CHAPTER 109.
Noah’s POV.
I still feel some type of way really. All through the flight from Shanghai, right to New York, I’ve not been settled. I should call Mira and tell her that I’m finally going to be home, but I just needed space to think out some things right now and I didn’t want hearing her voice to do some certain justice.
I knew what would happen if I heard her voice and that was what I was trying to avoid. I didn’t want that at all.
Right now, I was on my way to the house and I was excited that I would finally be able to see my kids, after such a long period of time. I missed them so much and I felt some type of way about not being in a good place with their mother, but I guess we would hash it all out when we saw each other.
I just wanted my family, but thinking back to the picture that I was presented with, the thought alone made me want to punch something but I knew that I had to be in a good space because I was going to be with my kids, finally. It’s something that I’ve been wanting and I’m finally having it now.
I can’t believe that I actually didn’t make any move to try to find some other way of bypassing the fucking police in Shanghai, as if they didn’t love money. Maybe deep down I wanted to know what happened with Mr Ali right away, but as of now that I had the full details, Natasha should better spend the rest of the time she has outside wisely.
Cause I needed to talk to my wife first and sort out my family, once I’m done with that, then I can actually think of what to do with Natasha.
I already branched at the mart earlier to get them all their favourite things that I knew they would like. I really couldn’t wait to see my kids. They were the only good thing that I could think of right now in my life.
Everything felt so fucked up that it sucks damned bad.
“My Sylvester, we are here.” I heard my driver say and I sighed.
Well here we go, I thought as I opened the door and stepped out myself, beating the driver to open the door. I’m sure the kids were not going to be expecting me too, this was a huge surprise and I couldn’t wait to see the reaction on their faces when they all saw me.
I walked down the pathway that led to the lawn of our house and rang the doorbell, instead of going in like I would normally do. That’s the whole point of the surprise.
A few seconds later, the door swung open and I was met with literally the most beautiful woman ever, my wife, with the most beautiful eyes and innocent looking face.
I got lost in her eyes for a second, I quickly scanned her whole body for any changes that was bad and it was all the same. She was looking sumptuous in the simple dress she wore and I could not help but wet my lips, that’s my woman right there a…..
And then the memories started hitting, the last twenty four hours and the emotional rollercoaster I had to surf through. I didn’t feel disgust for this woman, instead I felt anger.
“Mummy, who’s there?” I heard Mika’s voice ask from inside.
Soft footsteps padded towards the door and I couldn’t help but continue looking at Mira, she looked surprised and guilty.
At least, she knew she did something wrong.
“Daddy?” Mika asked and I looked down to the little figure beside her mother and a smile bloomed across my face.
“Daddy!” She screamed as she covered the short distance between us and flew up, with her arms in the air, I immediately dropped everything I had with me and lifted her, she knew I would always catch her.
“Hey sweetie.” I said and I held her to myself and walked into the house.
“Did I hear daddy?” Skyler’s voice came next and I was bombarded from behind.
“My babies!” I beamed, a wide smile spread across my face.
Tyler joined the pair after a while. We stayed like that and I just got to hold my kids because I missed them a whole fucking lot. They were my children, my happiness and joy. My very priority.
“Daddy, I missed you so much.” Mika whimpered and I pulled back to wipe her tears.
“Come on sweetie, I’m here now and I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.” I said and patted her back.
“Are you sure?” She asked and I nodded.
“Daddy never lies, so yes I’m sure.” I told her and she nodded.
“I brought gifts for you guys.” I told them.
“Yayyy.” They all looked so excited and I was excited that they were.
“Now, go and unbox those gifts. I need to relax and shower. Daddy came a long way here, so we will catch up later, is that cool?” I asked all of them and Mika had a pout on her face.
“No, I want to spend a lot of time with you. I have a lot of stories for you.” She said.
“Let daddy take a shower.” Skyler said and I rolled my eyes at Mika.
“Yes baby, I’ll be back.” I told her.
“I’m just going to give daddy a snippet.” She said.
“I’ll live with that.” I replied.
“Okay, so a guy asked me out in my class.” She said softly.
“What?” I replied, all shocked and surprised.
“Yes daddy, I told you I have a lot of things to talk about.” She told me, rolling her eyes and pulling her hair out of her face.
She’s so sassy.
“Okay, now I can’t wait. I’ll come to you when I’m done, okay?” I told her and she hesitantly nodded.
“Okay.” I dropped her and kissed her on the cheek.
“Open up the gifts guys, I bought you a whole bunch of new stuffs.” I told them and they all ran towards the packages.
“Mira, can I have a word with you?”
