I felt her magic come alive…
And then I heard him howl…
His wolf actually howled to my hearing, and that could only mean that he has found her. I couldn’t have mistaken that howl, it was domineering and powerful. I have heard it before, in my dreams. It’s the howl of the Alpha king, the Huntington’s signature howl. No wolf from the moon goddess has ever been as domineering as the wolf of the Alpha king. I never met him, I only felt his aura in my dreams. But that is enough for me to know how domineering he is, that aura is too strong to be mistaken or forgotten.
I was at home that night thinking of a way to steal King Gerald’s wolf and his powers, I figured if I could make him so powerful with my potions, then I can actually be as powerful as he was as well. What’s the use of having an ally that treats me like crap. It’s obvious that he is a selfish bastard who doesn’t care about how I feel. He is only concerned with his achievements, as long as he remains the only man with power, every other person can go to hell.
I literally had to force him to be here for my daughter’s engagement. He left before the engagement was over, and he warned me never to invite him to come down here ever again. As if that was not enough, he cut me off from all his operations and he placed me on the same level as the rest of the werewolves in that he controls their thoughts and actions always. I was not allowed to reach out to him and I could reach out to the wizards that work for him either. He made I was completely shut out of all his operations. That way, I wouldn’t know what he is planning and I won’t know if he has found the girl or not.
I had no fucking choice, I had to find a way to secure the future of my family, and finish what my grandfather started. As it stands, Shane is out of the picture, h couldn’t meet the requirements of a beta as I did, so we are stuck with Cameron being the Luna. If she doesn’t succeed in getting Maverick to love and accept her then we are stuck with our plans and ideologies. We’ll have no power to continue our fight for a better life. We’ll just be another boring family in the pack that has to listen to the Lycans or the Huntingtons, depending on the ones that find the girl and gets control of her power and abilities.
I have given up every hope of finding the girl myself. Gerald has taken away all my resources, he keeps a strict watch on me because he knows I won’t let this go easily. He is trying to figure out my next move, and I know he thinks I would go after the girl just to have an edge over him. He took away all my resources, yet he still expects me to miraculously find the girl so he could waltz in and take her from me.
That must be why he has his thugs following me and my kids all the time. He has not been able to find the girl, and he is too proud to ask me for help again. He wants to be cunning about it, he wants to frustrate and push me in the direction he wants me to go. And when I find her, he would swoop in and snatch her from me before I’m able to use her for my personal gain. He must think that I’m too stupid to figure out his plans, I guess he doesn’t know how much my family has invested in this war. He has no idea how long we have been fighting to become the king of all wolves.
If he thinks I would let him outsmart me, then he needs to think again. I’m not as gullible as he thinks, I’m not going to be taken for granted by a man that I gave power and influence. He even had to involve my kids in this fight between us. I see his boys following them like parasites, watching their every move as if they were prisoners on parole. For fucks sake these kids know nothing about this war we are fighting. I have not informed them of our agendas, I never deemed it necessary to inform them of our role in the destruction of our world. They have no idea that our family is the reason why a curse was placed on all the werewolves.
If they do, I’m sure I would have a stronger defense because they would do everything possible to make sure we get back our title and position. I just don’t know why it’s taking longer for their subconscious to be awakened, it is taking longer than I expected. When I was their age, I was beginning to see glimpses of our past involvement in evil. And when I hay first son, the picture became clearer, I came to understand that I have a great destiny and delved deeper into black magic, picking up from where my ancestors left off. But their case is so different from mine, and I don’t know why it’s taking so long.
Could it be that my kids are not blessed with the gift of foresight, will they not see their grandfather in the dream as I did?
I had no time to think deeply about Shane and Cameron and the reason why they don’t know about our destiny yet. I would have taken some time off to instruct them and teach them everything they need to know about us, but I was having a hard time with King Gerald and his mischievous tricks that he is trying to use to manipulate me to do his bidding.
You won’t believe that he actually poisoned the stream just to get me to fall in line. I guess he never knew that his mind control tricks don’t work on me. I gave him the formula and ingredients to make the powder that he spread across the country to give him control over all the werewolves in every fucking pack. I made him so powerful, and at the same time, I formulated an antidote that will make me immune to his mind control. The last time we met in my basement, he wanted to subdue me by using his mind control hypnotism on me. But I called him out immediately and I bragged about my antidote to his face,
“Your hypnotism does not work on me. I helped you find the wizards, remember?
I even helped you with the secret ingredient that gave you power over all werewolves. All I ask is for you to force him to do so the right thing, just like you promised me. You refused to take down the former Alpha when it was my turn, then when it got to my son’s turn, you disqualified my son from becoming the Beta, and now that it’s time to rectify that mistake by making my daughter the luna, you still want to turn down my request?

Not on my watch!” I yelled in his face. He turned red with fury, and if not for the measures that I put in place, he would have killed me right there in that damn room. I thought he would be reminded of my hard work and my importance to the cause, I thought he would see reasons to treat me better and fulfill all the promises he made to me. Who would have ever thought that the tyrant would consider my words as a threat to his life and his mission. Who would have thought that my words would only give him more reasons to hate me and my entire family.
He took it as a threat, and now he wants to subdue me and make me as gullible and stupid as the rest of the pack. He’s such an idiot, he thinks I would fall for his cheap tricks. He had the stream poisoned just to get me, he doesn’t know what I have an antidote for every poison he can come up with. I wonder how he managed to convince Alpha Maverick to poison his own people. That boy is so stupid…

It’s either he doesn’t know who he truly is, or maybe king Gerald made a special brew of his poison for him. If he wasn’t so stupid, he would have broken free from King Gerald’s mind control a long time ago. Even his father is not supposed to be subdued by King Gerald because they are Huntington’s and the special ingredient for king Gerald’s portion comes from their gene. As the defendants of the Alpha King, Hunter Huntington, they have the power to defeat Gerald and free the people with their special bond to the packs. But they are too stupid to think in that direction, and now, King Gerald has convinced Maverick to poison the Lake which is our source of water supply.
Using Maverick to poison the lake made it harder for me to detect the poison, but I was able to find out before I got too sick to think for myself. I did not sit back and wait for him to come back here and finish me off, I decided to hit him where it hurts the most. The best response I can give to King Gerald is to show him that I can be as ruthless and cunning as he is. He needs to know that I am a worthy opponent and that he should never dare to double cross. I know I need the dark wizards as much as he does, but the difference is that know a bit of magic myself and I can still operate without the help of the wizards.
But King Gerald is as gullible as they come. In fact, if I didn’t introduce him to these guys, he would never have found them. I used magic to locate their hiding place and when I found them, I shared their location with him and gave him the secret ingredients to give him control over everyone. The plan was to use him to get to where I desired to be, he was supposed to get rid of the Huntingtons and make me the Alpha. But since he decided to double-cross me, I decided to take out his only source of power, the wizards.
They are his source of power, without them, he is not as tough and ruthless as he makes everyone believe he is. The dark wizards are five in number and they work together to create diabolical magic and destroy lives. They were imprisoned by the moon goddess for over a thousand years. It is said that they consulted the demon to make their magic stronger and it instead of making them stronger, the demons made them more heartless and wicked and they went about doing evil. In her anger, the moon goddess cursed the demons and had them ostracized.
But she couldn’t kill the dark wizards because they were under a demon-possessed spell. She knew the demons deceived them and made them evil, sons he couldn’t destroy them immediately. She wanted to give them a chance to change their way, so she had them imprisoned with a special spell that could never be broken from the inside. They remained prisoners for several centuries until I decided to locate them and get them out of prison to help me win this war. When king Gerald decided to be unfortunate, I did the only thing I could do to hurt him.
I took away his source of power, and I sent them back to where I found them, in prison. I reopened the portal and had them pulled into their prison one after the other, just the same way I let them out. I thought I’d succeeded, I did not know that one of the wizards is right here in our pack grounds, and he is saved by the magic of the white witches.
