101. Day one of dare

Book:Sleeping With My Step Uncle Published:2025-2-8

I turned around swiftly to see Jay walking towards me. He looked tired and excited at the same time. He sat in front of me and looked around, searching to see if Bo had followed him.
Relief some muscles in his face and he relaxed.
“You left me!” He said accusingly.
“Bo is sweet girl and she really likes you. I wanted to give the both of you some space” I said.
He snorted and picked up some fries from my plate without asking me.
He ate them quietly, then he dipped the last one in ketchup.
I watched him.
I was not going to lie, I watched him with sheer admiration. The way his features came together and stood out, it was simply eyes, nose and mouth and yet, it’s combination was breathtaking.
My mind fell to the most breath taking face I ever saw, Christian’s face. One day I joked to him that he was more good looking than me, I remember the look on his face afterwards.
A look of total confusion and when his mind finally put together my words, he laughed and told me that I was suffering from temporary blindness and that I needed some check up.
“Are you still thinking of him?” Jay asked pulling me back to consciousness.
“Huh?”
“You’ve been smiling and staring into thin air, Jenna” his tone was mildly bitter.
“Jay, I miss him, it’s not going to be easy to shake him off”
“I know and I’m… My gosh, I’m sorry. I should not rush you, take your time. I have thirteen days left”
Jay was very understanding and intelligent young man. I could see him in the future, with beautiful kids and a beautiful life, a life I wouldn’t be in.
“Jay..” I heard No say, I turned around to see her walking towards us.
“Busted” I mouthed to Jay.
“You said you were going to wait for me” she said like a disappointed kid. “I came back to the cabin and I didn’t see you”
“Bo..” Jay started, I knew that tone. He was going to turn her down. I turned to look at her, I was hurt for her. She was beautiful.
She had I only black hair, that was straight as a pin and fell over her shoulder as if were paint. As if it could stain her clothes. Her eyes were big and hazel. Her lips were small and pretty.
“Jenna and I are together” Jay said.
She blinked frantically.
“I thought the both of you were siblings” Bo said. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Jenna”
I wanted to tell her that we were technically not together but she ran off.
“I should go talk to her” Jay said standing up.
I smiled encouragingly at Huma Nd he left.
He and Bo looked good together. I was still musing over the thought of he and Bo when someone moved very quickly, at first I wasn’t interested, but then the movement became frantic. I spotted one of Christian’s men.
The man was wearing a charcoal black suit and speaking into his wrist. I froze… A thousand thoughts crossed my mind at that very moment as I watched him scan the entire cafetaria.
My heart was beating madly in my chest, I thought I was going to collapse.
“Jenna… You’ve got to see this” Jay said running towards me.
He hoisted me from my seat and pulled me to through the cafetaria door.
I turned around but I didn’t see the man any longer.
“What’s wrong?” Jay asked suddenly stopping.
“Nothing.. I thought I saw someone ”
“Simeone you hate… Someone like who?” He asked with concern.
I shook my head.
“A former acquaintance”
“Ohhh okay” he said stepping backwards.
He took off his shirt, underneath was a perfectly toned body with abs that I wanted to run my hands through.
“What are you doing?” I asked, my voice sounded husky.
Shame on me.
“I’m jumping… Look” he said pointing to the side.
There was a pool in the floor below and a few adrenaline junkies on our floor were jumping down into the pool. If they missed, they would surely die…
“Are you crazy!” I yelled hysterically.
“Calm down baby, I love the thrill” Jay said with a wide grin.
“What if you miss, you’ll die!”
“I won’t miss”
“I will not let you do this” I said, with tears at the corner of my eyes.
“I won’t miss Jenna”
I watched him walk past me, not listening to me at all. He climbed the rail and I watched in horror as he tipped his body downstairs, as if he was an expert diver getting ready to jump from fifty feets into a body of water and he kept forward.
My hands flew to my mouth and my eyes clamped shut, I could not watch, I could only listen to the sound of blood pumping through my ears.
I heard the crowd cheering, my eyes flew open I saw that Jay had made it and with the way the crows was cheering for only him, he had done it perfectly.
I fell down, unable to stop the weakness that relief brought.
Then I was filled suddenly with anger. If he had missed, what would I have done, I would feel guilty forever. I begged him not to go because I was so scared, yet he pushed my feelings aside.
“Whoop hooo!” I heard a very loud cheering, I turned to see Bo shouting at the top of her lungs for what Jay had done. She turned to me, her grin stretching wider.
“Isn’t he amazing?”
She waited for an answer.
“He is”
And he truly was, but I would have a heart attack every day if he was my boyfriend.
She ran down, supposedly, to go to him.
I made my way into the cabin and I just fell on the bed, the rage and anger had left me like a piece of vegetable.
I hardly slept last night because of the reoccurring nightmares. I felt the sweet arms of sleep snuggling me, I didn’t resist.
