After the incident of saving their brother, Cassandra and Zayn were now known as the Daredevil Johnsons in their family and a few people who knew about their actions.
Zayn and Cassandra reached home when they see Louis enthusiastically explaining them the plan.
“Hey, they’re back!” Louis turns to Dan who calls for them.
“Hello!”
“Hi!” Louis takes Cassandra in his embrace as she runs to him, hugging him like a koala.
“So we were talking about a resort I just bought in Alaska. It’s crazy good, Cassie. Trust me.”
“Nice! I wanted to enjoy their hot springs so bad. I’m excited! When are we leaving though?” Saying, she joins the girls squad with Jessica and Georgina.
“Maybe Saturday? We will stay there for a week, roam all of Alaska and come back the next Sunday.”
“Hmm, nice trip! But I wanna go for shopping first.”
“Of course, let’s go together-”
“With my girls.” Louis pouts as she says.
“But I’m your shopping buddy…” Cassandra chuckles as she sinks into the couch.
“Is papa joining us as well?” Zayn asks as he hangs his jacket to the stand.
“Nah, his excuse was he is too old to hangout with us. Besides, the fall launch will require any of us to stay back and look into the matters.”
“Ah, I understand. It’s a pretty big event for you guys, right?”
“It is, Zayn. And as our intern, I want you to come next month to the Launch, aight?”
“You got me.”
When all was going well, Cassandra gets a call from Ravine. Louis sees the ID displayed on the phone as he furrows his eyebrows, smiling at his sister. “Aren’t you going to answer that Cass?”
“Let her rot without me. She was being rude today.”
“Like I said, she must be stressed, Cassandra. Answer her. Maybe she wants to talk something important.”
“Important, my ass.” Burbling under her breath, she goes to the side to talk while the table was noisy with eight different people.
“Hello?”
“Come to my house. I gotta return something to you.”
“What-” before Cassandra could complete her sentence, she hears the line being cut. She felt am uneasy breeze wash over, she turns to face them.
Then, another text pings on her phone.
She lifts the phone to read, [And bring Alex with you as well]
“What she is planning to do?” Lifting an eyebrow, she calls Alex to the side to let him know what Ravine informed her.
“Come to her house? Now?” Alex checks the time, it shows 8:45 at night.
“Let’s go check it out. I’m a little concerned.”
“Yeah. Got it. I’ll tell them.”
After informing their family, the two enter Alex’s Ferrari as they drive towards her house.
“Hi, we’re here.” Suddenly, Cassandra looks up to see a few clothes flying out of the window.
“Ravine! What are you doing!?” Cassandra cuts the call as she yells at Ravine throwing away her belongings from the first floor, from her room.
“Ravine, stop it!” Alex yells as he recognises the coat he purchased for her a few months back.
“Ravine!” Cassandra yells demonically, making Ravine peep out of the window as she says.
“Take your things and leave my heart! Please! Go away!” She cries from above.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!? Open the door!” Cassandra yells. By now, many of her neighbors were looking outside and witness the two Johnsons under the mansion of Ravine.
“Ravine, let’s talk about this please! You’re giving me no explanation!” Alex begs as a few more things were dropped out of her window.
“Just leave me alone! I don’t want any of you! Leave!” Ravine cries loudly.
“What the fuck…” Alex goes around to bang on her door loudly. James was out with Peter, enjoying his stay with his boyfriend. That leaves Ravine all alone in her house.
“Alex! Don’t break the door-”
“Don’t! I’m calling the police!” Ravine yells from above.
“She’s going crazy. Call Louis-”
“No! Don’t! I’ll- I’m calling the police!”
“And say what bitch!? You called us here! What’s happening with you!? Open the fucking door, Ravine! You can’t do this!”
“I can and I will! I don’t want you in my life anymore! Leave! Leave! Please!” Cassandra roars obsceneties at the girl who was yelling back the same words; for them to leave.
“Cassie. Cassie, listen to me.”
Alex tugs at her arm, pulling her back to the driveway.
“No! Let her open the door while I beat some sense into her head! That bitch!” She roars again.
“Leave her alone, Cassie. I’m sure someone’s manipulating her. I was right. It’s her parents.” Cassie gasps.
“Is that true!?” She yells at Ravine.
“Get lost already!!”
“She’s out of her head. Let her calm down, we will come back next week, right? We’ll see about her next week.”
“And you want me to believe she’s safe until then!? Get your head straight, fool! You love her, don’t you!? She can’t do this to us suddenly-”
“Cassandra… I don’t love her anymore. Let her be at peace. She doesn’t wanna be associated with us Johnsons anymore.”
“What nonsense- Alex!” The boy lifts her up and puts her on his shoulder. He locks the girl in the car as he prevents her from opening the door again.
“Argh! What’s wrong with you too!?”
“Can’t you see that she wants a closure from us, Cassie? She wants to be at peace without us. And we- we will respect that.” Cassandra stops trying to fight Alex after he words his mind out.
She looks down at her lap. Ravine and her were such good friends until last month.
“She’s possessed by something, Alex. We gotta help her.”
“Cassie,” Alex speaks with pain in his heart. His face was scrunched up as Cassandra furrows her eyebrows, “I don’t love her anymore. She’s chosen her path. Don’t force her to love us anymore.” He says.
“Why…? I don’t understand.” She softly says.
Alex then pushes her to face the reality as he says with his heart being squeezed by his own hands, “Because we’re the Johnsons, Cassie. We’re cursed not to feel true love. More over, get to experience it.”
