Still Arabella’s POV
Debbie kept eyeing me suspiciously as I led her into the house. She is still trying to figure out what I meant when I said, I was not going to let her remain single and lonely for long.
She got her response when a car pulled in and Declan walked in through the front door, looking stunningly gorgeous in his three-piece suit, with his hair combed in his signature kimpy fade haircut, making him look so delectable.
I smiled in appreciation of his beauty, but the warning growl from Michael was enough to stop me from admiring other guys.
“Don’t test me cupcake, you don’t want to know what I can do when I get jealous.” he warmed through our mind link, sounding so pissed. I had to lighten up his mood so he doesn’t do anything stupid, he can be so jealous and quite overprotective of me.
“Really Mike, Really?
The mighty prince Michael Angelo, getting all jealous because of a mere human?
You know he doesn’t stand a chance, right?
Or, maybe he does,” I said in a teasing tone, getting him to relax as a cute smile spread on his face.
“I can’t wait to shut that pretty mouth of yours with my dick shoved deep down your throat.” he threatens with a smirk, making my pants go wet with my arousal. I blushed when I heard his soft chuckle as he said,
“I can smell your arousal cupcake, I love it.”
Damn!
He always gets me to go weak in the knees, always!
Declan is totally ignoring me. He simply walked in with a gift bag for Debs. He walked up to where she sat, hugging her so warmly as he pecked her on both cheeks.
“Happy birthday Debs.” he whispered to her.
“Thanks, Decks. So nice of you to show up, how have you been?” she asked him with a smile.
“Am fine Debs, but I need to run off now. I’ve got a meeting in the next thirty minutes. I have to hurry so I can get there on time. I’ll see you later.” he said brusquely as he stood to leave.
“Hi, Dec, it’s me, invisible Bella. Can you see me now, or am I still invisible?” I asked him in a sarcastic tone as I moved to stand in front of him.
“Get out of my way.” he ordered angrily, grinding his teeth in anger as he moved to walk past me.
“You need to snap out of it Dec. You are acting so childish and it’s pissing me off already.” I yelled angrily, pinning him a hard gaze as I stood right in front of him, stopping him from moving any further.
“Really Arabella?
You broke up with me on the fucking phone, giving me no reasonable reason for ending our relationship and you stand here, telling me that am being childish? Are you fucking kidding me right now Bella?” he yelled over my head, letting his anger out for the first time since I’ve met him.
“I am trying so hard to control my anger, if you push me any further, you may not like the outcome. I would not be held responsible for my actions, now get the hell out of my way.” he screamed angrily at me.
“Hey, dude!!
You don’t talk to my girl like that,” Michael yelled back at him, walking over to stand nose to nose with Declan, staring him down.
“And what the fuck are you going to do about it?” Dec retorted, pulling out a gun from his jacket, pointing it at Michael’s head.
Michael looked down at him in amusement, giving him a mischievous smile that looks like an evil smile. I know that he is trying to stay calm because of me. He’s a Lycan wolf and he works out every damn day. It wouldn’t take him even a second to disarm Declan and send him flying across the room, but he doesn’t want to ruin my plans, so he simply laughed at Declan’s ignorance,
“You a fucking idiot, that’s exactly what you are.” Michael hissed angrily as he moved to turn around. But Declan unlocked the safety pin of his gun, hinting that he is not ready to back down.
“You need to put that gun away Dec, you don’t want to get him pissed, trust me.” I pleaded softly, trying to get him to drop his silly act.
“Shut the fuck up, Bella. This is all your fault. You’re just a…
Before he could finish his statement, Michael’s fist connected to his face as Michael punched him so hard, drawing blood from his lips as his gun flew out of his hand.
Michael was on him before he could make any move, shifting into his beast as he approached him.
“I warned you, didn’t I?
You don’t talk to her in that tone.” Michael yelled at him, causing him to scream so loud in fear as he passed out from so much shock.
“Now you’ve scared the shit out of him. You’re such a big brute. Why did you shift so suddenly in front of him? You should have let me ease him to the truth, slowly. You’re such a Showoff!!” I scolded softly, glaring softly at him as he chuckles lightly.
“I couldn’t stand it when he speaks so rudely to you. Besides, I just save you the stress of shifting in his presence, you’re welcome by the way.” he responded with a smirk, causing me to giggle at his sense of humor.
“Is be dead?” Debbie asked in fear.
“Of course not. He is just terrified. Just sit still, I’ll calm him down when he wakes up.” I assured her with a smile, leading her back to the couch.
Declan woke up a few minutes later, looking startled and hysterical,
“What’s going on here? Stay away from me, don’t hurt me, please don’t hurt me,” he let out in fear, as he moved backward, going as far away from Michael as possible.
Michael has a smug smirk on his face as he looks at him. He must be getting a kick out of this. He loves this terrified look on Declan, he’s such a big brute.
I stood up and walked towards him, moving gently so I don’t startle him. I sat next to him and took his hand in mine, rubbing gently on it as I smiled up at him. I could hear Michael’s growl as he sends me a warning about my close proximity to Declan. I ignored him totally, focusing more on my scared friend that is sitting right beside me.
“Am sorry I lied to you Dec. I didn’t want to tell you the truth about who I am because I loved you so much and I didn’t want to scare you away.” I told him softly.
“Are you… Are you.. like him?” he stammered out.
“Yes, Declan. Am a werewolf. Michael is a Lycan and he is my mate. Werewolves are mated by the moon goddess, it is so bad to reject a mate, that’s why I had to stay with mine when he came for me. I loved you Dec but Michael is my mate and we are inseparable.
Look at Debbie Dec, see how miserable she is. She’s been that way ever since we broke up. She loves you Dec, she has always loved you, even when we were together she loved you but because she wanted us to be happy, she kept her feelings hidden away.
I know I shouldn’t be playing matchmaker with you two, but you are both my best friends and I can’t bear to see you two so depressed and unhappy. I feel so guilty and it’s making me feel so awful.” I said sadly, squeezing his hand softly as I looked into his eyes, pleading for him to understand how I feel about all this.
” You’re lying, aren’t you. You asked your new boyfriend to scare me with some scary moves, and you’re lying to me right now. You just want to scare me away, don’t you?
You don’t have to be so dramatic about it, Bella. You could have just left things the way they are and let me go. Why tell so many lies?
Debbie has never hinted to me that she feels anything for me, why would you drag her into all this mess?
Am so disappointed in you Arabella. You went too far this time. This is a new low, even for you.” he said with a hiss, looking away from me.
“Watch this, Dec. Watch very closely and tell me if it’s all lies.” I told him calmly, smiling warmly at him before turning to Declan and Brian, signaling them to come over.
Michael wouldn’t transform in front of him because he is still pissed. The girls and I can’t do it either because our clothes would be destroyed when we shift and we won’t be able to shift back because we would be stark naked after the shift.
Brian and Derek came over and stood in front of us, waiting for my signal.
“Alright Dec, this is who I am, watch as they shift into our true form. A little warning though, don’t pass out on me again.” I told him with a smile, squeezing his hand softly.
I turned to the guys and I nodded at them, telling them to go ahead. We watched as they took off their clothes and shifted into their beast.
I turned to look at Declan hoping to tell him, “I told you so.”
But to my greatest surprise, the dude has passed out on me, Again.
