Isabella
“So how did it go,” Ava asked immediately after they pulled away from the hug.
“Good,” I lied with a smile on my face.
“What do you mean good? You’re dying and there’s nothing good about that,” Amelia said.
“There’s no point asking you, ’cause I’m not believing a thing you say. Let’s go see your doctor,” Ava said and rushed towards the nurses at the counter.
“What is she doing?” I looked at Amelia asking for girls’ help, but instead, she joined Ava taking me by surprise. The nurses rushed to call Doctor Eddie who happened to be conveniently walking that path at the time my friends wanted to see him and know about my condition.
“Great. Why is the universe so mean?” I thought to myself. I didn’t want them getting into the details of my health, and this was why I had kept it to myself. Ava was very emotional and if they thought or heard that it was bad, they were going to make me want to take the surgery or worse tell Tristan. And I didn’t want to do any of those.
“Doctor Eddie, please tell my friends that I’m fine,” I said even though I knew he wasn’t going to listen to me, but I said it anyway. He looked at me and took my friends into his office, while they left me outside.
I waited for them at his door, and a few minutes later they opened it open, and Ava came out wailing like a child, and Amelia looked shaken as she had tears all over yet face.
“Damn, what did he say to them? ” I was frustrated by their reaction, as I tried to console them when Ava spoke.
“Why aren’t you taking the surgery?” She cried out and hit my shoulder lightly.
“Please Isabella, take the surgery,” She added in a plea, get eyes filled with tears as she held my hands.
“Hey look at me, I’m okay,” I said because they were making a scene as the people who passed the hallway we stood stared at us.
“You’re not okay, you’re dying,” Amelia screamed at me. Her eyes were red she looked at me nevertheless frustrated, angry, and sad at the same time. My heart hurt from the way she spoke, and I had never seen her this way before.
“Do you want to die? Huh? Why are you doing this?” she broke down in tears, asking and I felt a lump in my throat.
“Amelia,” I called out and rushed towards her, trying to reach for her hands but she took her hands away before I could.
“God Isabella, please take the surgery,” she begged me, while Ava was still crying profusely.
“I said I’m fine, and I don’t want to do it. Why can’t you believe me?” I yelled at them frustrated.
“You don’t want it? Why? Why not?” She yelled the last sentence at me.
“I’m tired okay, I’m just tired, so let me be,” I said to them, as tears gathered in my eyes.
“Isabella please,” Ava added.
“Now this is why I didn’t want you guys here with me. I don’t want your pity or your tears. I don’t want you guys here anyways, so leave,” I blurted out in anger.
“You don’t mean that,” Amelia says and walks to me.
“You don’t mean that at all,” She sniffed in and repeated while tears poured from my eyes instantly.
“Just go away,” I said to her, but she hugged me instead as well cried on each other shoulders.
“Everything is going to be fine,” She whispered and patted my back, while I wailed like a child. We stood there for a few minutes and after I calmed down, she gave me a handkerchief and helped me sit down.
“You’re good?” She asked looking calm as well, while I nodded my head.
“Good,” She breathed out while Ava walked towards us.
“Let’s go get ice cream, maybe we’ll feel much better,” Ava said and we chuckled while nodding our heads before leaving the hospital.

“So you guys saw your parents yesterday,” Amelia smiled and I nodded.
“Damn that’s huge,” She added, and I couldn’t agree more about that.
“When are you going to tell Tristan about your health, Isabella?” Ava ssked and I sighed.
“Ava, just let her be,” Amelia muttered at her, while we walked at the roadside.
“I don’t know, but I’m going to tell him I was with you guys today,” I said and Ava didn’t seem to like that idea.
“You should tell him, please. Maybe then he can,” I interrupted.
“Taxi,” I hailed one, and it immediately stopped in front of us.
“Are you leaving?” Amelia looked sad.
“Isabella please hear me out,” Ava rushed her words.
“I’ll see you guys later,” I smiled and waved at them, while the taxi driver drove off to the destination I told him.
After a few minutes, I arrived home and walked into the house.
“Muffin,” Tristan rushed towards me worriedly and I hated that I made him worried.
“You made me so worried,” he started.
“You didn’t even state your whereabouts and you didn’t let me drop you off either,” He said.
“I’m so sorry,” I told him and held his hands while he sighed.
“I was worth the girls,” I told him calmly, rubbing his hands.
“Yeah, I know,” He responded and locked his fingers with mine.
“What?” I gave him a confused look, wondering how he knew that.
“Yeah, I just got off the phone with Amelia, she said you guys were together because she had an emergency,” He explained to me, and I was thankful to Amelia.
“I hope all is settled with her?” He asked.
“Yes, everything is fine now,” I smiled at him.
“But please muffin, don’t leave like that again, let me know, or let me drop you off at least,” He said and I nodded my head.
“It won’t happen again, I promise,” I said with a smile while he looked relieved and kissed my forehead.

We didn’t go to work and just spent the rest of the day together. It was night time and we were in the living room watching a movie, while I was deep in my thoughts. The whole incident from today played out in my head and it made me worried as I stared at Tristan. I looked at him sadly, if I was going to die soon I’d want to spend the time I had left with him, doing fun things and just creating happy memories, I sighed when a thought hit my head, causing me to smile.
“Tristan,” I called out.
“Yes muffin,” he responded and took his eyes away from the TV screen.
“We didn’t have our honeymoon,” I said immediately and he looked at him surprised.
“What! All of a sudden honeymoon?” He looked at me suspiciously.
“What’s going on muffin?” He asked and kissed the back of my hands.
“Nothing, but i think I want a honeymoon,” I told him.
“Just like that? You suddenly what a honeymoon out of the blue,” He stated.
“It’s not out of the blue,” I defended and he smiled.
“I didn’t have one, or was it because I wasn’t Lily?” I blurted out, and I noticed how his fave went dark for a moment.
“Muffin,” He said in a deep voice.
“What?” I folded my hands and made a sad face at him.
“If it’s not that, then let’s go on a honeymoon like we should have,” I told him and he chuckled.
“God, you’re so cute,” He blurted out staring at me, but I still kept on with the face.
“Fine, I’ll arrange for our honeymoon,” He said and immediately I moved my kegs and day in his thighs, kissing him all over his face while he laughed.
“Thank you, love” I smiled at him, but he looked frozen for a moment. And almost immediately, he placed his hands on my butt and pulled me to himself leaning in for a kiss.
“What did you just say?” His voice was raspy.
“You called me sweetheart, first,” I told him, as my fave got heated.
“Sweetheart, huh?” He said and kissed my lips, while I reciprocated passionately.
“Love,” He blurted out, as he pulled away from the kiss, causing me to blush.
“So when are we leaving?” I asked him, still sitting on his lap, with my hands on his shoulders, while he’s wad still on my butt.
“When do you want us to leave?” He responded with a question.
“Tomorrow,” I said immediately.
“Whoa, muffin,” he laughed, shocked by my reply.
“What?” I folded my hands staring still him.
“You can’t make it happen?” I furrowed my eyes at him.
“Consider it done,” He said proudly, and immediately I hugged him whispering “thank you” Into his ears.
“I’ll do anything for you muffin, anything,” he breathed out into my ears, while I shivered and blushed hearing what he said.
