Vivian smiled calmly, “Yes, it’s me. I own this jewelry shop, and I was just here to see how things are running.”
The sales lady looked at the manager before approaching and whispered in a soft voice to confirm because she noticed their Manager’s unusual reaction, “Who is she?”
“She is the wife of the richest man in Italy, Miss Vivian, and beside her is Victoria also known as V, an international prodigy jewelry designer. I have seen V once on the internet when she was introduced by Mr. Xavier as his heiress and daughter, I never thought she would be even more beautiful in person,” the Manager responded.
The sales lady’s face turned ashen as she realized her mistake. “I… I’m so sorry, ma’am. I didn’t know…”
Vivian waved her hand dismissively. “It’s alright. Just remember to treat all customers with respect, regardless of how they look.”
Victoria, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. “Mom, can I still try on the bracelet?”
The manager quickly retrieved the jade bracelet and handed it to Victoria with a trembling hand. “Of course, Miss Victoria. Please, take your time.”
As Victoria tried on the bracelet, it fit perfectly, and she smiled at her mother. “It’s beautiful, Mom. Thank you.”
Vivian nodded, satisfied. “We’ll take it,” she said, turning to the manager. “And please ensure that your staff receives proper training on customer service.”
The manager nodded vigorously, “Absolutely, Mrs. Vivian. I’ll take care of it right away.”
As they left the store, Vivian and Victoria couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. “Well, that was an interesting shopping trip,” Victoria remarked.
Vivian chuckled, “Indeed it was. But it was a good reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect.”
At that moment, Victoria’s phone rang and she saw that it was a call from Lucas. “Mom, I’ll just take the call,” she said before answering the phone.
“Where are you?” Lucas immediately asked after the call connected.
“Mom and I just went out to the Jewelry Shop, why?” she asked, confused.
“Send me the address, I’ll come to you right away, I’ll join you now to go home,” Lucas replied.
Victoria smiled, “Have you sorted everything out in the company?” she asked, hinting that Lucas should prioritize work, but she couldn’t deny her excitement at the thought of Lucas wanting to join them.
“Well… there are just a few minor issues left, I want to rest first, I’ve been at the company for a week now, I miss you,” Lucas said, which delighted Victoria.
Victoria’s smile was sweet, her joy unable to be hidden. “I miss you too. Okay, I’ll send you our location, go here, take your time, we’ll wait for you here.”
“Okay, I love you,” Lucas said sweetly.
“Alright, I love you too,” Victoria replied before ending the call.
As Victoria turned around, she saw Vivian wearing a quirky smile while looking at her. Vivian’s face blushed, unable to contain the happiness and excitement she was feeling.
“You seem happy, what did Lucas say?” Vivian asked.
Victoria bit her lip playfully, “Lucas said he wants to rest first and that he’ll come home with us now,” Victoria replied, feeling giddy.
“Oh, it looks like I’ll have to prepare some chicken soup for your night later,” Vivian teased Victoria.
Victoria’s cheeks flushed, “Mom… Don’t too strong, my back might hurt again,” Victoria said with a smile before laughing.
Vivian laughed after hearing her daughter’s words.
It had been over a week since Lucas went to the villa of the wealthiest man in Italy. He had told Victoria that he suddenly needed to handle many things in the company due to unexpected changes that had occurred, so he couldn’t go to the villa of Victoria’s parents yet because he needed to stay in the company to work, even in his villa. Victoria didn’t ask many questions and understood Lucas’s situation.
Soon after, Victoria saw Lucas running towards them; she couldn’t wait any longer as she was eager, so she met Lucas halfway, and when they met, Victoria jumped into Lucas’s arms and kissed him on the lips. Their longing for each other was undeniable.
Vivian smiled beside them as she watched the two lovebirds kissing. “How are you and the company?” Victoria asked, worried that Lucas might be neglecting himself.
Lucas smiled, “Many international businessmen have come into the country to collaborate with the Luca Group… Your identification as ‘V’ and the heir to the wealthiest man in Italy had a significant impact on the company.”
Victoria, still embracing Lucas, said, “So it’s my fault then. I’m sorry if I caused this scene in your company.”
“Silly girl, thanks to you, the company has reached new heights… We’re now considering expanding the business to other countries, not just Italy, as the company is a global enterprise, so it’s adaptable to any field,” Lucas replied cheerfully.
“I’m sorry if I haven’t been able to help you in the company,” Victoria apologized.
Lucas shook his head, “You don’t need to apologize. It’s better for you to be with your family for now… You’ve been away from them for years, so it’s fine to be with them first. Don’t worry about me; the company is just facing minor issues.”
“Thank you, dear,” Victoria said softly before kissing Lucas.
“Let’s go, Mom’s waiting,” Lucas said before taking Victoria’s hand and heading towards Vivian.
The two walked towards Vivian. “Oh, I thought you wouldn’t let go of each other. You two continue this at home,” Vivian said with a smile. “Wait, accompany me to the grocery store first. I need to buy ingredients for dinner because Lucas will be coming home with us, and I need to make chicken soup for both of you.”
Lucas and Victoria looked at each other, understanding what Vivian meant. Victoria held onto Lucas’s arm tighter but didn’t say anything.
“Let’s go, the car is over there,” Vivian said, heading to the parking lot and getting into her car. “Let’s go, we have plenty of time for shopping.” She waved at the two as a signal for them to quickly get into the car.
The two immediately got into the car and headed to buy meat and vegetables. Vivian also bought secret ingredients for her chicken soup for the married couple.
After a few hours of shopping, Vivian finished her purchases, and Lucas’s hands were full with Vivian’s shopping. Victoria awkwardly smiled at Lucas, “Can you handle this?”
“It’s no big deal,” Lucas replied.
“I’m done shopping. Looks like you both are excited to go home, can’t wait anymore?” Vivian teased.
“Mom!” Victoria replied shyly, blushing.
Vivian smiled teasingly, “Let’s go home now.” She then drove the car towards the villa.
Upon arriving at the villa, they were greeted by Xavier, who didn’t expect Lucas to come home today. “Oh Lucas, how did things go at the company? Do you need my help?”
“No, dad, the major issues in the company have been resolved, and Lorenzo can handle the minor ones that happened. I can take a few days off to be with Victoria,” Lucas replied.
Xavier laughed, “Great, make sure you do well so I can hold my future grandchild’s hand,” he said, looking at Victoria. “Victoria, go rest there, take a shower, and freshen up. Your husband is here; I can’t wait to see my future grandchild.”
“Dadddd!” Victoria exclaimed, embarrassed.
Xavier laughed at Victoria’s reaction, “Okay, you two go inside and freshen up first. You’ll be called when dinner is ready.”
“Okay, dad, let’s go upstairs to change,” Lucas said before heading upstairs with Victoria.
Xavier and Vivian looked at each other and crossed their arms. “These kids, I told them to rest, but it seems they can’t wait,” Xavier said with a smile.
“Your eyes used to look exactly like Lucas’ in my younger days… Fiery, always wanting to score,” Vivian said.
Xavier glanced at Vivian with a longing expression, “What do you mean ‘when you were young’? I still want to throw you on the bed even now,” he said before playfully jumping towards Vivian.
