Casually, Lucas gathered the three billion in chips and placed them in a case under the table, collecting them while the three bosses remained in shock. Once he had everything, Lucas stood up and walked toward the exchange booth. The three bosses watched him go, but suddenly the first boss shouted, remembering something, “Wait a minute!” he yelled. “Didn’t you say the booth emptied your card? How did you still have money to play?” he asked, frowning in confusion.
Lucas stopped walking but didn’t turn around. He reached into his pocket and pulled out two bank cards, nodding, “They did empty the card, but I never said I only had one.” Then he continued walking. The first boss realized they had been tricked and grew angry.
As Lucas approached the exchange booth, the bosses noticed someone familiar walking toward Lucas. “Isn’t that Tyrone?” the second boss pointed out, squinting to get a better look. The others turned to see and quickly recognized him too.
“They seem close,” the first boss noted, watching Lucas greet Tyrone with a respectful nod.
“Looks like Lucas is just a pawn for Tyrone,” the second boss said angrily, clenching his fists. Tyrone glanced back at them and gave a knowing smile, clearly enjoying their frustration.
The three bosses huddled together, their expressions a mix of disbelief and frustration as they realized they had been outsmarted.
“I can’t believe we fell for that,” the first boss grumbled, shaking his head. “We thought we had him cornered.”
“Yeah, we were so sure he was just some naive player,” the second boss added, his voice tinged with irritation. “But he was working for Tyrone all along.”
The third boss clenched his fists, trying to keep his composure. “We underestimated them. We thought we were the ones in control, but they were the ones pulling the strings all along.”
As they whispered among themselves, the spectators nearby exchanged their own hushed conversations, glancing at the bosses with a mix of amusement and awe.
“Looks like the bosses finally met their match,” one person murmured, a hint of satisfaction in their voice.
“Yeah, they thought they were invincible, but Mr. Lucio showed them otherwise,” another replied, nodding in agreement.
“Did you see their faces when they realized they lost?” someone else chimed in, barely containing their laughter. “Priceless!”
“They won’t live this down anytime soon,” another spectator added, shaking their head with a smirk.
Meanwhile, the bosses continued their conversation, trying to make sense of what had happened. “We can’t let this slide,” the first boss said, his tone filled with determination.
“Absolutely,” the second boss replied. “We need to get back at Tyrone for this humiliation and losses.”
The third boss nodded, a steely resolve in his eyes. “Let’s challenge him on his own turf. We’ll go to his casino and turn the tables.”
Despite their frustration, they knew they had to regroup and devise a new strategy, determined to restore their reputation and seek revenge against Tyrone.
As Lucas reached the exchange booth, he transferred the entire four billion to Tyrone’s bank card. Despite the casino’s loss, the bosses couldn’t act rashly due to their reputation, and Tyrone was also a well-known figure. They had no choice but to think of another plan.
Outside the casino, Tyrone and Lucas walked out, chatting happily. Tyrone laughed heartily as he recounted what he saw. “You should’ve seen their faces, Lucio!” Tyrone chuckled. “The first boss looked like he’d swallowed a lemon, all scrunched up and sour. The second boss was just gaping like a fish out of water, and the third boss, oh man, he was so red I thought he might explode!” Tyrone laughed, mimicking their expressions in an exaggerated and hilarious way, making Lucas laugh along with him.
Tyrone and Lucas walked back to the car. They drove back to the Golden Mirage. Upon arriving, before getting out of the car, Tyrone turned to Lucas with a satisfied grin. “You did great tonight, Lucio. Here, take this,” he said, handing over a bank card. “There’s a billion on it-consider it your fee for the evening.”
Lucas accepted the card with a nod of gratitude. “Thank you, Boss! I appreciate it.”
Tyrone chuckled, “You earned it. Let’s do this again sometime.”
“Thank you, Boss. Always ready for the next one,” Lucas responded before getting out of the car.
Afterward, Lucas headed to his car parked nearby. As he drove away, he removed his disguise – a fake mole and a fake mustache – before heading to their secret base.
A few minutes later, Lucas arrived at the base. The gate was opened for him respectfully, and he was greeted by Lion and Tiger. “Good evening, boss!” Both greeted.
“Good evening,” Lucas replied with a nod. “I need to speak with everyone briefly. I have to get back to my wife so she doesn’t worry.”
Lucas entered the villa where all the family members had gathered. He raised the bank card given by Tyrone and announced, “Let’s celebrate! Eat and drink to your heart’s content.” He congratulated them on the successful mission, and he called forward those who led the mission-Julyan, Diego, and the Iron Wolves, Marco and Carlo-to thank them.
“Thank you, boss,” Julyan said respectfully. “We wouldn’t have succeeded without your guidance.”
Lucas nodded and handed the bank card to Lion. “Let everyone buy what they want. There’s a billion on this card; they can spend it all if they wish. The group can take a month off. If they want to go on vacation, they should.”
Cheers erupted from the Mafia, and the villa was filled with toasts and laughter. After a few more formalities, Lucas left and headed to the villa of the wealthiest man in Italy to see his wife. Victoria saw Lucas’s car and immediately came out to greet him.
“You didn’t have to come out to meet me,” Lucas said as he stepped out of the car.
“I missed you,” Victoria replied, hugging him tightly.
Lucas smiled and nodded before entering the villa. Casually, he mentioned, “I’ve been busy with the company because of some new major projects,” as he spoke with his in-laws at the dining table, enjoying their meal.
“I’m even more proud of you,” Victoria said, understanding her husband’s commitments.

…
The next day, on the other side, at the Costa villa, they learned about the incident at Dragon’s Gate Trading Company. The Don was furious and immediately ordered an investigation.
“Don, I have a report,” one of the men said. “Some of our people were caught by the authorities at the safe house. Only drugs were left behind; the papers and important items are gone. Xander and his crew are also missing.”
Mr. Long’s real name is Xander Costa. Mr. Long is just an alias.
“The real David Hawk showed up,” the man continued. “It’s suspected that the David Hawk who worked with Xander was a spy or an operative from a major group.”
The Don was furious upon hearing the news. “We’ve lost a money chain, even if it wasn’t that significant,” he said, his voice filled with anger.
However, it wasn’t the money that angered him; it was the involvement of their high-profile partners. These influential figures were unaware that Dragon’s Gate was part of the Costa Familia. The Don feared that these powerful individuals might target the company, and their connection could be exposed if other hidden activities within the company were discovered.
Moreover, the fact that some people had the audacity to make such bold moves right under his nose added to his frustration. He immediately commanded, “Conduct a thorough investigation right away. Find everyone involved and get to the bottom of Xander’s disappearance.”
