Somewhere in the outskirts of the city, Lily Allen sat in her living room staring at the TV screen in anger. She had watched the video over and over again, and each time she became more ignited in anger. It was a video of Tristan and Isabella on the red carpet for his new product launch. She looked at the screen, noticing the way he held her, and looked at her with love as they pose for the camera, making her even more pissed.
She thought he would look miserable or devastated considering the hatred she saw in Isabella’s eyes on their supposed wedding day. But was this love? Are they in love? She taught as her mind went back to the way he stared at her. She grabbed her phone, staring at the comment on the post from insta and it angered her even more that she looked at Isabella with hatred.
“Is he here yet?” She asked the hefty man who stood behind her. He was part of her security and wore all black.
“No ma’am,” he responded and she almost crushed the TV remote.
“Send him over to me once he arrives,” She instructed and he bowed immediately.
“And where is my food?” She rose on her feet and stomped her foot walking to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Lily was yelling at her cook, basically pouring out her frustration on the poor lady when the hefty man walked in.
“Yes,” She glared at him, but he didn’t flinch at all.
“He’s here,” He stated simply, and immediately her anger dissolved, as she turned around to leave.
“I’ll be back for you,” She poked the poor lady’s shoulder, before following behind him.
She gets to the living room and notices him sitting down staring at everywhere, and her smile widened.
“Lily?” He called out shocked.
“Brett Dominic Chen,” She called out happily while he rose to his feet, staring at her in astonishment.
“I thought you were..,” he was still saying but Lily Allen interrupted him instantly.
“Killed? Dead?” She shrugged her shoulders, walking to the sofa.
“Or do you mean kidnapped?” She laughed and sat down, while he did the same still shocked.
“So you weren’t kidnapped?” He wasn’t asking but stated confusedly.
“I guess you figured that one quickly,” she laughed.
“I can’t believe this,” He added and threw his hands in the air.
“I know right?” She giggled.
“It feels so surreal, like a melodrama,” she laughed a bit, covering her mouth.
“But why Lily?” He asked her, even though he knew maybe she might not tell that to him yet.
“You left Tristan when we had a perfectly solid plan. One that was going to work. It was perfection, but you ruined it all. You ruined everything,” He stated in frustration.
“A plan?” She scoffed and eyed him.
“You call that perfection?” She folded her hands and sighed, pushing her hair backward.
“A plan that only favors you? Please shut it down, you were going to reap and take everything from my supposed husband and leave me dry at the sidelines while becoming the great Dominic,” She glared at him.
” I don’t think so,” She clicked her tongue repeatedly at him.
“I promised you, I told you I’ll give you 30 percent of the money I will receive. I promise you that,” He half yelled at her, and clasped his hands frustrated.
“Your words mean absolutely nothing to me. I might have slept with you in the past, doesn’t makes me stupid,” She told him and laughed hysterically.
“Well right now you seem pretty stupid to me,” He laughed immediately and the hefty man moved closer to Brett scaring him a bit, while he stopped laughing.
“Now baby, to the reason why you are here, before you get killed cause of your darn mouth,” She eyed him and poured him a glass of wine.
“So why am I here?” He asked her and received the glass of wine from her.
“Same reason as before,” She started gazing at him intently.
“Tristan? ” He said and she smiled at him.
“Well that window closed already and there’s nothing you can do about it now,” He stated and stood up to leave, when the hefty man blocked his path, and pushed him back to his seat.
“You do know who I am, right?” He glared at him and stated in a whisper.
“Don’t be so sure of that Brett, there’s still a window of opportunity,” I giggled at him, but he didn’t look convinced.
“What is it, Lily?” He asked glaring at the man in black.
“He’s in love. Tristan is in love,” She looked thrilled.
“So?” He asked nonchalantly.
“So?” She scoffed.
“Are you dumb?” She questioned
“He has a weakness, you idiot,” She stated frustrated that he didn’t get her point.
“Don’t you dare call me names Lily Allen,” He warned her, and she felt a lump in her throat from the way he spoke in authority.
“All I’m saying is that this is the perfect time to mess his life up,” She giggled at the thought of that.
“We can take Isabella from him, make him miserable and devastated. And I bet you that Tristan would do absolutely anything you want if we have Isabella,” She laughed evilly, and everything started to click and make sense in Brett’s head.
“So this is mostly about her(Isabella) and not him?” He stated.
“I bet you couldn’t bear to know that he could possibly be happy without you,” He snickered at her trying to hold his laugh.
“You dare not,” she pointed her finger at him, agitated by his comment.
“Well, I didn’t take you for someone with fuzzy feelings,” He chuckled.
“Well unless I’m wrong,” He laughed.
“But,” He paused and rose on his feet walking to her.
“I think you are onto something, and maybe you are right,” He smiled, and a smile appeared on her face too, hearing what he just said.
“So what is the plan?” He asked while she looked at him thrilled.
“Oh I have lots of ideas,” she chuckled as they poured more wine into their glass, looking pleased with each other…
