At LA Grand Casino, nestled within Italy, Lucas and Tyrone made their way to the third floor, home to the exclusive VIP Lounge. This area was a haven for high-stakes gaming, featuring a variety of games such as Baccarat, Dice, Poker, Hi-Lo, and more. The distinguishing factor of this lounge was its minimum bet requirement-no game started below $50, 000.
The LA Grand Casino, the largest in the area, was a major rival to The Golden Mirage. Tyrone’s goal was to annoy the three bosses who ran this grand place.
As they entered, Tyrone pointed towards a table where three large men were engrossed in a game of dice. “You need to beat those three players,” he instructed Lucas, nodding towards the men who were clearly enjoying their game.
Lucas glanced over at the table, then nodded confidently. “Alright, but I’ll need two bank cards,” he said, turning to Tyrone.
Tyrone raised an eyebrow, curious about Lucas’s request. “What are you planning to do with the cards?” he asked.
Lucas flashed a mysterious smile. “To start the act,” he replied, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Intrigued and pleased, Tyrone handed over two cards-a silver card and a black gold card. Lucas took the cards, saying, “Wait and watch a great show,” as he pocketed the black gold card and approached the three bosses.
As Lucas neared the table where the trio played dice, he pretended to be an interested spectator. After a few rounds, he spoke up, feigning curiosity. “This looks easy,” he remarked, sounding eager to try.
One of the bosses noticed Lucas’s attire-a sleek, black Armani suit-and smirked, recognizing the signs of wealth. He glanced at the other two bosses, and they all nodded in agreement, as if they had reached a silent understanding.
The boss stood up and asked Lucas if he wanted to play. Lucas hesitated before replying, “I’d like to, but I don’t know how to start. I’m new to casinos and saw you having fun.”
The boss laughed, explaining, “Dice is simple. Each player rolls three dice in a cup and places it upside down on the table. The player with the highest total wins.”
Lucas nodded eagerly. “Is it that simple? Great, I want to play. Where do I exchange money?” he asked again.
The boss, thinking they had found an easy target, pointed to a booth. “See the token exchange? Go there and exchange as much as you want.”
Lucas thanked him and headed to the booth. As Lucas thanked the boss and made his way to the booth, the boss turned to his companions with a sly grin.
“Did you see that suit? This one’s got money,” the first boss remarked, nodding towards Lucas.
The second boss chuckled, “He looks like he just walked into the lion’s den without a clue.”
“Easy pickings,” the third boss added, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. “Like a lamb wandering into a pack of hyenas.”
They all shared a knowing look, ready to take advantage of what they perceived as an easy target.
After a short while, Lucas returned, looking a bit sheepish. The three bosses noticed the large stack of chips he was carrying.
“That’s a lot of chips you exchanged,” one boss commented.
Lucas scratched his head, “I told the booth to exchange for chips, but I didn’t expect them to empty my card.”
“How much was on your card?” another boss asked, curious.
“Uh… $500, 000,” Lucas replied. “They took everything from my card, and I felt too embarrassed to ask for it back.”
The first boss laughed and patted Lucas on the back. “No worries, have a seat. Let’s start the game.” He gestured for Lucas to sit down.
Lucas sat down politely and thanked them, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” the boss replied, feigning friendliness, before taking his seat. He clapped his hands, and someone brought over three dice and a cup for Lucas. Lucas accepted them with a polite nod of thanks.
The boss chuckled and announced the start of the game. In the first round, they all placed the minimum bet of $50, 000. Lucas felt both excited and nervous, while the three bosses showed eager anticipation.
They shook their dice and placed them on the table. The results were revealed.
The first boss rolled a five, a three, and a two. The second boss had the highest with two sixes and a four. The third boss rolled a four, a four, and a two. Lucas ended up with two threes and a one, scratching his head in defeat.
The first boss consoled him, “It’s just the first round. You’ll bounce back.”
Lucas nodded, taking a deep breath. “Let’s raise the bet to $75, 000 for the next round,” he suggested, though he was visibly nervous. The bosses noticed his reaction and grin.
The first boss looked at Lucas with a feigned of concern. “Are you sure you want to continue?” he asked.
Lucas paused for a moment, appearing uncertain. He then nodded and replied with a small smile, “Yes, I’m sure.”
The third boss chimed in, feigning worry, “You know, it’s okay to take a break if you need to.”
Lucas, now more resolute, nodded again and spoke in a firm tone, “No, I’m good. Let’s keep going.”
The three bosses exchanged glances, then nodded in agreement. “Since you’ve made your decision, let’s proceed,” the first boss said.
They all placed $75, 000 worth of chips on the betting side, preparing to start the second round. They shook their dice and placed them on the table. The results were revealed.
The first boss rolled a six, a five, and a three. The second boss rolled a five, a five, and a two. The third boss had the lowest with a three, a two, and a one. Lucas ended up with a two, a two, and a one.
Lucas exclaimed, “Ah, I lost again!” feeling a bit disheartened and anxious.
The first boss sighed before trying to console Lucas, “It’s okay, you’re not the only one who lost. We’re in the same boat, don’t worry, we’ll get back at these two.”
Lucas took a deep breath and nodded, “Alright, in that case, let’s raise the bet again.”
The three bosses exchanged secretive grins. ‘This guy is such a fool, losing and still wanting to raise the stakes,’ thought the second boss.
‘Easy money with someone this naive,’ mused the third boss. The first boss smirked.
‘I thought he was just a fool, but he’s even more foolish than I imagined,’ the first boss thought, glancing at Lucas.
“Hmmm…” The first boss placed his hand on his chin, “What amount are you thinking for the bet?” he asked.
Lucas hesitated for a moment before suggesting, “$100, 000, is that okay?” he asked uncertainly.
The three bosses paused briefly before the third boss clapped his hands, “Great, great… This is the kind of opponent I enjoy playing against,” he said.
The first and second bosses grinned and nodded in agreement. The crowd around them grew, watching Lucas as a sheep being toyed with by three wolves.
‘Poor guy, it’s clear he’s new here and doesn’t know who these three are,’ thought one spectator.
‘They’ve found another victim to feast on,’ thought another, glancing at Lucas.
Some sighed in sympathy for Lucas, seeing him as naive and falling into the hands of the hustlers he was up against.
“Alright, game!” Lucas said in a determined tone to start the third round.
The three bosses smiled as they shook their cups and slammed them onto the table. As they all revealed their dice simultaneously, the spectators were left in stunned silence at what unfolded next.
