Michael’s POV
It’s all my fault. I should never have rejected her. I was so fucking stupid. I didn’t even try to find her later on. I just left her to such an ugly fate and I went on with my life, acting like it nothing happened.
I was so surprised when she told me her father’s side of the story. Dad never told me the story behind the rebellion of the rogues. I never knew that Brandon Wellington was just fighting for the rights of the ordinary werewolves.
We are way stronger than the werewolves and we always rule over them but I never knew that it was my father that made it impossible for them to live a better life. I’ve always thought that Lycans are more wealthy because we work harder than them, who would have thought that there was actually a law that prevents them from owning too many lands and properties.
I was kept in the dark by the king all these years. He made it look like the wolves were at fault. He called them traitors and they had to run away for their lives.
I can’t believe that he wants me to investigate the rogues in Los Angeles and report back to him. He wants to turn me into a tyrant, just like him. I would never allow it!!!
I thought the rogues only wanted to smear my father’s name and take the throne from him. I never knew that they were only fighting for a better treatment.
I have always thought that Brandon Wellington is stupid because he brought his family to the battle ground when he knew that he would never be able to defeat the Lycan king.
I never knew that my father had tricked them. He knew that Brandon would be camping close by because the day of the combat was approaching. He used the combat as an excuse to catch them unawares.
That way why he had succeeded in catching them all in one place. I should have known!! The rogues are always in hiding, they have never been caught until that very day when my father killed almost all of them.
Now he asked me to help in searching for the rest and I stupidly accepted the mission like a fucking idiot. As I heard her father’s side of the story from her, I decided within myself that I have to stop my father before he finds the rogues and kills them all.
“I have to find a way to stop his tyranny and also end this war against the rogues. I don’t know how am going to do it ill definitely put an end to this war.”
I felt the color drain from my face when she spoke about the rejection. I relaxed a bit when she said that the king had forced the prince to reject her. It means that she knows that it wasn’t entirely the prince’s fault. He was forced to do it and he had no other choice but to comply.
I pray she forgives me when she finds out that I am the prince that rejected her all years. I hope she forgives me for leaving her behind to suffer all this gave injustice.
I can’t believe that the Alpha of Silver moon pack had sat back and watched as she and her mom were abused and maltreated by his Luna, his son, and other members of his pack. I feel like punching someone in the face right now.
I don’t know how he got to be mated to my woman but he definitely crossed the line when he rejected her. He didn’t just reject her, he rejected and humiliated my woman!!!
I just can’t take it. Am seething in rage and so is Falcon. Our mate had been rejected and humiliated. That dickhead is going to regret ever laying hands on my mate. Am going to make sure that he pays for it.
When I take over from my father and become the king, I’ll make sure that he’s replaced. He’s not fit to be an Alpha. His family would become ordinary wolves in the pack.
I’ll let Arabella decide what punishment she wants to give to his Luna for everything she put her through. I would make them all suffer, just like my mate suffered in their hands.
It’s a good thing that Brandon had hidden his assets from everyone. The King would never have allowed him to own all those lands and properties. He would have seized them all if he found out about it.
It is a good thing that she was smart enough to escape from the pack when she had the chance. She had been in hiding all these years, that’s why she never wanted to have anything to do with me.
I am so proud of her achievements. She is so smart and hardworking, that is why she was able to survive all these years. She even worked so hard to make her hotels so inviting and attractive.
The moon goddess had not made a mistake when she chose her as my mate. She is fit to be a queen and am super proud of her. I would never hurt her or leave her again. I’ll protect her with my very life.
I noticed that she was tired and sleepy. She had cried a lot while telling me her story. At one point I had thought that she wouldn’t be able to continue but she had proven to be stronger and braver than I had thought. She shared all her secrets with me and I couldn’t be more excited and proud of her for trusting me with everything.
I pulled her into my arms and rubbed circles on her back, cuddling her to sleep. After some minutes of silence, I could hear her breathing evenly, which meant that she was sound asleep.
I lifted her gently and I carried her into the other room and placed her on the bed very carefully so she wouldn’t wake up. I mind linked Derek to ascertain their current location.
He confirmed to me that the others were still at the restaurant but he was in his suite, speaking with warriors that I sent on a mission. From the tone of his voice, I knew that something was up. I just hope that it isn’t too serious though.
I can’t deal with any urgent matters today. Right now all I want to do is to have a quiet dinner and then come back here to lie down and cuddle with my mate. Every other matter would have to wait till tomorrow.
“I don’t even want to ask you what the warriors reported back to you because I can tell from your tone of voice that it ain’t good and I don’t want to get into it right now. You have to handle it man, I can’t get into it tonight, my mate needs me by her side tonight. First thing in the morning, I’ll get it sorted out.” I said to Derek through our mind link as I made my way to the restaurant to grab a quick dinner.
I was surprised to meet Bella’s assistant at my door. It looks like she wanted to knock but I think she was too scared to even move her hand. She turned a bright red when I opened the door and pinned her a hard glare.

Please don’t kill me, Please don’t kill me, please don’t kill me, please don’t kill me,” she continued muttering in fear with her eyes tightly shut.
Arabella must have told her everything. They must be quite close for her to share her secrets with her and I bet she trust her also because it is obvious that she told her about me.
“What do you want?? Last I remember, our meeting was set for tomorrow and not today, so why are you here??” I asked her in a very strict tone. I had to raise my voice so she can hear me because she continued muttering her silly pleadings for me not to kill her.
She’s so stupid!!
“Don’t make me ask you again, young lady, what are you doing here??” I repeated after some seconds when she did not respond.
“Am so sorry for bothering you but I just wanted to check on Bella. She is not yet back and she didn’t mention to me that she was spending the night here. I just want to know if she’s okay. Please don’t kill me.” She pleaded softly.
I wanted to chuckle at her stupidity but I kind of enjoy seeing her looking all scared and terrified of me. Humans can be so gullible. She thinks that am going to kill her. She must think that am such a wild animal, I mean, am a Lycan but that doesn’t mean that I can go about killing people randomly, does it??
“Am not a murderer young lady, you need to stop acting like a scared little chicken around me, am not going to hurt you, not unless you hurt my mate, Arabella. As for your friend, she fell asleep in my room so I laid her to sleep on my bed.” I told her calmly.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt your friend. Hurting her is like hurting myself. You don’t think that I’ll hurt myself, do you???” I asked her with a smirk.
“No Sir. Of course not. I’ll just get going. Right now!!!” She said hastily as she turned around to leave hurriedly.
“Wait!!!” I yelled at her and she stopped in her tracks, turning slowly to flash me a nervous smile.
“Could you please send some dinner down here, I was about to go up for dinner anyway. It’s a good thing you’re here, right??” I asked with a scowl.
She nodded her head before turning around to scamper the other way.
I chuckled at her reactions as I turned around and went back to my room. A few minutes later, I got a call from one of the staffers. She called to get my order and it was delivered to my room, just like I requested.
Hmmmmm, so delicious!!!
They actually sent some of their delicious, mouth watering chocolate cupcakes as a souvenir.
Damn!!
She’s going to be my new best friend if she keeps this up. These cupcakes are so damn delicious!! I could never get tired of eating them, and right now I have a special cupcake lying fast asleep on my bed.
I climbed the bed beside her and I pulled her into my arms and held her close to me, playing with her soft blonde hair. She snuggled closer and placed her hair on my chest.
That feeling of having my mate in my arms is the best feeling ever. I feel so complete and fulfilled. I cuddled her until I fell asleep right beside her and I slept like a baby.
It could be the hotel facility or maybe it’s because I have my mate in my arms but, I had the strangest dream ever. It was so bizarre but it felt so fucking real….
