Phoenix is definitely up to no good. She’s making me feel that am being stalked. She’s torturing me with his sweet scent, making me feel that he’s close by.
I think she wants to make me long for him. She wants to make me miss him so much so I can finally accept to be with him but that’s never going to happen. I won’t fall for her tricks.

“Yeah right,” I muttered angrily as I shut her out and made my way out of my room to go prepare for my date. I won’t let anyone come between Declan and me. Not Phoenix and certainly not that handsome Alpha.

Gosh, he’s so annoying. It’s been hours since I left that house yet I still can’t get him off my head. The worse part of it all is that I actually yearn for his touch. Just like Phoenix said, I need him, I know I do.
Declan must never find out about this. He’s the son of the mayor and he has a lot of connections in this city. He’s never going to let me go easily because he’s also in love with me.
I wouldn’t want to witness a fight between our mayor’s only son and an angry Alpha. It would be so damn crazy and I know who the winner is gonna be. I know that Damien can never be a match for an angry werewolf.
He’ll probably end up killing him. That’s why I have to try as much as possible to hide all this drama away from Declan. He can be quite stubborn. I don’t want him getting involved with that Alpha. He might end up getting himself killed and it’s gonna be my fault.
The sound of my phone ringing tone snapped me out of my thought. I picked up immediately when I saw that the caller is none other than my boyfriend, Declan.
“Am at the restaurant upstairs and it’s very boring without you.” He whined like a spoilt little child, making me giggle softly at his theatrics.
“I’ll join you soon my love, I just need a few minutes to finish with my makeup. I want to look my best for you baby.” I teased him over the phone.
“You’ll always look amazing even if you don’t try at all. Hurry up my love, I’ve got a surprise for you.” he let out cheerily.
“Huhhh, I can’t wait to see what it is. I’ll be there in a second.” I announced happily as I hung up and went back to finishing my makeup.
Am wearing a purple strapless gown that hugs my figure perfectly and shows off all my beautiful curves, stopping just a few inches above my ass as it leaves nothing to the imagination.
I wore a rose gold ankle strap heels that compliment my gown and I carried a purse that matches my shoes. My blond hair is neatly combed a straightened and I left it hanging below my shoulders.
I decided that I wanted to do a heavy makeup today because Declan used to date top models and their faces are always glittering with so much makeup. This is our first official date and I really want to impress him today so I’m going to do a heavy makeup, just the way he likes it.
I put on some primer before applying and blending my foundation. I put on some concealer, shaped my eyebrow and I did my contour. I put on some setting powder then I left it to bake while I did the rest of my makeup. I put on my eye shadow and a winged liner, then I added some mascara and a bright red lipstick.
When I finished with my makeup and stared at my reflection in the mirror, I nearly screamed in fear at the sight before me.
Jeez!!! I look like a freaking Barbie doll. And am so uncomfortable. If I wasn’t trying to please my boyfriend, I would never have applied this much makeup.
But it’s too late to turn back now. I’ve got a lot of plans for tonight, besides, he’s upstairs already, waiting for me so I picked up my phone and put it in my purse as I headed for the door.
When I walked through the door, I was directed to a seat in the middle of the restaurant and I saw Declan seated with his back turned towards me. He was dressed in a black tux and he had a glass of champagne in his hand.
I did a signal to the waiter that was leading me to our seat, asking him to head back without announcing my arrival. I walked over to where he sat and I leaned down to his cheeks and I placed a peck on it, whispering an apology in his ear as I said,
“Sorry for keeping you waiting my love.”
He chuckled softly before standing up to hug and peck me on both cheeks.
“It was worth the wait my love, you look stunning. I don’t mind waiting all eternity for you.” he teased softly as he leans down to capture my lips in a passionate kiss.
His lips were so close to mine and I was leaning up to meet him halfway, But we had to break apart immediately when we heard a commotion behind us.
It sounded like a fight between some guys and they were standing so close to us that we had to move backwards a little. When I turned around to see what was happening, I was shocked out of my wits by the sight in front of me.
I was wrong guys. It is not a fight between some guys. Guess who it is??!
It is the Alpha and his friends and the worst part was that they weren’t fighting with him, rather they were trying to hold him back from tearing Declan in shreds.
I could see the rage in his eyes. His eyes were shining a bright red and I could see murder in those eyes that once held love and warmth.
I flew into a panic immediately as I pushed Declan aside and stood facing him. I don’t know what to do right now. If I go to him to calm him down, Declan would be suspicious and jealous and it would not end well. If I decide to ignore them and stay put, the rage would overcome him and he’ll attack Declan and tear him apart, killing him mercilessly.

Am shielding Declan from his sight but Declan is not happy about it. He’s trying to push me aside and stay in front so he can protect me. He has no idea what he’s up against. I ignored his warning as I tried to plead with the furious looking Alpha Wolf that his friends whom I assume are his Beta and Gamma, are trying to hold back from attacking.
“I warned you, but you just wouldn’t listen. Now you have hurt his feelings, you have hurt our mate and he is now pissed. It’s all your fault.” Phoenix scolded me angrily.
“This is not the right time Phoenix, I need to talk to him and calm him down so he doesn’t kill Declan.” I retorted in the same angry tone.
“You can establish a mind link with him and then you can talk to him through the mind link.” she stated in a voice that’s laced with mischief.
“Stop fooling around Phoenix. Am not in his pack so how am I supposed to mind link him??? Am I a magician???” I yelled at her in frustration.
“There’s so much you need to learn about us. We have the power to establish a mind link with him and any other werewolf and Lycan.” she explained with a smile.
“Really???
Wow, that’s cool. How do I do it?? I need to establish a mind link with him right now.”
“Just focus on him and I’ll do the rest.” she said in that same mischievous tone that suggests that she has something else planned.
I didn’t think too much about it. I need to calm him down before things get out of control. I did exactly as Phoenix had instructed me, I focused deeply on him but nothing happened. I was expecting some form of magical occurrence but Nada. Nothing happened. I was about to scold Phoenix, thinking that she had deceived me but she beat me to it when she said,
“Go on Bella. He can hear you now and you can hear him too.”
“Are you sure he can hear me??” I asked uncertainly and his wolf answered for Phoenix,
“Yes, he can hear you. I just need to get out of his head, then you can talk.
Oh by the, my name is Falcon. Nice to finally meet…
“Not now Falcon!! I need to talk to him.” I scolded angrily as I cut his words short. He whispered sadly before giving us a chance to talk.
Now the funny thing is, I don’t even know what am going to say to this extremely handsome guy that I’ve been trying to avoid all day.
“Ummmm, can you hear me???” I asked him through our mind link. I sounded so skeptical at first, but when I saw the movement of his eyes as they shifted back to me, I knew immediately that he could hear me.
“Please don’t kill Damien. It’s not his fault. I should not have involved him in all this. Please spare his life and I promise I’ll do anything you want. I won’t run away anymore. I’ll do anything but please don’t kill him…. Please Alpha.” I pleaded hysterically.
While I pleaded with him, I watched as the color of his eyes turned back to his usual caramel colored eyes. He looked surprised at first but his rage overcame his surprise.
I actually thought that he wouldn’t listen to me because his face is still scrunched up in anger and I could see him grinding his teeth in anger.
Then I heard his voice through our mind link as he said,
“You have thirty seconds to get rid of him and meet me in my suite. Thirty seconds, not one second more. And don’t you dare keep me waiting.”
He ordered furiously as he turned around and stumped out of the restaurant.
Am so fucking dead!!!!
