“Mr. Tristan,” The look on his face was expressionless as he got close to me. He had drained his face of every good I presumed I had seen in him as he bent over to stare at me with a smirk while I looked around confused at what was happening right now, as the masked man slowly went off.
“What’s going on?” I asked in a scared tone. Right now I couldn’t tell if the seeing of a familiar face was either a good thing or just more of this nightmare I found myself in.
“Was that how Lily felt?” He cackled staring at me and waiting for a response.
“Excuse me?” My tone was bold when I gave him an irritated look.
“Let me repeat myself one more time,” He moved closer to my face, smirking.
“Was this how you made Lily feel when you got her kidnapped?” He repeated.
“You’ve got time to be kidding me,” I scoffed.
“What sicko game are you playing Mr.! Tristan?” I said with a glare at him.
“Sick game?” He pauses. “This isn’t a game dear,” He added with a satisfactory look.
“Then what is it?” I asked…
“Your new reality, welcome to your nightmare,” he said dreadfully rising on his feet and I shook my head chuckling at myself.
“I guess all of this stress was to scare me because of your supposed wife Lily,” I said slowly getting on my feet while he looked at me, unshaken by my words.
“But let me remind you, in case you forgot,” I poked his chest giving him a serious look.
“I’m your wife, the only woman, and Lily she’s gone,” I laughed, happy at how his face looked when I said that so coldly.
Oh, I had regretted trusting him and breaking away from my plan just because he smiled, or because he pretended to want to be friends in other to play this sick game. To scare me like that, all for what? Lily? Is he happy? I scoffed at the thought.
If Mr. Tristan thinks he can be happy, after giving me one hell of a stressful life, then I must remind him that will never happen as long as I am here, I thought it satisfactory.
“You better spill the beans about Lily or I’ll get you arrested, make your life dreadful?” He threatened and for a moment I wavered.
“And like I’ve always said. I do not know where Lily Allen is,” I said firmly.
“And since we are talking about dreadful? I’ll make your life a living hell,” I said like a promise.
“Is it a threat?” He asked infuriated.
“You ramble first. We are just going to even,” I gave a sky smile.
“We’re you sent? Do you want money? The company? What is it?” He yelled at me, but I gave him an irritated look, grabbed my purse, and turned around walking away from him and leaving the so-called date which had only been a trap for myself…
I hailed a cab as my thoughts jungle around the whole place. I wondered how much he knew. I wondered what he had found out, and thought about maybe his grandfather told him, but we had a deal. We had an agreement but right now I didn’t know how long Lily could be hidden before she could be found and this made me worry.
The drive home was fast which I was grateful for. When I got to the mansion, I ignored their greetings and walked straight to the bathtub thankfully my bath was set already.
“Mr. Tristan,” I said and busted out laughing.
“God! That man was a jerk,” I thought and chuckled.
“All this while, he was pretending and I was a lawn in his game? I kept my guard down and was completely used and made a fool out of myself by him,” I hissed and closed my eyes trying to take in the warm water into my skin and probably enjoy this bath because it felt good.
I had a long satisfactory bath and got dressed in my nightie, grabbing a book while I sat on the sofa trying to read when I heard a thud followed by the yelling of my name.
“Great, Mr. Devil has returned,” I placed a fancy bookmark on the page I had stopped before closing it. I stood on my feet and walked to my door, opening it.
“What is it now,” I said tirelessly as he walked into my room.
“Where is Lily?” He screamed at me. And I rubbed my forehead trying to contain my anger.
“Provide her location, or I’ll arrest you right now?” He said calmly, but hell he meant every word he had breathed out.
“On what grounds?” I said and gave him a questioning look.
“And why would you arrest me for being married to you?” I eyed him and went back to my reading.
“Now enough with this confrontation, and just let me get back to my reading, please,” I didn’t take the book away from my face but rather just hoped there would be some peace.
“Isabella Colin,” He called my name through gritted teeth, took the book away from my face and now looked at him in surprise.
“Did you just?” I said bewildered..
“Damn, I heard that right?” I chuckled amazed.
“Yeah, that’s right? But not true,” I smiled and stood on my feet walking up to him.
“It’s not Isabella Colin, ” I paused and poked his chest.
“It is now Isabella Dominic,” I smiled.
“Wife of Tristan Dominic, your wife,” I poked harder and he gave me a scoff.
“My wife,” he said quietly.
“Yes, and it would be better for both of us if you stuck that into your head,” I folded my hands.
“Because I’m going nowhere, and whether you agree to it or not, you married me, so you are stuck with me,” I smiled at him, satisfied with the look on his face as I went back to the sofa.
“You had better start making leave with that, dear husband,” I winked at him, satisfactorily, grabbing my book.
