The students weren’t letting Cassandra move away from her space. They clammed up against each other, the area becoming stuffy. Cassandra almost got her shirt torn by the force of pulling herself out of the crowd.
“Dammit!” She curses at herself and quickly found am exit to leave. She runs around the building, and reaches the said window.
There was literally no one on this side of the building, also it reeked of bad moist odor of the moss.
She looks at Zayn trying to open the screws to the window to allow herself inside.
Once the grill was put down, Zayn forcefully pulls Cassandra into the cabin.
“Ow, ow! That hurts!” She exclaims silently, because the crowd was right outside and they can hear them.
“What the fuck was that!?” He exclaims in anger. She widens her eyes, for a second getting confused but she relapses her memory and says.
“It wasn’t me, dammit! I was at home all the time! Ask Louis!” He whisper shouts. She couldn’t believe her own adult boyfriend fell for such a cheap trick of that.
“You’re insane.” She grumbles, applying reverse anger on him. He too went silent for a while before turning her around gently.
“I’m sorry. I’ll get my IT professionals to delete that post for you immediately. It was fake, I couldn’t see it properly because my minds all clouded.” He explains, yet Cassandra was not in the perfect terms to understand him.
“Still not a reason to blindly trust an outward source than your own girlfriend.” She folds her arms over her chest. He was in disbelief, his shoulders slumped down.
“Fine. I fucked up, okay! I hope I can get your forgiveness.”
“Not so soon.” She replies with a poker face, making him sigh out loud.
“I’m sorry, Cassie. Also, I need you to do something for me. Can you?” As disinterested She was, she still needed to find some damn answers to solve this stupid puzzle.
“Go on.” Says she, “I heard there is a tantric, he’s a little off but he can see a lot of things. Now while I expore my basement tonight and you go find a few clues about your future or… or even the past, it’ll be grateful.” Saying, Zayn passes her a huge bundle of money.
For an instant, Cassandra thinks it was money given to buy her like a prostitute.
“Woah, I’m not that cheap I mean-” Zayn couldn’t help but notice the miscommunication as he laughs in his palm.
“No, silly. That’s for the tantric, also if you wanna buy lingerie then I’m not complaining.” Says Zayn as Cassandra closes her eyes and mouth as she reflects on her gutter worthy thoughts.
“Fine. I’ll see you soon. I’m bunking today’s classes.” Fishing out her phone, Cassandra instantly puts a little message to Ravine to go home too. She doesn’t give many details, but she assures Ravine that she’ll be fine.
Zayn couldn’t completely wait for her to chat with her friend. He grabs the phone from her grip and places it down on the desk, “What are you-”
Quickly holding her little face in both his hands, he begins eating her face like a dog. Cassandra couldn’t keep up with his pace, she felt like her soul was being sucked out of her mouth. Although, the next second she was competing with him as their smooching sounds were increasing.
“Dirty donkey.” He says to say, she smirking against his glossy lips, “Giant giraffe.”
They chuckle against each other at their new descriptive nicknames.
“I’ll see you soon, Cassie. Better buy that lingerie.” He says as Cassandra jumps out of the window. Turning back, she leans forwards as he does too.
“I will, if I want to.” Teasing him, they experience a kiss again above the window.
As instructed by him and following the directions on her phone, she reaches a temple and there were many people of different ethnicities. It had a good spiritual vibe to it as Cassandra entered with all her belongings intact to her.
She searches for a man on the scene, referring to the image Zayn sent her.
“Guru Aadya.”
The said man lifts his head, his one eye opened. (People, please realise that I’m an Asian. Which Asian, I ain’t telling lol)
“What do you need, child? You seem troubled.” The old monk says right off the bat. His intuition surprised her. She wanted to test him, but she doesn’t want to ruin his image nor unleash his anger. He looked pious, but the worst type of anger is hidden in pious looking people somehow.
“You wish to test me, young lady? Go ahead.” She didn’t need no test after that said. He chuckles at her surprised reaction, because the old monk read her mind already.
“U-uh, may I please sit?” She asks politely, the man now opens both his eyes.
He spreads his palm and lets her know she can sit.
“No one has ever spoken so delicately with me, young lady. What do you visit me for?” Asks the old man.
“I… wanted to see if there is something too wary about my future or my past. It also has to deal with my other half, my lover who is kind of double my age.”
“Love has no age, my dear daughter. Say your prayers.” He says.
“May I be able to see the devil in me.” Says the Tantric. For a second, Cassandra did not want to say the prayers with her eyes closed. Seeing her hesitation, he stops her as she says the first word of the prayer.
“May-”
“Young lady. You must be knowing the good and bad aspect that resides within everyone.”
“Yes, s-sir.”
“The good is associated with your present. The life that you lead. The bad is however what you perceived in the past and the devil can see the future and calculate from your past. I am contacting the devil to see if he has seen your past already. I shall convey to you what the devil has said to me.” Says the Tantric.
Cassandra was still not convinced.
She was not convinced even when the old monk said her past needed to be fixed.
But how?
Does it depend on her present and the future?
Apparently not.
Because she receives a call from her boyfriend.
His panicked voice speaks in terror.
