Chapter 84. All Eyes on Arthur 4

Book:Searching For His Pregnant Girlfriend Published:2025-2-8

At The Government Hospital.
Nichole left her superior’s office gleefully. Then, Lorene, who was walking to Evelyn’s office, saw her and dodged. Nichole, who saw her too, turned a blind eye and walked into her office.
At Evelyn’s Office
When Lorene was certain that Nichole was out of sight, she sneaked into Evelyn’s office.
“Lorene, why did you creep? Is anything the matter?”
“Nothing. I just want to avoid that loudmouthed bitch.”
“Oh! You mean that used-up simpleton who vents her disappointment on others.”
“Exactly.”
They laughed to their hearts’ content. Then, Evelyn inquired, “What is the gist of your visit to his office yesterday? I can imagine the two of you making out right there on his desk.”
“Wow! You just rekindled my obsession with him. I was unable to meet him yesterday but trust me; I will check on him again today.”
“That is good. I can’t wait to see the look on the face of that cotton-headed ninny mugging when you succeed in getting what she could not get.”
“You better don’t imagine that. I will flaunt him anywhere I go. I will send the video of our first night to her.”
“Ha! That would be murderous because her cuckold ugly duckling would be a disappointment on the bed.”
“You are right. I will be on my way. I will round up for the day to catch him up for lunch.”
“It is all right. Good outing.”
“Thank you.”
She left Evelyn’s office with a rekindled determination to get Arthur and keep him. Then, she summed up her work for the day, and soon, it was lunch. She picked up her purse and left for the car park and afterward, she drove to the Bailey International Conglomerates.
While she was about to drive out through the hospital exit gate, she saw the ugly cuckold duckling driving in with his jalopy to pick up the frustrated Nichole.
She laughed out loudly in her car and muttered, “Funny. So, this is what frustration had landed Nichole into?”
She drove off to meet her heartthrob at the Bailey International Conglomerates, who only exist in her mind.
As for Arthur, he belonged to only one person, Nichole. When he got to the premises, he called his wife.
She picked up at once and greeted him, “Hello, love.”
“Yes, my baby. I’m driving into the hospital. I will meet you at the vestibule.”
“OK dear,” she agreed with him and walked to the vestibule.
When he got to the vestibule, Nichole was already waiting for him. She bade the staff members around her farewell and got into her husband’s heavily tinted clunker.
As a matter of lifestyle that Denise had adopted, he would never drive off at once whenever he picked up his wife. He must chat for a few seconds before taking off. That day was not an exception.
(Peck)
“How was your day?” he inquired.
“My day was excellent. And yours?”
“My day was good, and your message was the icing on the cake. Thank you for that.”
“Thank you for your prompt response. It made my day.”
When he noticed that the stipulated time for waiting at the vestibule had elapsed, he drove off while chatting.
“How far with your superior? What did he say about the leave?”
“Oh! He granted my request. I just got his approval a few minutes ago.”
“That is good. When will it begin?”
“It will begin from Monday.”
“That is good.”
They drove silently and arrived home to meet a palaver at the gate.
At The Bailey Native Home
Whitney, who left the office gate was already at the gate sorting it out with the security guards.
“Who did you say you want to see?” One of the security guards asked her
Meanwhile, she had blocked the entry gate, which served as both the entry and exit gate. They hardly opened the exit gate because there was not much traffic at the estate. Now, Arthur parked his jalopy behind her and waited.
“How many times do you wish to hear that? I said I am looking for Arthur. I was with him this morning in the office, and he asked me to meet him at home,” the lady responded.
The security guard repeated the question when he saw his boss parked behind her to ensure that she knew whom she was looking for. Her responses suggested that she did not know him and the boss did not know her as well.
In other words, she was not with him that morning.
“Please, move your car away. Another vehicle wishes to go in,” the security man pleaded.
The mention of ‘move your car away and another vehicle’ infuriated her.
She got out of her car and began to rant, “Move away for another vehicle? Where is the car? Are you comparing my car with that rattletrap? I am not moving my car away for any jalopy.”
Now, the Security Officer, who felt embarrassed, opened the exit gate for his boss and he drove in.
“What does she want?” Arthur wound down his window and asked.
The Security Officer felt she was not worth his attention and lied, “It is like she missed her way. I will see to it. Welcome back, Boss.”
“Okay. Thank you,” Arthur appreciated him and drove in.
Then, the Security Officer locked the gate and brought out a wheel lock. He locked the wheels of her car and called the police. She could not believe what was happening. She thought that her beauty and age could captivate any man into doing her bidding.
“What do you think you are doing? You will regret your action,” she ranted.
While she was still ranting, the police officers arrived and picked her up. To her, she was arrested for disturbing public peace. But to the police, she was an accomplice connected to the assassination attempt on Arthur.
“Good job, do not hesitate to supply us with useful information like this,” the police officer commended the security guard before they took her car along.
When they got to the office, the Constable was pleased.
“That is good. Beef up security around him. Arrest anyone with suspicious movement around him. Did you get it?”
“We got it, Boss.”
When the government is being pensive over issues like this, be rest assured that they were up to something expensive. Whitney’s movement from the complex to the Native Home was indeed suspicious.
