Austin’s POV
After many years of loyalty…
After working together for so long, they decided to kick me out just like that. I was tossed aside like a piece of garbage. First, it was the Bratva, I did every fucking thing I was asked to do, I fulfilled every task, and I paid my dues when necessary. Then all of a sudden, I was suspended for something that wasn’t even worth it. I had an issue with a Bratva brother, he was not supposed to encroach on my properties and he did it on purpose, daring me to reach out in one way or the other so he could report me to the Pakhan and have me queried.
I tried so hard to evade him, but he kept coming for my properties, stealing my top spots and location, locking me out of my own properties. It got to a level that I couldn’t endure it anymore, so I simply called him out to war, and I fucking killed him and his faithful boys. I didn’t stop there, I kicked his family to the curbs and I took all his money and properties, including his shipping docks and container. I combined his wealth and mine, and that was how I became the richest drug lord in the city, and at the same time, I became a sworn enemy of the Bratva.
I was named the number one enemy of the Bratva, and I was their target, every damn day. They kept sending their Bratva thugs after me, and if I succeed in killing them, I get accused of killing a brother and my crimes just kept piling up. I would have continued living my life as I please, and I would have continued ignoring the Bratva guys for as long as I want to. But I got into trouble with the cops, and I almost lost everything I had. I would have lost my life as well, but I got a friendly visit from some of the Bratva captains that I used to know before I got suspended indefinitely from the organization. I was a bit skeptical when I got that call from them, it just doesn’t add up, I thought they were out to get.
Then they gave me a mouthwatering deal that I couldn’t resist. They have left the Bratva, just like I did, and now they want to form a similar similar organization called the Bratva insurgencies. They were going to help me get out of this trouble that I’m currently having with the cops and I’ll also be a captain in the new organization and I will be the most active Captain in the organization. They gave me a laid-out plan on how we can destroy some families and their businesses, then we take the docks and make it ours legally. The plan was perfect, and I had everything under control.
Although it is a partnership, I was allowed to make every decision that concerns our mission. Yes, I know it seems like they set me up with the cops just so they could use me as the face to get everything they need. I was beginning to suspect the motive behind their sudden interest in my affairs, I even thought they were the ones that carried out all the investigations and handed my case file to the cops. It’s something I know that they can do, they could be the ones pulling the strings, backing me into a tight corner. I thought about this for a few days, and I knew within me that these guys were pushing me in the direction they want me to go, forcing me to do their bidding.
I had this thought within me, but I never said a word, I didn’t question anyone, I simply went on with the deal because I was benefitting so much from this deal, besides, I was the one handling it all, I had all the connection and I am the face of the project. Nobody else knows about this project as I do, and there is no way they can possibly carry out this project without me. I gave them reports weekly, I made sure they know how the deal progresses, although, I kept a few details from them and I made sure I was indispensable…
Or so I thought anyways…
But I was wrong, I was so fucking wrong. These guys are more tricky than I could ever be. They tricked me, they made me their lapdog and they made me carry out this project as if my life depended on it. Now that I’m so close to success, they decided to cut me off and replace me with that traitor, Riley. They kept quiet all this while, and they never bothered to pry into my affairs. I thought I was playing a smart game, I had no idea that those bastards planted a mole on me all this while. The idiot has been feeding them with information, spilling everything I wanted to keep a secret.
They knew about my meeting with the Osbornes, and they know about my mistakes and my disagreement with Riley and his Ruthless, stubborn brother, Drake. While I was busy trying to save my ass from Drake Osborne, they were busy plotting against me. They visited him in jail and then offered him the same deal they offered me two years ago. And like a vicious saboteur, he foolishly accepted the devilish deal, and because of that, I am now the most wanted man in this city. I am wanted by the cops, wanted by the Mafia Lord, and now I’m wanted by the only people I could have depended upon. This is so much worse than the first time.
At least, I was only running and hiding from the cops, and I had the Bratva insurgencies to run to. But this time, I had no one to run to, and I couldn’t run out of town because Drake Osborne has every checkpoint covered, he had his boys at every checkpoint and at every corner of this city. They were looking for me and the plan was to shoot me on sight. I had nowhere to run to, they were everywhere, and they practically had me surrounded. I had to think of an ally that would get me out of this mess, someone that hates me less. I couldn’t go to Drake Osborne or Riley either. Drake would probably kill me before he hears anything I have to say to him. And as for Riley, he would probably torture me for months, just to hear me scream in pain while he watches me in amusement. That is how sick he can be.
I tried reaching out to a few friends that I know, but they all turned me down, just like they did the last time I had issues with the cops. In this city, news like this travels so fast, everyone already knows about my predicament, and they are patiently waiting for me to be killed so they can swoop in and take over my territories. The only hope I have is to go over to the Bratva and re-pledge my allegiance to the brotherhood while praying that they tamper justice with mercy and forgive me for my past mistakes. And even if they won’t take me back, they could at least help me fight this battle until I’m free. I know a few secrets about the Bratva Insurgencies, and I’m sure I can trade information for my freedom.
” Otvezi menya v shtab i pereday Pakhanu, skazhi yemu, chto ya prishel s mirom i idu otdat’sya na yego milost’, pust’ delayet so mnoy, chto khochet. YA ssylayus’ na svoye pravo veruyushchego Bratvy. U menya yest’ pravo na spravedlivyy sud i dostoynuyu sdelku, i ya trebuyu vospol’zovat’sya im pryamo seychas.”
“Take me to headquarters, and send a message across to Pakhan, tell him I come in peace and I am coming to surrender myself to his mercy, he can do to me as he pleases. I am invoking my right as a Bratva faithful. I have the right to a fair trial and a decent bargain, and I demand to use it right now.” I instructed my driver in Russian, making his eyes go wide as saucers as he started at me in disbelief. He is my most faithful and most trusted warrior. Every other guy has long since abandoned me to go back to the Bratva Insurgencies. I was given these guys when I joined the Bratva insurgencies, I had a few guys that worked for me before, but I lost them when I first had issues with the DEA. Then when I joined these guys, I was able to recruit many Russians into the Bratva Insurgencies, and I actually thought I had faithful warriors until now.
They were called back by the Bratva insurgencies, and they all abandoned me to my date because they weren’t really faithful to me, they were faithful to the Bratva insurgencies, and now that they have been called back, they have joined the league of Russian assassins hunting me down like a fucking nobody. But Ivan stayed back, and as I revealed to him that I’m about to surrender to the Bratva brotherhood, he is so shocked that his mouth hanged open for a few minutes before he could regain his composure.
“Oni otpravyat tebya obratno k bossu russkoy tyur’my, oni ub’yut tebya, blyad’, yesli ty sdash’sya. Ty deystvitel’no etogo khochesh’?”
“They would send you back to Russian prison boss, they will fucking kill you if you surrender. Is that what you really want?” he asked me, responding back in Russian. He knows the laws, we both know that there is no way that I would make it out alive if I turned myself in. I would be sent straight to prison, and if I don’t get help from someone at the top level of government or someone from a tough organization like the Bratva, I will be killed in less than a week. But I’m counting on the Bratva to make a fair trade for me and reduce my sentence in exchange for information about their sworn enemy, the Bratva Insurgencies.

“Da, Ivan. Vot chego ya khochu, ya luchshe budu sudim bratvoy i umru ot ruk rossiyskogo pravitel’stva, chem budu rasstrelyan kak grebanyy podonok v etom gorode. Prosto otvedi menya v shtab, ya voznagrazhu tebya za vernost’, Ivan. Ty khoroshiy paren’.”
“Yes, Ivan. This is what I want, I would rather be judged by the Bratva, and die at the hands of the Russian government than to be shot like a fucking low life in this city. Just take me to headquarters, I will reward you for your faithfulness, Ivan. You are a good lad.”
He nodded his head sadly as I asserted that I was t to turn myself in. He was sad, I can see that, but he opener the car don’t for me anyway and after I got in, he got into the car as well and drove off into the busy street, driving very carefully at selected routes so as to avoid those checkpoints that has been set up for me. In a few minutes, we arrived at the Bratva headquarters, that is located in an unknown location. I gave him a key to one of my safe boxes in the city. It contains some money that could set him up for life. That is his reward for being so faithful to me. I sat down at the back seat of my car for a few minutes, then I took a deep breath and pushed open the door.
Immediately I stepped out of the car, I was surrounded by almost a thousand Russian thugs, and I got beaten down to the ground as they screamed and yelled at me in annoyance, calling me a murderer and a traitor. I was beaten to a pulp, and I passed out from pain and exhaustion. By the time I opened my eyes again, I was chained up in a cell at the Black Dolphin in Russia. I never got a chance to speak with Pakhan, and I wondered if I would be able to get a message across to him, will I be able to strike a bargain to reduce my sentence?
