Her choice

Book:The Forbidden Reverse Harem Published:2025-2-8

It was her choice that she was crying against the wall.
Her choice, that leads to her being sad for the rest of her life.
She chose sadness over friendship, and it was her choice.
And Alex was going to respect it.
As Cassandra drove through the streets gently, keeping her emotions under check, she hears the teary-eyed man utter, “I love her too much now, Cassandra. If she chooses to abandon us, I’m not going to question it.”
“Do you want to see her suffer as well?” She asks later to which he responds with a sob. Halting the car to the side of the road, Cassandra pulls Alex into her hug.
“I’m sorry. I can’t believe she turned out to be so suggestive to her parents, Alex. You were right. You were damn right.”
“I’ve n-never been so defeated for being right in my life, Cassie. I love her so much…” Cassandra breathes softly. She was not the perfect person to console yet another broken heart. She thought it was best to deliver the boy to their family as they talk about his heartbreak.
And whatever Louis says next was the harsh truth.
“She finally found peace, Alex. She found peace by staying away from us.” Says Louis, patting his brother on the shoulder.
“Where is peace in not being in love, Louis? She’s so cruel.”
“This is how the world sees us, Alex. Do you understand now?” Louis says.
Alex regrets being so ignorant to all the signs they faced as a Johnson. The family was always cursed with not finding true love.
And it all started with Framton.
His wife had cheated on him because he was too kind and loving. He cheated on her because she found peace in another man, something she couldn’t find with the Johnson.
“I’m sorry, Alex. I’m sorry for how you see the world from now.” Alex suddenly smiles as his elder brother speaks.
“I’m not angry at the world, Louis. That would mean I’m angry at my family and my game. I won’t let that happen to me.” Louis’s ears burst with happiness as well as his heart. He embraces Alex tightly as the brothers join the sibling hug, along with Cassandra.
Alex felt so warm at that moment.
Wiping his tears, he clicks his tongue and tilts his head to the side.
“Suddenly, I can’t get mad at anyone anymore.”
“And that’s on maturity. Congratulations, Alex. We love you just the way you are.” Alex laughs when Dan and Nick tickle his sides, he then agrees to Louis.
“Yup! There is nothing better in this world than family! I love you guys!”
And on that day, Alex learns the beautiful essence of the most valuable virtue: Family.
Witnessing the siblings rejoice a breakup, Georgina and Jessica were falling harder and harder for their lovers. They were lucky to see the family get over a relationship so quickly and end it with a good closure.
The Saturday arrives timely.
Louis doesn’t waver his decision as he takes his siblings and others with him to Alaska.
However, James and Peter drop out after hearing about Ravine. James was ignorant, but Peter was a friend who was harshly spat hurtful words at when he tried to talk to Ravine the next day.
“Ravine! You have no right talking to my boyfriend like that! He’s trying his best, dammit!” James Lee yells back at Ravine who throws insults at Peter, fat shaming him from the past.
Peter has been trying to cut down weight ever since he got into a relationship with James Lee. On his own power and will, Peter was starting to look normal and for James, he never looked more sexier.
But as Ravine was trying to insult Peter, James couldn’t hold himself back.
“Shut the fuck up!” He punches his sister square in the face. The impact makes her crash into the sofa as she held her cheek.
For a second, James forgot that his sister was a female. He broke his promise.
His eyes widen as he looks at Peter. Peter was disheveled, his hands over his mouth as he was petrified into a statue.
“R-Ravine… I’m sorry-” Ravine begins to scream out of pain. The pain in her heart.
Her heart wasn’t accepting her behavior, but her mind was cunningly forcing her to hurt everyone who loved her.
Peter cries, he was trying to empathize with someone who was so sisterly to him. Ravine was a great friend, but not anymore. He was willing to accept that fact as he runs out of the house.
James slaps his forehead as he was tugged between two of the most important people in his life. His sister whom he swore never to hurt hee after that incident and Peter, his one and only love.
“I’m sorry, Ravine. But I think you’re choosing the wrong path here. You broke up with Alex and broke your friendship with Cassandra too? Something isn’t right with you. I love you as my sister, and I’m sorry for hurting you again.” Says he.
“You’ll never see me again after today, Ravine. Goodbye.” Ravine gasps as she watches the only male in the house walk out of her life. She had foolishly hoped that James would stick around and help her avenge her parents.
It seems as though she was the only one fighting the battle now. She was to get tired really soon.
On the other side of Canada, Louis and his lovely expanding family were having a wonderful time with the snow.
The girl had come to Alaska in April, on her birthday to hold the ceremonial. That day marks as the last Johnson siblings performing her ritual.
And now again, when there was almost no day here and everything seemed so dark all day, all night, Louis asks his family for an honest opinion.
“Guys,” he clinks the glass over the table, demanding attention, “What do you really think about me?” Louis asks out of the blue.
“Whoa, where is that coming from?” Cassandra asks as he softly knocks her head with the fork in his hand, with the flat side.
“I think you’re the most perfect human to ever exist.” The future doctor and his girlfriend gives an opinion before everyone. The table roars with hooting and howling from the boys, Cassandra joining them as well.
“I think you’re the best brother we ever had.”
“Same.”
“I agree.” Dan and Nick quickly utter after Cassandra says.
“And I think…” Zayn goes next, as he turns to Cassandra, “You are a miracle for our family, Louis. Thank you for being born.”
