“Boss, can we trust Vladimir?” Lorenzo asked.
Lucas tapping his fingers on the table while sitting at the chairman’s table, “We’ll know when there’s a significant event happening in the near future,” he said in a calm tone.
“The Sicilian is currently investigating the incident with the Edwin Family, and they’re still continuing their investigation. Besides that, they’re also still searching for people within our ranks whom they can influence,” Lorenzo reported.
“These people really have no intention of leaving me alone,” he smiled. “It seems Cameron did not think to ask for help from these people… Nevertheless, even if he helped by the Sicilian, only one result will be the outcome… That is, he will not have a good ending.
Ring… Ring…
Lorenzo’s phone rang, and he saw a call from one of his men. After a few moments, he finished the call and reported to Lucas, “Boss, there’s movement at the Mercado Family villa; according to our man, the Mercados are currently conducting training.”
“Wait a few days, stay alert and watchful, Vlad didn’t disappoint us. I’m sure this is preparation against another Family,” Lucas surely said, “I did not expect such an event that would hasten our previous plan.”
Yes, Boss, it seems like you will be taking justice earlier than expected.
“It might be too early to say that, Costa and Sicilian Familia have a different strength, the reach of Costa exceeds triple the number of Mercado, and we are not sure if Sicilian still has hidden cards,” Lucas reminds.
“Yes, boss.”
“Let’s put aside matters concerning the mafia for now, we have a lot of time for them. What’s the current movement in the company?”
“Boss, the company’s profits have increased by more than 60% compared to the last five months. There are also more people willing to collaborate with us due to the sudden emergence of Mistress as the international prodigy designer and daughter of Italy’s richest man. There are people from other countries who want to collaborate with us. I believe we can use this opportunity to elevate not just in Rome but also to establish connections in other countries,” Lorenzo explained.
“Organize all the good sources, give small companies with potential a chance, remember to sift through them all, it’s not about whether their company is famous or not… We will only collaborate with talented and promising companies; we don’t need a company with a big name but no benefits,” Lucas ordered.
“Sir!” Lorenzo answered and immediately left the office to carry out Lucas’s instructions.

A man walked into the grand lobby of the Luca Group, looking around at the fancy surroundings. He went up to the front desk with a confident step. “I have an appointment with Mr. Lucas, the Chairman of the Company,” he said.
The receptionist, a young woman with a keen eye, looked him over. He didn’t look like a typical businessman. He wore an unusual jacket with the name “Wordsmith Wanderer” on the back. Despite his odd appearance, she confirmed his appointment and directed him to the Chairman’s office.
Holding a thick notebook tightly, the man walked through the hallways. He finally reached the office and knocked.
“Come in,” a voice called from inside.
Opening the door, he saw Lucas, the Chairman, sitting at his desk. Lucas was a man with a strong presence and sharp eyes. The man stepped forward and introduced himself. “Good afternoon, Mr. Lucas. My name is Wordsmith Wanderer. I’m a novelist.”
Lucas raised an eyebrow, interested. “A novelist, you say? What brings you here today?”
Wordsmith Wanderer took a deep breath. “I’m working on a novel called ‘The Tyrant Son of the Mafia.’ It’s about a mafia heir who seeks revenge for past wrongs. His life is full of anger and revenge until he meets a woman who gives him a new reason to live.”
Lucas leaned back in his chair, clearly interested. “That sounds interesting. What do you need from me?”
“I was hoping to get your support to publish my novel,” Wordsmith Wanderer said, handing over his notebook. “I’ve outlined the plot and some key chapters.”
Lucas opened the notebook and started to read. The room was silent as he read the story. After a few minutes, he looked up, his eyes shining with interest. “This is very good. I think it has great potential.”
He picked up the phone and made a quick call. “Get someone from the publishing department up here right away,” he said. Within moments, a team member arrived and was told about the project.
Turning back to Wordsmith Wanderer, Lucas extended his hand. “Consider it done. We’ll help you get this novel published.”
Wordsmith Wanderer shook his hand, his eyes full of gratitude. “Thank you, Mr. Lucas. This means so much to me.”
The man left the office after their conversation with Lucas, feeling delighted. He never thought he would get help from the Luca Group.
“It’s like my life story, a woman suddenly appeared in my life. Speaking of a woman, Victoria is out shopping with her mother,” Lucas said to himself as the man left before happily sinking into his chair.
Lucas suddenly missed Victoria, so he immediately stood up from his seat and grabbed his suit before leaving the office.

Vivian and her daughter Victoria dressed in simple, inexpensive clothes to avoid drawing attention. They were on their way to a high-end jewelry store. As they entered, they began to browse through the glittering displays of necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
Vivian’s eyes were drawn to a beautiful jade bracelet. Its green hue was striking, and she thought it would look perfect on her daughter, Victoria. As she reached out to take a closer look and try it on, the sales lady eyed them suspiciously. “Can I help you?” she asked, her tone dripping with condescension.
“Yes, we’d like to see that jade bracelet, please,” Vivian requested politely.
The sales lady scoffed, “That bracelet costs six million. It’s made from a rare green stone. I doubt you can afford it.”
Vivian and Victoria exchanged a glance but remained calm. “We’d still like to see it,” Vivian insisted.
The sales lady rolled her eyes and looked them up and down, clearly judging their appearance. “I don’t think you understand. This is a very expensive piece. Maybe you should look at something more within your budget.”
Vivian’s patience was wearing thin, but she kept her composure. “I would like to try it on for my daughter,” she repeated firmly.
The sales lady continued to mock them, “People like you shouldn’t even be in a store like this. You can’t just walk in and expect to handle such valuable items.”
At this point, the commotion had attracted the attention of the store manager. He walked over to see what was happening. “Is there a problem here?” he asked.
The sales lady quickly explained, “These two are causing a scene. They want to try on a bracelet they clearly can’t afford.”
The manager turned to Vivian and Victoria, ready to dismiss them, but then his eyes widened in recognition. “Mrs. Vivian?” he stammered, his face turning pale. “I… I didn’t realize it was you.”
