Melissa drove them straight to the nightclub.
“It’s called Great Bar, and just opened in City N. The boss, Douglas, is famous for making his places super fun. Let’s go lose ourselves a little tonight.” Melissa parked, linked arms with Lillian, and headed in.
Great Bar had a rule: ladies got in free.
Melissa and Lillian breezed through the doors, no questions asked, even though they were dressed casually.
The booming music hit them immediately. Lillian could feel her heartbeat syncing with the beat, getting her pulse racing.
Melissa went straight for a booth and snapped her fingers, actually ordering twenty young money boys to join them.
The guys, all in their twenties, lit up when they saw the two stunning women lounging at the table.
Melissa raised an eyebrow. “See? Young guys are fresh, sweet-talkers, and easy on the eyes. Let’s keep dancing and partying all night!”
Lillian was letting loose, pouring out all her recent frustrations and grudges into each drink. At this point, she’d already gotten custody of her grandma and her own documents, so as for that three hundred million debt? She’d just give Conrad the middle finger.
“Drinks! Give me the most expensive ones, now!” she yelled.
Melissa slapped George’s card on the table. “It’s on me! Drink up-I’ll help you pay back the three hundred million you owe Conrad!”
“You sure he even has that much on his card?”
“Why should I leave his money for some other woman? Better it goes to me, his soon-to-be ex-wife. More drinks!” Melissa banged on the table.
The young money boys got into the spirit, tossing off their shirts and striking ridiculous poses, hoping to catch Melissa and Lillian’s attention.
“Here, Miss, have some fruit.”
“Wow, your hands are so soft and delicate!”
As Hogan walked in, he spotted Lillian and Melissa at the booth.
“Mr. Hogan, what’s got you stopping in your tracks?” someone asked.
As if he could walk away from this show! Hogan whipped out his phone, zoomed in, and snapped high-res photos of Lillian for the group chat.
[Isn’t this our little caged bird? Drinking alone here, poor thing, looking all heartbroken.]
His buddies jumped in immediately, laughing.
He made sure to @ Conrad.
Lillian was mid-drink when she noticed Hogan standing right in front of her. He raised an eyebrow. “Lillian, buy me a drink, would you? You don’t mind, right?”
Melissa waved him off. “Who invited you? Nobody at this table’s over 26.”
Hogan scoffed, “Oh, so now it’s age discrimination!”
Then he glanced at Melissa, jaw-dropping. “Wait, aren’t you George’s wife?”
Melissa, a little drunk and slurring, raised an eyebrow. “And so what if I am? Haven’t you ever seen a wife go for younger guys?” She reached over, and stuffed a wad of cash into one of the money boys’ waistbands.
“See? All of them are cuter, more obedient, and actually know how to listen.”
“Here, have a grape.”
“Eat this one, Miss-seedless!”
Melissa looked like some ancient empress, popping a grape into her mouth and savoring it with half-closed eyes.
Hogan was stunned, and the group chat was going wild. Everyone was tagging Conrad.
[Hey, Conrad, you cool with this? Your little caged bird’s about to fly away!]
Even George was watching the drama unfold until Hogan tagged him directly.
[The caged bird’s out here paying for money boys with your card, and your wife’s eating grapes like a queen.]
The group chat exploded.
George: [Which club?]
Everyone was on the edge, ready to rush over and catch the action firsthand.
Hogan made sure the scene was intense enough and kept his phone poised, recording everything.
Melissa got up, shoved him aside, and climbed on stage. The dancers froze, watching as she grabbed a seat behind the drum kit.
“Sorry, guys,” Melissa slurred, “I’m a little tipsy. Thought I’d put on a show. Give me a hand, will you?”
Meanwhile, Lillian got up, tied her shirt up to show a sliver of her waist, and hopped on stage too.
Spontaneous performances were heard of here, but everyone was glued to them now.
Melissa hit the drums with a hard beat, and the DJ quickly matched a dance track to keep the energy alive, making sure the vibe wouldn’t fall flat.
Lillian flipped her hair, each strand moving like an enchanting vine, her slender waist swaying with a subtle yet powerful allure-sexy without being trashy, captivating without a hint of vulgarity. She had that kind of classy allure, wearing a full outfit that barely showed a hint of her waist, yet every guy in the room was losing it, mesmerized, practically wishing they could pull her down and hold her tight.
This level of flirtatious charm was something Lillian had never shown in public before.
Hogan’s throat went dry as he stared, totally stunned. He quickly shot a video and posted it in the group chat.
By then, her dance video had already spread all over social media, and people were sharing snapshots from every angle. The whole place was buzzing thanks to Lillian and Melissa’s performance.
Melissa threw down the drumsticks and ran over to join Lillian in a sultry dance, making the crowd go wild, practically shaking the roof with their screams.
But then, a tall figure suddenly leaped onto the stage, grabbed Melissa-who was about to kiss Lillian-and pulled her away.
“Hey, hey, what’s going on!”
The club security rushed over, and chaos erupted.
Lillian, oblivious to the commotion, just kept dancing.
Meanwhile, Hogan was live-streaming in the group chat, not expecting George to show up like a rocket to bust the scene.
Some people thought George was dragging Lillian off stage and figured they could try to do the same, thinking maybe they could also score a shot at this mesmerizing woman.
Hogan freaked out.
“Hey, stop those guys! Who do they think they are, touching my girl? Get their filthy hands chopped off!”
Suddenly, groups of guys clashed, and the place turned into a full-blown brawl.
Hogan, panicking that Lillian might get lost in the chaos, was about to pull her off the stage himself when the lights went dark-someone had cut the power.
Now the place was in total mayhem.
Amid all this, nobody noticed the sleek figure moving like a panther, sneaking onto the stage.
Lillian was still standing there, her head spinning and her sense of direction lost, until she felt an arm wrap around her waist, making her snap back to her senses.
“Let go of me! Let go!”
But the man hoisted her up off the stage, while his bodyguards lit the way, clearing an exit on the other side.
Dangling over his shoulder, Lillian clawed at him with her nails. “I’m going to throw up! I’m going to throw up!”
