Chapter Eight.

Book:CEO EX-HUSBAND REGRET Published:2025-2-8

Noah’s POV.
“Nonsense! You are not my brother’s wife! You are not and you will never be! And you see those three bastards you refer to as your kids?” Ken said, pointing his fucking deranged fingers at my babies.
“They do not belong to the Sylvester’s! There is no way on earth that I will allow a slut like you to be married to my brother! Not on my watch, you hear me?!” Ken raised his voice at my wife and that was it!
I lost it at that moment and could no longer stand back and watch him abuse my wife and children, at least not on my watch even if he turned out to be my damned brother!
I let out a sharp hiss, took a large step forward as I planned on throwing two or three punches to his guts then wrapping my fingers around his neck as I gave him a chilling warning capable of putting him in his place but I felt a familiar gentle hand hold onto my wrist, stopping me from moving.
I looked over my shoulder and saw Mira shake her head slightly, her eyes soft as she silently asked me not to do it.
A hard gulp ran down my throat as I dragged in harsh breaths down my lungs.
I despised it! I felt irritated and furious when anyone dared to talk to my family in such a despicable manner, and that too in front of the guests!
Reluctantly taking some steps back, Mira signaled to Jamie, who was standing frozen among the crowd of guests, gestured for her to take the kids away, and Jamie nodded curtly.
Once they finally left, Mira advanced up to Ken, stopped right before him, and he raised a curious eyebrow at her as Mira held gaze with him while she took a slow sip from her wine.
“Um_Dear… Ex-husband?” She began with a gorgeous smile on her lip.
“From what I heard you say previously, you referred to me as a slut, is that right? And that my kids are bastards, hmm?” She asked the dummy head who stared at her confusedly like he had forgotten everything he said a minute ago.
I was sure he was skeptical about what Mira had in mind as he couldn’t even read her face, pondering why she was asking him those questions.
Well, to be frank with you, I also wanted to know why she was asking the same annoying question that got me mad a few seconds ago, although I’m aware she’s cooking up something.
Something that would make him spill the beans and end up being a joke in front of every eye.
So I simply relaxed my muscles, an amusing smile playing on my lips as I silently enjoyed the scene.
I wondered how she was going to make him regret and pay for his betrayal from five years ago.
Mira chuckled. “Why do you look frightened, hun? I am just asking you a little question,” She smiled brightly at him.
“I am not frightened and Y_yes. I did. What can you do about it?” Ken stuttered slightly.
“Nothing, absolutely nothing,” Mira said as she instantly raised her hand in self-defense.
She walked around him as she continued, “But how sure are you that your brother isn’t my baby’s father? After all, we did the deed five years ago and I bore him triplets afterwards. So why is it so hard for you to accept it?” She snickered at him.
My kitten was doing such a good job at manipulating his mind just like I thought she would.
“Because it wasn’t him you ended up with five years ago! Did you forget that it was because you slept with your lover that led to our divorce? Did you forget that?!” He reprimanded.
Scoffs. Such a shameless butthole.
“No. I didn’t.” She smiled at him and poked her finger on his chest. “The stranger I ended up with was your very own brother, Ken, not any lover, ’cause I did not have a lover while I was married to you!”
“Lies! Everything you’ve ever said was lies from that mouth of yours!” Ken barked out arrogantly, his face growing dark with veins popping out.
“How do you know it’s a lie? You weren’t in the hotel, were you?” Mira asked, wearing a smug look.
“Plus, Noah’s face was not visible in the video you showed me on your phone five years ago. So how do you know that Noah can’t be the father of my triplets, Ken?” My wife demanded, and I saw Mitchelle, who was standing at the side, quickly rushing to his side.
Mitchelle tugged at his hand, almost like she anticipated that Ken would reveal the truth and blow things up. She seemed to have figured out what Mira had in mind.
“Stop, Ken. This is a trap!” She whispered. “She’s trying to trick you into spilling everything out with your mouth! Don’t listen to her, and let’s just go home,” I read Mitchelle’s lips as she kept pulling his hand.
“If you speak up then we are done! There are tycoons and the media here, so let’s just leave quietly now,” She said as she tried to drag him through the crowd, but Ken jacked his hand away from her grip.
“He can’t be their father because you were meant to have a nightstand with the pimp I paid to sleep with you five years ago in the Lorenzo’s Hotel!” He thundered.
Mitchelle broke into a cold sweat as the whole hall that had been silently curious to know the truth filled up with gasps and murmurs among themselves, but Ken remained negligent of it as he carried on spewing more truths out of rage.
He believed that I couldn’t be married to Mira and also not be the father of my babies because he knew what he did five years back but what he didn’t know was that his plans backfired.
“And Noah? Noah was away from New York on that same day, Mirabelle! Because our father sent him on a business trip. So there’s no fucking way that he would be with you that night!”
“And that’s where you went wrong, brother,” I interjected with a knowing grin.
“I was with Mirabelle that night. I was never on a business trip cause I canceled the flight secretly once I found out that you and your sneaky wife devised a plan to take away everything my wife owned by paying a male prostitute,” Their eyes bulged out of their sockets, not expecting that I would be aware.
“You did it so that you would have full-time proof of Mira cheating on you, then divorcing her won’t be an issue to you. You also made her unknowingly sign out all the properties she owned into your name,” The more words I said, the more Mitchelle sweated profusely, but Ken didn’t budge.
“Why did you do that?” I asked, my eyes piercing into his eyes but as he averted his gaze uncomfortably. “It’s because you are a self-centered greedy fox who finds it odd to live under the roof of a woman, so you resort to stealing everything from her while making her feel bad and at fault!”
Mitchelle loosened her grip on Ken’s arm, and it dawned on him that he shouldn’t have spoken up and rather, should have listened to his wife.
“Father would be very mad at you for hiding such a big secret from us, Noah. No wonder you refused to pay a visit to our home for so many years. It’s all because you made a family out of my ex-wife! I will make sure that I tell Father everything!” He threatened as if it would make me move an inch or get me scared.
