behind me. I can see that now, I see his furious gaze pinned on someone behind me. I turned to follow his gaze and I saw his two cousins walking in our direction, smiling brightly. The room is getting crowded by the minute.
I don’t know if this party was meant to be a huge party, but with the way people are turning up, it’s definitely going to be massive. I noticed how Raphael’s cousins seem to be getting so much attention from everyone. It almost seems like they would prefer these guys to be the head of the company and not Raphael.
He hates them, it’s evident in the way he was glaring at them with fire in his eyes. If eyes could kill, these guys would be six feet under, I kid you not. They acted as though they weren’t aware of his furious gaze, they treated him like a nobody, claiming he was sick and incompetent.
It’s the same thing everyone else is thinking about him. That’s why nobody treats him like they treat the other boys. They have ignored him since we got here but the moment those two walked into the room, they attracted the attention of everyone.
They cheered and hailed them as if they were celebrities. That made him even more furious, I could tell from the way he folded his knuckles that the way he was being treated was somehow getting to him. I wonder if I should tell him that it’s his fault for frowning always and pushing everyone away. But that would only make him more furious, so I decided to let it go, for now.
“Hello brother,” Nathan purred excitedly, forcefully pulling Raphael in for a hug. He pushed him off his body, warning him to back off or get hurt. I really couldn’t understand their relationship. Are they not supposed to be brothers?
Nathan raised his hand in mock surrender as he moved away from Raphael as he instructed. He chuckled softly and I could tell that he wasn’t really sorry, he was just trying to provoke Raphael.
“Hi Raphael, how is your gun wound?
Healing well, I hope?” His other brother asked him, smiling cockily. I totally forgot about his injury until he mentioned it. I turned to look at Raphael and he was so furious that his face turned red in anger.
“It was you, Ethan, wasn’t it?” he asked him angrily.
“Yes, Raphael, it was me. And the next time you try to disrupt my business, I won’t graze your shoulder with the bullet, I’ll fucking shoot you in the head.” He threatened furiously. Nathan grabbed the bottle on the shelf in anger and I knew he was going to attack his brothers.
I stood up and hugged him immediately, bringing my lips down to his and kissing him passionately in front of his brothers. I don’t know why I’m trying to stop him from exposing his identity to his family, I never even understood why he needed to hide his identity from them.
But I trust him enough to know that he has his reasons for pretending to his family to be suffering from Autism. If I let him expose himself now, he will probably regret his actions in a few minutes. I kissed him and reached for his hand, taking the bottle Hennessey and keeping it back on the bar table.
He must have realized what I did because he smiled into our kiss and deepened it, kissing me so passionately. I played my part perfectly, his brothers stood there as if they were frozen in time. We laughed and kissed, pretending to be the loving couple that everyone believed us to be.
Raphael got carried away and he kissed me so passionately, forgetting that his diagnosis includes shyness and inability to be intimate. He realized his mistake quickly and he corrected it by letting me take the lead. I kissed him so passionately, pouring all my desires into it.
But as the minutes passed, I felt something stirring inside me, a warmth that I had not expected. I’m falling in love with him, my heart beats for him. The butterflies in my tummy were dancing excitedly as I kissed him. I don’t know how to stop myself from falling so hard for him. Hell, I don’t even want to stop.
“Awwww, Ethan…
I’m so jealous of their love, it’s a match made in heaven and it’s so perfect that I could cry right now!” Nathan mocked our public show of affection, sounding so sarcastic. We ended our kiss and stared at each other, acting like we couldn’t hear them. But we heard them loud and clear.
“It a good thing we brought our own ladies, then, right brother?” Ethan responded proudly, smiling and tapping on his phone. I thought they had ordered for escorts like they did the first time I met them. I was even expecting to see Lisa or some of the girls I used to work with.
But that wasn’t the case. I saw Cindy and Charlotte walking towards us, dressed in classy designer gowns. I was not expecting to meet Cindy here and it shocked me to see her chatting excitedly with Charlotte as they approached. She walked straight to me with her glass of wine in her hand, smiling brightly,
“Hey sis, I got a message from Mom and Dad,” she dumped her wine on me intentionally and she faked a shocked look,
“Ooopsy,” she yelled and tried to apologize so everyone would think that it was a mistake. She offered to help me clean my clothes, acting all nice and helpful. Then she leaned closer to me and whispered in my ears,
“You dare to lock up my parents, Victoria. Get ready to face my wrath!” she told me fiercely.
“And just so you know, Mom and Dad are already out of jail. I hope you are ready for what is coming.” She told me, sneering at the end of her threats.
