We arrived home at around 11 am, it was thanks to me that we got here late. The supposed ten minutes of rest turned into an hour of sleep for me.
Tristan had got up after ten minutes, and just left me on the bed. He helped my mom with making breakfast, and left my breakfast for me in the room, before leaving to work with my dad and Gerald at his garage. When I woke up, I ate breakfast before going to bathe and brush my teeth. I got dressed and helped him pack the rest of our items. By the time he returned with Dad, I was completely ready and we said our Goodbyes to my parents before leaving.
Right now, we are home and the maids are taking our things upstairs I walked up to Tristan with a smile on my face, and he looked at me with a smile too.
“Did you enjoy your planned trip,” I wrapped my hands around his neck, and he held my waist with his hands causing me to shiver.
“Yes I did,” He smiled while I chuckled at him.
“Good. Thank you for being a wonderful boyfriend,” I told him and kissed him on the lips before scurrying away to the stairs.
“Muffin,” I turned around from the stairs and stared at his face smoking. He rubbed his thumb on his lips and raised his head to stare at me while I chuckled enjoying his reaction, before going into my room.
I say on my bed, still smiling when my phone beeped, revealing its reminder to go to the hospital. I have been putting it away since last week. I sighed knowing it was important I go, before grabbing my purse. I left the room and went downstairs, where Tristan was on a call, His face seemed serious so I didn’t want to disturb him.
“See you later,” I whispered to him and kissed his cheeks about to walk away from him when he held my hands and pulled me back.
“Where to?” He mouthed, due to his call.
“Don’t worry,” I said like it was a response to his question. I smiled at him, hoping that would be the end of his interrogation.
“Let me drop you off,” He was still holding onto me, while he said in my ears, and his other hand holding onto his phone.
“Bye love,” I walked away immediately and said to him before leaving the house. I walked outside the gate and immediately entered the Uber which I had ordered for.
I arrived at the hospital and immediately went to the nurse who stood at the counter.
“Hi, I’m here to see Doctor Eddie,” I said she tapped on the keyboard confirming my appointment.
“Okay, he will be with you shortly,” she smiled at me, and I nodded about to go sit and wait, when he called me back.
“Miss, your bills are,” Before she completed her statement, I grabbed onto my purse and stopped her.
“I have it here,” I smiled.
“Can I please pay in cash as that is what I have,” She looked skeptical. I had withdrawn the cash on my way to the hospital to pay for my bills. I didn’t want to leave the receipt behind or have Tristan finding out about this.
“Please,” I added and she sighed before agreeing to it.
“Thank you,” I was grateful and immediately gave it to her. She counted it and confirmed with a light nod before I returned to my seat waiting.
“Miss Colin,” She called out to my babe a few minutes later.
“Yes,” I responded and stood on my feet.
“Doctor Eddie will see you now,” I nodded and walked to his office immediately.
“Miss Colin,” He smiled at me, and I immediately sat in front of him.
“Hope you’re doing good?” He asked and I nodded.
“Okay, let’s go,” He said and stood up, while I followed behind him.
Today we were going to do a scan and know his much of it has spread. After that, I was going to discuss with Doctor Eddie what’s my way forward. After the scan, we were back at his office, I looked at him and chuckled. His face says it all about how things went at the scan, I had seen that face enough times to know what it meant.
“Miss Colin,” He called out sadly.
“It’s bad, right?” I laughed and he looked at me worriedly.
“You need to consider surgery before your survival rate gets low, ” He stated, but it didn’t make me bulge at all.
“Nope, my decision remains the same,” I told him. I didn’t know if I wanted to die, or if I was just insane or stubborn. But I knew I was tired. I was tired from how much concentration I had put in trying to make a living that I didn’t live even a little, tired of trying to be recognized or seen, and right now I was tired of being told that I had to fight for my life. I didn’t have the strength to do it, and maybe this was the rest I needed, maybe death was my way out, so why fight it? I chuckled at my thoughts.
“I’ll be here for my next appointment,” I stood up to leave.
“You have a month left to decide,” He stated, but I walked out of his office and closed the door.
I sighed walking away from the hospital when I heard someone call my name. I lifted my head and searched until my eyes landed on the person.
“Ava,” I called out shocked to see her here.
“Amelia,” I called out surprised as well, when the both of them engulfed me in a hug.
“We told you we would go with you, why did you go without us?” Ava cried on my shoulder as she said that, while I chuckled as tears brimmed from my eyes.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered as more tears poured down my eyes.
“We are so sorry for coming late,” Ava added still pouring out.
“We are here now,” Amelia said trying to hold in her tears.
“Yeah, we are here for you,” Ava added and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I was alone. I wasn’t alone.
