Still Michaels POV
I couldn’t control my anger when I saw that the guys were looking at my mate in that manner. I was pissed beyond control and so was my beast, Falcon.
They were literally eye-fucking my mate and that is totally unacceptable and disrespectful because she is going to be their future queen.
Yes, they are my best friends but we have to set some boundaries. You can call me a possessive asshole, I don’t really care, but I just can’t take it.
I turned to them with a mighty howl that carries the weight of my anger and I released my Aura to suppress every resistance as I screamed angrily,
MINE!!!
They bowed their heads in submission, looking everywhere else but at her. I heard her slip and fall into the stream. I could also hear the ear piercing scream of her friend when she heard my loud howl.
I ignored the scared scream of the other girl and I gazed intently at the damsel that’s making Falcon howl in absolute joy and happiness. I watched her closely as she tried to stand properly in the stream. Her scent hits me once more as I marveled at her heavenly beauty.
She finally regained her stamina and she looked up immediately to see who the intruders could be. As she raised her head up to gaze at me with those mesmerizing deep blue eyes that’s sparkling and glowing brightly.
I could not look away from those eyes. We both stayed at the same spot engaging in a staring contest, lost in the eyes of each other. I only broke it off when I heard the gasp and whispers from my friends.
“What???” I yelled angrily as I turned to them.
“Your eyes,” Derek said in a daze as he gazed at me with his mouth wide open.
“Your eyes are glowing Mike, They are glowing, just like hers… What’s happening??” Brian asked with his face looking exactly like Derek’s.
I ignored their questions and focused my attention back on the damsel that’s making me feel like a little boy all over again.
I could see her eyes roam all over my body, checking me out. Needless to say, I was also doing the same right now. She has the kind of beauty that sends men to war, fighting just to have her and keep her.
Her hourglass shape that begs to be touched and caressed, I could worship that perfect body with my lips and show her just how much I adore her perfect body.
She had all the right curves and at all the right places. Her boobs are so full and luscious, I could suck on them for a whole week and I wouldn’t be tired. And then there’s that ass of hers. It’s so huge and plumpy.
I watched as she got out of the stream and searched for her clothes. I couldn’t take my eyes off her for even a second.
All this while Falcon has been jumping happily in my head, wagging his tail and howling in happiness. On their own accord, my legs propelled me forward until I stood right in front of her. She had already worn her top and she is now struggling to button her jeans trousers. Her coat still lay on the floor so I pick it up and held it out to her with my eyes still locked to hers.
She stretched her hand forward and collected her coat from my hand. I took her hand in mine, just before she could withdraw it and we both felt the power surge and the flow of electric current that flowed through us.
Mate… I muttered with a smile as Falcon released a mighty howl in my head. I could tell that she felt it too but I just don’t know why she looks so sad and unhappy. She withdrew her hand quickly and put on her coat as she looked up at me and said,
“I don’t know who you are or why you have come here, but I have to warn you, you are in private property and I can have your pretty ass sued for encroaching into my property. Now get the fuck out of my land before I have you arrested.”
I could not suppress the deep chuckle that escaped my lips as I stared at her. I was trying to read the expression on her face but I just couldn’t. She looked scared and confused at the same time but she did her best to mask her conflicting thoughts with a tough look as she beckons on her friend and together, they both walked away, heading back to the house, taking her mouthwatering scent of chocolates cupcakes and strawberries along with her.
“What just happened?? I thought she was the one, why did she leave that way?? Don’t tell us you made a mistake again because we all saw how you reacted to her and we felt her aura too. Is she the one???” Josephine asked curiously.
“Yeah, she is the one. Falcon had said earlier that her wolf is weak and suppressed. But when I held her hand, I felt her aura also. I think she’s denying our bond. She feels it just like I do but for some reason, she just doesn’t want to admit that I’m her mate.” I explained sadly as I felt rejected. Falcon was also whispering in sadness because we never expected to be treated this way.
“Are you really sure that she’s the one??? Don’t get me wrong man, I trust your judgments and I trust Falcon also but you seem kind of edgy since we got to this city and you have already made a wrong call today because of this same issue.
Am beginning to wonder if she’s really your mate or maybe you are just drawn to that perfect ass of hers. I mean, with that ass and boobs, I would also claim her as my mate too.” Brian joked stupidly, earning him a growl from Falcon and a smack in the head from his mate Celine.
“What are you doing?? Our mate is leaving us, Go get her!! Now!!!” Falcon urged me angrily. I could tell that he’s also pissed at Brians’s statement right now.
“Don’t fuck with me, Brian!! Am not in the mood. She’s my mate and future queen of all wolves. I don’t know why she’s denying the bond but I have to do everything possible to get her to accept it. I’ve lost my mate once, I ain’t losing this one.
You can help out if you like or you can stay back and continue acting like an asshole. But right now, I have to go after her,” I announced hurriedly as I ran back the way we came, heading straight back to that house.
“I’ll be damned if I let her get away from me. She’s mine and nothing is going to change that.”
I don’t want to let falcon out because he could get totally out of control. He looked like he could mark her on the spot if given a chance. It took all my strength and control to hold him in as I ran back to get our mate.
When I finally got to the house, I took a few minutes to compose myself before I walked out to where they are. Good thing am a Lycan. If I were just human, I would be drenched in sweat right now because of my run through the woods.
The guys have not arrived yet. I guess they decided to slow it down and give me some time to sort things with her. I actually think it’s the best plan because I am about to play a silly game with this damsel that’s playing hard to get.
I don’t even want to know why she’s acting oblivious to our bond. All I know is that am definitely going to get her to be mine.
As I got closer, I could see the guys moving all the equipment back into their car. The other girl was locking up the building while she stood by the side of the car with her back turned towards me, monitoring everything.
As I approached her, I could see her shoulder tense up before she turned around and landed me a death glare. Then all of a sudden, one of the equipments that were being loaded into the car slipped off and nearly fell on her leg but she move away just in time before it could hit her.
If I didn’t know better, I would think that she knew it was going to happen. But that would be so damn crazy and bizarre.
She had that same tense look as I approached her with a smile plastered on my face. Am sure she knows exactly what is happening here. I could tell that she feels the sparks, just like I do but why the fuck is she denying it??
That, I do not know yet. But I intend to find out the truth about her, trust me I certainly will.
“What is it again?? Was I not clear enough when I asked you to get the fuck out of my property??” She asked so rudely and I smiled at her sorry attempt to get rid of me.
I think she has stayed with humans for so long and now she doesn’t value the mate bond anymore. I don’t know why she grew here but I’ll have to win her over before
“I think we got off on the wrong foot. Am here to make amends. I Am Michael Angelo and I want to buy this house. We spoke earlier and I said I would come over to check it out in two days but my plans changed and voila, here I am.” I said cheerily hoping she would relax a bit but she only eyed me suspiciously as she stepped into the car.
“You can finalize the deal with my assistant, Debby. I don’t ever want to see you again.” she started sternly as she shut the car door in my face.
“Excuse me, sir, am Deborah Williams. We spoke earlier about the house and I would appreciate it if you come by my office tomorrow so we could finish up with this deal.”
“That would be fine miss Williams. I would see you tomorrow.” I responded with a smile as I accepted the complimentary card that she handed to me.
“I hope you don’t mind but my boss wants to leave right now. Would you want to check out the house today or could you do us a favor and come back tomorrow??” she asked skeptically, sounding unsure of her words. I guess she’s trying to sound nice so she doesn’t offend me.
“It’s fine Miss Williams, we can actually come back tomorrow. And you don’t have to be wary around me, I’ll buy the house anyways.”
She said her thanks with a huge smile as she said turned around and headed back to their car. I mind linked my guys and told them to come over because we are leaving right away.
I stood by my hired car and waited for the others to arrive. As I stood there, I stared directly at her, making her feel the heat of my burning gaze.
She acted nonchalant, ignoring me totally as she tapped continuously on her phone.
I could not help chuckling at her behavior. She’s definitely playing hard to get, just like humans do.
“Don’t worry Falcon, well get our mate, I promise.”
If she wants us to play this game the human way, then a game. But am definitely going to get her very soon.
