Book:THE ALPHA'S REKINDLED BOND Published:2025-2-8

Pride’s POV
Sol was surprised by everything that was going on, but he still had his anger in check. Not only did I let him take over when I collided with that Beta, but he fought him without mentally preparing himself.
It was dangerous and a cruel thing to do to him, that I knew. But what I wanted was a form of revenge towards him for hurting our wife.
“We are here,” I said when we stood outside a ward.
I didn’t trust them at all, but something was clear. Firstly, they were not here for war because one who was thirsty for blood never reasoned. They reasoned with me using my weakness, and what they demanded was our mate, whom I wanted to get rid of. So why fight them when I could use them to get her away from my pack?
Also, I noticed how the Alpha and I had similar ways of planning and thinking about things. It was surprising and kind of amusing at the same time.
“What exactly is the meaning of your words?” the Alpha asked behind me.
“He had an arrogance about him that I didn’t like, while the female Alpha exuded a calmness that resonated in her voice and was evident in the grace with which she carried herself.”
“Are you two mates?” I asked curiously when I grabbed the door handle, ignoring his question.
“Worry about your own damn pack and wife,” he answered coldly.
“Ridge, why are you acting like Ja… Oh, shit, Jace? Why now?” she asked.
“Because I have a score to settle with Leah,” came his response.
I opened the door and took a step aside for them to walk in.
When they did, I too walked in. Leah gasped and quickly sat upright on the bed, then groaned low and touched her stomach, which was bandaged.
I tensed and clenched my hands when blood began to soak into her bandages. Her wound was reopened, and I felt horrible standing there doing nothing. I didn’t want her, but the mate pull was still there between us.
She looked at the Alpha, terrified, and then back at me.
“They are here for you,” I said as she shook her head.
“No,” she whispered huskily.
“My wife will stop at nothing to kill you. That wound you have now will be nothing compared to what she is planning on doing to you,” I said as the female Alpha smiled, widely surprising me. It’s as if she was enjoying seeing her in such a miserable state.
“I also don’t want you,” I said and then pulled back to let Sol take partial control.
“Then reject her,” the Alpha said with a smirk.
“No,” she whispered and tried to move, but groaned in pain again.
“It’s so hard,” Sol whispered to me silently.
“I know, but we have to do the right thing for our wife and pups,” I answered.
“What’s her full name?” I asked him.
“Leah Roberts,” came the female Alpha’s response.
“Sol, look at me,” she whispered pleadingly when our eyes closed for a second.
“Please,” she pleaded.
We opened our eyes and looked at her seriously.
We opened our eyes and looked at her seriously.
“You are my mate, my Alpha, so don’t do this,” she whispered as tears filled her eyes.
“We have a family, and our purpose to live is them,” we whispered back.
“You are my mate, not hers. You are mine! You doing this will hurt me so much and kill me!” She screamed as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“We are sorry,” we whispered, and I completely pulled back to let Sol reject her.
My bond with her wasn’t as strong as it was with him; that’s why I wanted him to suffer it.
“I won’t say crazy shit to her ever again, I promise. I will be good to the pups and work hard to make you happy as a mate, so please don’t do…”
“I, Sol Wesley, reject you, Leah Roberts, as my mate and Luna of my pack,” he said strongly and then gave me back total control, shutting himself out.
We all watched as Leah touched her head for a second and fell backward on the bed unconscious.
I felt my heart ache and a burning sensation that made me take a few steps back to lean against the wall. After a few seconds, I felt lighter, and all the care and affection I had been fighting so hard to hide disappeared.
“Are you okay?” The female Alpha asked as I smiled in relief.
I looked at Leah, and what I felt was nothing.
“I am completely fine,” I answered as the Alpha walked to her and looked at her closely.
“She’s just passed out,” he said and then leaned in and lifted her in his arms.
“I will be taking her with me if you don’t mind,” he said as my smile grew wider.
“Please do so,” I answered and then went to open the door for him.
He went out with the female Alpha while I followed behind.
We walked into the pack clinic’s passage as healers lowered their gaze in fear to show respect.
It was rare to see three Alphas together, unless it was an important event or war.
It was at times overwhelming for the lower ranks, that’s why they avoided staring freely.
When we stepped out, I found their cars parked close by. His Beta and the rest were glaring at Joan and Amara, who stood with our warriors glaring back.
“Joan, everything is okay,” I said and then smiled when Amara ran in front of me, grabbing my cheeks and looking at me as if I was on my deathbed.
“I can smell blood, did they hurt you?” She asked loudly in concern.
“Hey, it was only a scratch which has already healed,” I answered as she blinked back the tears that were threatening to fall.
“You should have called me to stand by your side! Before being an omega, I’m your wife and partner!” She exclaimed.
I pulled her into my embrace and then looked at the Alpha.
“Harvey,” he called as his Beta stepped forward.
“We are going back,” he said and then handed Leah to him.
“Okay, Alpha,” the Beta answered and then went with her into the car.
“May I know your name?” The Alpha asked, surprising me.
Amara pulled back and looked at him and then at me and nodded.
“You have already heard my human’s name so there won’t be any need to tell you his. But I am called Pride, and my Beta is called Joan, as you must have heard. This beautiful omega with me is my wife, Amara,” I answered.
“I am Ridge, and my human is called Jace. My mate who is next to me is called Lillian, and my Beta is called Harvey, while his wolf is Talic. We met in a bad circumstance, that’s why I want to apologize for the damage we may have caused,” he said and then extended his hand to me.
“If there is anything you would need help with in the future, my pack’s border will be open,” he said as I raised a brow.
“Are you asking me for an alliance?” I asked seriously as he smiled.
“No, I am just opening my pack’s border to you,” he answered as I smiled and shook his hand.
He really knew how to say something and then twist it into his own crazy way.
“If you ever need our help, know that my pack’s border will be open to you too, Ridge. It was a good little fun meet, and thank you,”I said softly and then dropped my hand.
He looked at Amara and nodded before getting into his car with Lillian, and the rest got into theirs.
As they drove away, everything felt as if it were just a dream that I had experienced.
It was as if they were never even here. The only thing that remained as total proof was the coat I was still wearing.
