A no one

Book:The Forbidden Reverse Harem Published:2025-2-8

Louis stayed the night at the guest room of the house, near the kitchen. During breakfast as Ms. Zee was serving them the plates, he watches the thick crust of air between him and Cassandra.
It was so thick that he could use it as a punching bag.
“Cassandra, pass me some maple syrup please.” Louis tries to mess with her, not knowing that her crappy days of periods have started. Zayn looks at Louis, warning him not to mess with Cassandra right now. He also notices that the syrup was closer to Louis than it was to Cassandra.
Regardless, Cassandra pounds the glassware with maple syrup towards him. Louis stifles a smile, thanking her softly.
He was right in his assumption that he was mad at her, but couldn’t guess that it was one of her bad, satanic days.
After breakfast, as she and Ravine were watching some boring soap opera, Louis casually strolls by and snatches the remote from her hand. She was totally angered.
“Whoa, hey! Hey! My hair, you witch!” Cassandra declares war on Louis who begins screaming for help. Suddenly, by the smell of something weird on her, he guesses quite correctly, “Yo, you’re on your days!? I’m sorry!”
“You’re only sorry when I’m in a bad mood!? Hypocrite!” Yelling, she hits him with her gentle fists and pillows and even the remote. Louis tries his best to defend himself from her, but a few shots effectively injure him. Tossing her on the sofa was a bad idea, because she activates the missiles of her legs.
“Whoa, combat machine! Stop it!” Louis yells. Ravine runs away to a safe distance, ironically towards Alex. It was as if she found the calm man eating his cereal to be a member who can deflect their attacks, if anything was thrown towards them.
“Stop it, Cassie!” As he says, Cassandra stops trying to fight the male who irritates her. After a few seconds, she pulls her skirt back down and sits calmly beside him.
Dan, after making sure the coast was clear, approaches them and wiggles around to make space between them both.
“Cassie, I’m sorry for-”
“Shush…! Don’t talk. Everyone’s so annoying today.” Dan stifles a laugh that itches to break out. Since the midnight morning, Louis was quite literally breaking his head to come up with an idea to calm her down and earn her forgiveness.
He’s already contacted a lot of people. Using his powers, he was to do two important things:
The first rectification was to aid Ms. Grace through her mental illness, with Psychiatric help. A good one this time. He’s done his research until dawn before approaching his secretary and asking him for the favor.
And the second rectification was to use his powers to legally withdraw all finances that has been stolen from Georgina by her aunts, over 16 years ago. They will be arriving in her bank account within a week as a gentle surprise.
It looks like Louis was really fond of giving people surprises.
“Come here, Cassie. I’m sorry.” Calling for her sweetly, she allows the man to climb on her funnily and hug her. His huge figure on her little body suffocated her greatly.
“Move aside, you bear. Ha!” She breathes loudly and drastically which makes Dan laugh. At last, he relaxes into the couch.
“I know I was being a dick, thank you for making me realise that.”
“Hmm.” She gives him a slanted smile.
“And I’m sorry for making you cry. I didn’t want you to. But I would love it if I see a change in your.” Louis furrows his eyebrows.
“Damn, Cassie. You’re cold as ice these days. But your advices are top tier.” Cassandra makes a funny face at his compliments as her answer remains the one that was stuck with her since grade 7.
“Books make me feel mature, Louis.”
Zayn, who hears her wordings for the second time looks up at her. He fixes his glasses, blinking rapidly.
Those were the same words HIS Cassandra uttered when they were stuck at her house during the hailstorm. Their first encounter as lovers.
“Get off, you weigh like a baby elephant.” Dan bursts out laughing at how merciless Cassandra was being the whole day to Louis. He loved the pair, they were bickering all day.
However, in the evening when Ravine waves to Cassandra and leaves to her house, Cassandra swiftly makes way to the couch where the boys were eagerly waiting for the football match results.
“Zayn, get up.”
“No, I’m watching- Whoa!” The boy doesn’t get much time to respond as Cassandra lifts him by his collar and drags him along with her.
She opens her door and pushes him on the bed.
“Cuddle me.” She whispers.
“The door’s open though.”
“It’s fine. I don’t wanna give them a wrong idea.” Agreeing with her expeditious thinking, he freely cuddles her to sleep.
The evening goes on without the two in the siblings group. The four remaining boys play cards and all the games to entertain themselves. It comes as a surprise that Dan had a girlfriend now. Alex and Nick quickly approved of the girl.
As they congratulated him, Louis faced his eternal damnation which made him smile sourly. Dan notices his mood right away, whispering softly.
“It’s alright. You’re okay with it now, right?” Louis nods. Not just because Georgina had a terrible past and was a rich noble from the beginning but he looks at love in a different angle now.
All thanks to his sister who showed him the right path to think. He agrees that he was too narrow-minded before.
He thought it was his duty to keep matters regarding the Johnsons safe, and protect the family’s image, integrity and prestige.
He failed to realise that he was living in a very real world with a loving family around him.
He was grateful to the life that Framton gave him. If he wasn’t adopted by Framton 20 years ago, he would have grown up to be… a no one.
