Cassandra fell sick to her stomach. Clutching the ceramic, she throws up all her food and sighs, sitting against the door whilst her legs spoke of giving up. She meekly wipes her mouth and makes a disgusted face. After gathering some energy, she gets up to flush the contents down and goes to wash her face and hands.
Ravine… was an incarnate as well.
She resembled her best friend so much that she couldn’t believe she died in this generation to be reborn as the sweetest soul alive there.
Was it all redemption?
The Overlord’s masterclass plan of some sort?
Shaking her head, she stares at her own image in the mirror before wearing her bag and waking away briskly. All she wanted to do was get back home as soon as possible.
She gets into the bus, maintaining the status of a non-Johnson as she catches the sight of Zayn from the moving bus.
“Shi- Mr. Bus! Wait!” She yells in front of the conductor who comes to punch in tickets. The conductor stares at her, stopping the bus as she gets down. She must be a nuisance to the other passengers but she didn’t care. As she got down, tears cascaded her face. Zayn widens his eyes, enquiring her what was wrong.
“R-Ravine is a reincarnate! She’s from here too! L-Like us!” She says to the male.
“What…?” He understands the void of a depth the situation dawned upon her. Looking around, he drags her near a tree and hugs her as tightly as possible.
Does that also mean…?
“Poor Cassandra. I’m so sorry…” This time, his eyes were stinging as well. She had too much on her plate to digest. Eventually, all of her people from the future must perish and that wasn’t something she was comfortable with.
Heck! She doesn’t want the people of her generation to disappear into thin air!
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry…” he says.
After a while of crying all her moisture out, she wipes the snot from her nose and takes a deep breath. He pats her gently, further wiping her face with the pads of his thumb.
“Look, Cassie. If you’re allowing yourself for some deaths here, that’s fine. Louis and now Ravine. What do you want them as?” He asks her. Her little lower lip wobbles with sadness, he purses his lips and knew it wasn’t the right time to question her about it.
“Let’s just go home.”
“You go. I’ll walk and come home.” She says.
“Alright.” Kissing her forehead, he looks around and sees the car there, having Alex as the driver of the loud ass supra and Dan sitting behind them.
Dan captures a lady figure behind the tree. He immediately knew it was Cassandra, because she had the curves and her height. He ignores her, forcing his mind to forget about her body.
Besides, he’s found a new chick to satisfy his urges. Alex already had one, Nick portrays himself as a good fella but oh was he a player.
“Why’d you run here, asshole?”
“Exercise.” Lying, Dan looks at Zayn who smiles at his brother. Alex and Nick sat in the front while Zayn and Dan were at the back. The scarlet colored automobile disappears from her sight. She slowly emerges out as a departing part of the tree and leaves the area as well.
Plugging in her expensive airpods to her mobile, listening to some songs while her data seemed immortal, she comes across a vendor’s area which humiliates her. She looks down at her skirt, subtly pulling it down to cover her thin thighs. It wasn’t going any further below. The belt stuck to her skin like glue.
“Miss! Miss! Please buy this! It will suit you.” She pretends not to hear them.
“Miss!”
“Sister! Buy this! It will make you prettier!”
“What a pretty youngster! Miss, you should try this!” Even though her headphones were yelling inside her ears at full volume, she could still hear their persistent convictions as if she was a doll they were talking to.
“No! Please!” She pushes away a vendor.
“Miss! That’s bad! Why did you push him! Do you like it if I do this to you?” She gasps when a person pushes her the same way. “What the fuck!?” Yelling, she slaps the male who touches her, ‘demonstrating’ how it feels when he only wanted to touch her.
“What the hell, Miss!?” The man yells, placing his mounted items on the ground. The commotion silences as it becomes a little arena. Cassandra felt her insides melting with anxiety. Her poor heart was thumping like a drummer with passion.
“You wanna pick a fight?” The short man says, his smelly breath making her snap her neck away from him. She moves back only to crash into a male. “S-sor-”
It was Dan.
He looks down at her, holding her waist.
“Who do you wanna pick a fight with? Hmm?” His demand makes the short man shiver. He stutters, “That slu-” the next letter doesn’t even make an exit from his mouth when Dan punches the male in the gut.
“I saw everything.” Claims, turning to the man who pushed her in the first place.
“And you,” Dan walks to the male who was begging Dan not to hit him. The man fell on the road himself, Dan couldn’t resist kicking the molester.
Taking photos of the two, Dan sends it to Louis who had more political/police power than he. He’s going to take care of it.
“Come.” He clutches the girl’s hand, walking away briskly.
So many incidences happened today with her.
“T-thanks. But how-”
“I saw you with Zayn earlier. And those vendor’s were drunk bastards on the road.” He grumbles out of his chest.
“I’d also like to ask you…” She slows her pace, no longer feeling the need to flee a scene quickly.
“What’s it?”
“You… you’re not angry on me, are you?” She asks him. He chuckles after a few seconds, “Nope. I know that shouldn’t have happened between us. It’s both our fault and I know you’re beating yourself up for it. Don’t be. It… just happened. Let it not hold you back, hmm?”
“You’re such a good brother-” She blurts out, unable to understand the situation.
“Thanks.” He says, chuckles as he looks at her embarrassed face.
