Sky’s POV
“You know, it’s late to ask this of you, but is it okay if you meet my pack members?” I asked Harley seriously in the living room.
“Is it okay?” she asked back.
I raised a brow and then smiled at her.
“Of course it is. You are my mate and their Luna. They are looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you better,” I answered softly and then held her hands in mine.
“To be honest, I am very nervous and a little scared,” she whispered and then moved back on the couch and tried to pull her hands away.
I grabbed them tightly and then frowned.
“I understand, and you don’t have to be. You have me by your side, Harley. Have you forgotten?” I asked softly and then let her hands go.
She kept quiet for a few seconds, then opened her mouth to say something when I felt it.
Intruders in my pack! I quickly moved my finger to her lips and shook my head.
“Some beings or things that aren’t a part of my pack have entered my pack. I need you to stay here, and no matter what happens, do not come out,” I said seriously, and then quickly stood up and rushed out of the living room.
“Alpha, we have a situation,” Riff said through our mind link.
“I know. Gather a few warriors and meet me outside. Dad, you are to protect my mate with your life. The rest of the warriors, you know what to do: twenty of you should be at the hospital, and the rest should make sure every pup and she-wolf is under your protection. Keep them safe and hidden until I say otherwise,” I ordered through the pack’s mind link for everyone to hear and then stepped out of the pack house, where Riff and a few warriors were waiting.
He had already gathered the warriors before I could even give the order; that’s why he was such an amazing Beta.
They all looked at me with shocked expressions and then back at the intruders.
I slowly moved forward as I looked at them too in shock.
Alphas working together was mostly unheard of unless they were family or had an alliance! So how the hell were there so many Alphas?
Two of the Alphas there were strong, but they weren’t a threat to me; the female witch who stood between a Beta and a human girl was. She had a strong, powerful force surrounding her, but that too wasn’t why I was shocked. I was shocked to see the weak Alpha who stood in front of a Gamma; he looked exactly like me! How was that even possible?
Yes, the way he dressed was different, but still, he had my damn face!
“Who are you and what are you?” Riff asked loudly.
“No, Riff, that question is irrelevant. What they should know is that they have a fucking minute to get the hell out of my pack. Crawl back to whatever hole you came from before you lose your heads!” I said at the top of my voice, making sure to let them know that my wolf was present.
The Beta and Gamma quickly took a step back, while the human fell to her knees in shock.
Unlike those Alphas, I was stronger than them, and it was good that the Beta and Gamma were acknowledging it.
It was so obvious why they were in my pack. All this time, there had never been an Alpha that came close to my territory, yet here they were after Harley arrived. Seeing how she confused me with someone who looked like me meant that the bastard in front of me was the one.
“We come in peace,” the female Alpha spoke up.
“Fuck no, it’s not peace you want when you step into another Alpha’s territory without their permission,” I answered.
“You have a point, but we are here for someone,” the weak one said seriously as I chuckled softly.
“Mm, Glen, was it?” I asked as his expression turned blank.
“Are you wondering how I know your name? You see, when I met my mate, she confused me for you, and boy, was it annoying,” I said, as his expression instantly turned to anger.
“Did you just say your mate?” he asked as I smirked.
“Yes, I did. Now get the fuck out of my pack while my wolf is in check,” I warned as he laughed in a mocking way.
“I am not leaving without Harley; she is mine,” came his cold response.
“Take them all down,” I whispered with emphasis as my warriors ran ahead, shifting in mid-air to attack.
I was getting so furious with how the weak bastard sounded and spoke.
The witch quickly moved forward, walking while raising her hand. Whenever she moved her left hand, my warriors on the left side rose into the air, and whenever she dropped her hand, they fell, hitting the ground with painful whimpers.
I looked at Riff and nodded; he quickly dashed to where she was and shifted.
When he leaped, the witch raised her hands, and for the first time, I saw shock and fear on her face when her magic couldn’t work. He pushed her to the ground, putting his heavy paws on her chest, making her scream in pain.
Riff and I were resistant to magic, but not our warriors. I still didn’t know how or why; all I knew was that we were.
The intruders wasted no time shifting, and they charged at Riff.
I shifted and dashed to his side as all the warriors did the same.
I was hit in the side by claws that made me snarl and take a step back.
The two strong Alphas stood in front of me, protecting Glen, who was right behind them, while Riff was fighting off the Beta and Gamma, who were viciously trying to sink their teeth into his skin.
The witch was back on her feet, creating a barrier that was making it hard for my warriors to penetrate.
My anger and focus were on Glen because I wanted him dead. Him coming all the way here meant he was either mated to her or she had something of his that was important; either way, having him dead would be a burden taken off my pack and mate.
My fight wasn’t with them but with Glen, but if they were going to stand in my way, then there was no problem taking them both down. After all, they too were in my territory without my permission.
