The concern was spreading across their faces.
“What the fuck did we do?”
“Some crime maybe.” Cassandra answers casually. He shakes his head, looking out to the abyss.
“These aren’t scars of a blade. I know it’s not.” Says Zayn. He begins to research alongside Cassandra on birthmarks and their importance.
They scroll to infinity, none of the sites seemed authentic. That was until they bumped into one of the sites that declared- “Free tantric and karmic resolution chart? The fuck is that?” Inquisitively, Cassandra asks Zayn as she sat on his lap.
“Let’s explore it.” He adjusts his spectacles and clicks on the site. It required him to pay a few dollars. They click their tongues. Zayn falls back on the rotating chair, closing his eyes. Cassandra was too close to giving up too.
“It’s okay. Web isn’t the only source of information-” Says Cassandra as she pats his chest softly. Then, they see the screen darken out of the blue.
“do on b on ds? !dss nn! n on?” The bizarre texts on the computer screen scares them.
“Zayn…” Cassandra’s voice was filled with dread. It was a Gothic sphere which they didn’t want to escape.
Zayn engulfs Cassandra as she felt scared. “Shush, it’s fine. It’s not a scary site.” He says and switches the lights on with his phone.
The room was lightened as the text reverses itself.
[Do you remember your past? Are the glimpses haunting you?]
“That’s what it says…”
“Zayn, I’m scared.” Cassandra’s voice was cracking. “Shush, Shush, Shush… I’m right here. It’s fine.” Saying, the man dares open the site.
There, a small chat box on top of the screen was present.
[Did you see glimpses of you and your lover in a car crash?] The system enquires them.
By now, even Zayn felt very scared of the site.
“Fuck, it’s not closing.” Zayn was panicking as his mouse wasn’t working. He even tried switching the computer off but it didn’t work either.
“Zayn! Call someone!” Already in tears, Cassandra screams at the man who grunts out of confusion. The screen was still on!
Suddenly, all lights are cut off.
Cassandra’s fear filled wails were the only noise against Zayn’s troubled breathing. The two clung onto each other and looked at the moonlight seeping out of the window.
“Zayn I’m scared!” Yells Cassandra.
“Is anyone there outside!?” His gigantic room was hellishly soundproofed. He cursed his situation as he looks at the screen glowing out of the blue again.
[Click me.] The site showed in big letters, it the whole screen space.
Zayn was scared too, who wouldn’t? He begins crying softly while holding onto Cassandra.
“Don’t leave me please.”
“Don’t leave me…. again….”
As soon as the words leave his mouth, a strong amount of force rips the two apart from each other.
Before they could perceive anything, they were flying inside a vortex of a realm unknown. There seemed no end as they kept falling until they lost their separate consciousness.
