Still Drakes POV
“I need you to calm down man, I need you to man up and face your fears head on. I can’t imagine what you are going through, and I know you must be so terrified right now. But I need you to put those fears behind you, take a deep breath, and tell me what happened to you. If I don’t know what is going on, then there is absolutely no way I can help you and your son. Do calm down and talk to me man, what the hell is going on over there, and why is everywhere so noisy?” I told him firmly.
I know it’s urgent, I mean, he sounded so nervous when I heard his voice on the phone. But I need details, I need to know if I need some backup, or maybe it’s something that I can handle alone. If it’s something I can’t handle, then I’ll go with some guys and get them out of here.

“Russian?” I let out loudly, completing the statement for him.

They look and sound like Russians and they have been trying to get rid of us. I don’t know these guys, Drake. I’ve never had any deals with the Russians, why are they after my life, do you know these guys?
Is it something I did or said, why do they want to kill me?” he asked in that same panicky tone that shows how terrified he is. Truth be told, I have no fucking idea that these guys were following me, how did they locate Charles, and why now, why do they want him now?
“Where are you, Charles, did they hurt you, where is Ray, how the hell did the Russians get your location?” I asked in alarm as I realized that it is no joking matter, their lives are truly in danger, and if anything happens to them, it is definitely going to be my fault.

I have no idea how they found me, I don’t even know what they want from me because I have never met a Russian in my life, and I certainly do not have any business with the Russians.
I noticed the van a few minutes after you left. It was parked right across the street, and it looks so strange because the car Is pretty expensive for this place. I did not react at first because it wasn’t parked in front of my house, but after a while, I noticed some strange movements in the car. The driver kept circling this block at short intervals, and I saw one of the guys peeking into this building with binoculars. From every indication, it was clear to me that they were spying on someone in this building. I needed to be sure that it was me they were spying on.
Ever since I lost my wife and kids, I’ve learned to be very observant and cautious, I nearly lost my life the last time you sent people after us. I don’t want to make my son an orphan, so I’m very careful these days, and I try to keep my head low to avoid unnecessary attention. That is why I was so surprised when you visited me unannounced.
They showed up a few minutes after you left, and I thought they were working for you, but when I sneaked around their van to eavesdrop on their conversation, I realize that they were not your guys because they sounded nothing like you and they do not have your family at heart because they wish to expose the truth about your sister and me, and they want to use my son and I to destroy the Osborne cooperation.

They plan to force me to testify against your sister and your parents, they want to use my son and I to hurt your family. You have to help me, you need to get us out of here before they get back.” He explained. I allowed him to finish his vacation, but in truth, I was only stalling him while I rallied the guys. If the Russians are after Charles, that would mean that they know about Casey’s crimes. I’m pretty sure that Riley must have spilled everything to them already. I can’t believe that he would put her life at risk this way. Not to mention the fact that there are innocent kids that will be orphaned at an early age if the Russians succeeded in killing Charles and Casey. I just can’t help but wonder if he even has a conscience, because from where I’m standing, it looks like he has none.
“Wait, Hold on, Charles…
How did you know all this, how did you know they are after me, where the hell are you?” I asked him back as I signed the last document in front of me to transfer the kids to an orphanage. I was given a list of orphanages in the city that have the right facilities and are also willing to accept so many kids at once. I viewed the facilities thoroughly, and I picked the best among them because I want these kids to have a good life. They deserve a breath of fresh air and serenity after everything they have been through. I called the orphanage in advance, and I made a huge donation to them, promising to pay them a visit in a few days. I’m sure they will be getting a lot of donations from elite families in the city when the press releases this article in the papers tomorrow. Not to mention the fact that the Osborne groups are involved, so I’m sure they will be queuing to make donations as well because they will be bidding to secure favor with us.
I’m confident that the kids would be fine, I left a few guys to keep watch over them and make sure they arrive at their destination, then I sent Liam to the hospital to check up on Mia. He offered to come along on this mission, but I need him to be there with Mia and her family. It’s going to be very tough to get to Charles and Ray, I don’t want to leave any of my family vulnerable to his attack. For all I know, it could be a trap, Austin may be trying to draw me out of my family’s side so he could have easy access to hurt the people I care about.
I asked Charles how he got to find out that the Russian guys were trying to use him to get to me, and he confirmed to me that one of the caught him snooping around their vehicle and they decided to throw the deal on the table and let him decide to assist them willingly. I was shocked at his words, and I nearly turned back with my boys because it seems like a big setup. There is no way that Charles Harvey would pass up on the chance to get back at my family. He hated us for what we did to him, and if I’m not mistaken, he was already working on a revenge plan before I met him I know he sounded cool when visited him earlier, but this is Austin Foster that we are talking about. He has a way of getting anything he desires. He can offer him something he can never resist, and Charles may fall for his tricks.
“I promise you, Drake, I did not accept his offer. Trust me, I never go back on my words, I will never betray you, Drake. I’ve given you my word already, I promised to lay low and let you handle this issue. That is what I’m going to do, I won’t back down on my words, and I certainly won’t betray you for anything in the world.
That is the reason why I’m calling you for help. I rejected their offer, and I asked them to leave, but they wouldn’t just go. They are still parked in front of the building opposite my house, and I can see the other guy talking to someone on the phone. I think he is giving directions to his boss or something. They are asking for reinforcement, Drake. They will force me to testify and if I refuse to heed to their warning, they could hurt me and my son. I need help man, I need to get out of here before their reinforcement arrives.”
