Michael’s POV
That asshole had pulled a gun on me. He is so damn lucky that he is Bella’s friend. I would have ripped off his head and fed his body to the crocodiles.
He spoke so rudely, insulting my queen in my presence. I could feel the anger seeping out of my friends when they saw the way he spoke to their future queen, but they couldn’t do anything about it because Bella had ordered them to stay calm no matter what.
Seeing her so close to him was pissing me off. I just can’t stand the dude. That memory of him kissing Bella is forever implanted in my mind. Everything he does annoys the fuck out of me. As I watch her hold and caress his palm, I struggled to hold back my anger and control Falcon before he could break free and rip him apart.
I thought that he was a tough dude, but the stupid asshole kept passing out whenever he sees anyone shifting. He is such a spineless weasel. I wonder why he keeps acting like a big shot when he is obviously nothing.
After so much fainting and explaining, he finally got the hang of it but he was just too surprised to believe that his ex-girlfriend is actually a werewolf. I guess he never believed that werewolves existed, let alone knowing that someone close to him is a werewolf.
The good thing in all this is that, Bella actually achieved her goal in all this. When she finally convinced him that she was a werewolf, I could see the change in his attitude towards Debbie. I caught throwing soft gazes her way. I think he’s finally noticing her for the first time.
Before he left the house, I gave him a strict warning, telling him to keep our identities a secret or he would have me to contend with. He smiled softly, acknowledging my words, then he got into his car and drove off.
Bella advised Debbie to follow him home and keep him company but she kept giving flimsy excuses, explaining that he would not want her around because he is still upset about his breakup with Bella. She is just being a chicken and it’s beginning to piss me off.
Arabella has done a lot to get them together. All that is left is for her to make her move on him. But she is still holding back and I just don’t know why. Is she waiting until Bella locks them both in a room and threatens not to let them out until they agree to get together??
Jeez!
This is so fucking annoying! I’ve got some things to discuss with my girl and it is quite urgent, besides, I have other needs that she has to attend to. All these are more important to me than her whiny friend that wouldn’t just go ahead and take what she wants.
I got fed up when Debbie insisted on giving him some time to develop feelings for her. I just can’t stand this anymore. I don’t have the patience to deal with dumb people, so I got up from my seat and I walked towards them, ignoring the pleading look on Bella’s face as I approached them.
“Look here Debbie, no man likes a woman that isn’t brave enough to go after her heart’s desire. Declan is broken and sad right now. He needs a friend by his side, I mean a good friend. You can decide to be there for him or you can let someone else take your place.
But you have to know that Declan is only human. He is not telepathic so he doesn’t know if Bella was telling the truth when she said you loved him. If you want him to believe you, if you want him for yourself, you have to summon the courage and go tell him exactly how you feel about him.
That guys ain’t gonna stay single forever, It’s now or never Debbie. It’s either you go after him now, or you lose him to another girl, your choice baby girl.” I told her the bitter truth that Bella just wouldn’t tell her.
Although it earned me a hard glare from Bella, it actually got through to Debbie. She went running out of the room at a fast pace and when Bella called out to her, asking her where she’s headed, she said,
“Am going after my man Bells, I have to tell him how I feel about him.”
With that she zoomed out of the house, going to Declan’s hotel or his house, I really don’t know and honestly, I really don’t care. What really matters to me is that they have all gone away, leaving me alone with her.
“Now that’s how you handle a Whiny friend.” I said proudly as I turned to her with a smug smile on my face.
“You’re so mean Mike, you chased my friends away.” she complained angrily.
“Umm, no I did not. Am pretty sure they both left because they wanted to.” I retort.
“No Michael, you chased them away. First, you scared the shit out of Declan, and am sure you loved seeing him all shaken up and terrified. Now you’ve scolded Debbie with those mean words and you got her so upset that she ran away.” She yelled angrily.
“Now that’s a lie and you know it. You’re being unfair and unreasonable cupcake. It’s not my fault that your friends can’t handle the truth, is it?
You know what, I think you’re just tensed, why not come into our room, so I can help you relax your nerves, you know I’ll do anything to make you happy.” I coaxed her softly, pulling her into my arms with my hands on her shoulder, massaging it softly.
“Mmmm, yeah. That’s it baby,” she moaned softly with her eyes shut.
“Mmmm, You make it so damn impossible for me to stay mad at you.” she whispered with a soft moan, making me chuckle as I picked her up in my arms and took her up into our room.
“I got a call from my father today.” I announced once we got inside, placing her softly on the bed. Her eyes went wide as saucers and she opened her mouth to speak but no words came out of her mouth.
Damn!
Bella is still terrified of him. She is now so strong and powerful but she simply can’t shake off her fears for the king that ruined her life.
“What.. What did he want? Does.. Does he know the truth?” she stammered out in fear, hugging her body so tightly that it would seem that she is cold.
“Stop it Cupcake. I hate seeing that fear in your eyes. You need to be strong my love, no one can hurt you again, I would never allow it.” I assured her, pulling her in for a quick kiss, making sure she is relaxed before I can continue.
“And the answer to your question is No. I don’t think he knows the truth, well, at least he didn’t say so. He just called to inform me that it’s time for us to come back home because he wants to step down for me to take over.
Apparently, they were attacked by rogues and the rogues succeeded in raiding the king’s realm, they even burnt down some part of the king’s palace, causing the council to rule out that the king is becoming too old to handle his responsibility as a king, so he has no choice but to step down and let me take over.” I explained to her calmly, watching as her brows creased to signify that she is deep in thought.
“This sounds too good to be true. The rogues that we know would never do something like that. I don’t know Mike, but I think something doesn’t quite add up here, could he be up to something?” she asked with a raised eyebrow, looking so cute as she thinks deeply into my father’s request.
“Wow!
I guess we are all thinking the same thing. I was hoping you could tell us if there’s danger ahead. Has Phoenix said anything?” I asked her.
“Hold on a minute, could it be why Phoenix has been acting so weird. I don’t know Mike, I really don’t know. Phoenix has been acting so weird all day and I don’t really think that your father is telling the truth.
What do we do Mike?
Phoenix is not saying anything definite but all evidence proves that we cannot trust in your father’s words. I just don’t know what we are going to do, am so scared.” she let out in fear, looking so scared that it made me feel so bad because no matter what the outcome might be, we still have to return home someday.
We are destined to take the throne and change the rules so it favors everyone. There’s absolutely no way we can fulfill our destiny if we don’t take the throne from my father, so I know for certain that no matter what my father has planned for us, we have to go back home and face him, it’s only when we defeat him that we can rule as King and Queen of all wolves.
“My love, you know I would do anything to keep you safe right?
I hate seeing you so scared cupcake, it hurts me so bad, but we have to go back home Arabella, we have to fulfill our destiny. As long as my father seats on that throne, our people will always be divided. We have to do this, my love, it’s now or never.
Let’s get you back home.” I persuaded her in a soft tone, pulling her close for a kiss, silencing her arguments so she can help me with other things that need urgent attention,
You know what I mean.
