With a look of determination in his eyes to kill me, he stopped towards me once the man was out of my sight. His determined stride and the intense look in his eyes were like a storm approaching, and I was trapped in its path. I couldn’t help but feel like prey cornered by a predator, and my heart raced as fear gripped me tightly.
Earlier, I thought I needed to get away from that man only but I forgot that I am a man who is more cruel and creepier than him.
Every step that he took toward me sent a shiver down my spine. My heart thumped louder in my chest with every step that reduced the distance between us.
I had faced his anger befor, but this time it felt different, more menacing. What was terrifying me even more was that I didn’t know where I went wrong.
I couldn’t predict his next move, and all I could get from him was the vibe of danger. Every fiber of my being was screaming at me to hide in a place where he couldn’t see me. I had seen the darkness that lurked within him, and now it was bearing down on me with an unsettling intensity.
Without uttering a single word, he grabbed my wrist, and for a fleeting second I thought that I was wrong in understanding him, he actually understood that it was not my fault but he proved me wrong by clenching my wrist with a force that sent a jolt of pain through me, yanked me forward towards the room which now I have started dreading.
As we passed desy’s room, I caught a glimpse of her standing at the doorway. There were small tears in her eyes, and it seemed like she witnessed everything, at least the anger of her brother. A silent plea for help formed in my eyes, a desperate hope that she would step in and shield me from this storm.
Ignoring her Ansell took a step ahead only for her to come in his way.
A wave of relief washed over me as I saw her the only ray of hope who could save me from this devil.
“Leave my way, Desy!!” Ansell said in a calm tone but it was threatening enough to shake me at my place.
“Calm down, Ansell” she requested him, not ready to take her steps back “Don’t get blinded by the anger. You need to understand…”
“Get away!!!” He shouted at Desy, drawing deep breaths. He was a a volcano on the edge of an eruption, and desy’s attempt to intervene only seemed to stoke the flames.
My heart practically shook in my chest, and my whole body flinched in Terri. If he could treat his own sister in such a cold and cruel way, someone for whom he had not only taken a life but also held me captive, I could only imagine the horrors he might unleash upon me today.
When she didn’t move from her place, he walked past her. It seems like some spirit has taken over him, and he is not going to stop until he doesn’t ruin me more than he already has.
His steps were quick forceful, a pace that was almost impossible for me to match. Every effort I made to break free from his grip proved futile, but he kept dragging me as if I were someone made of rubber and not a human being with blood and flesh who got hurt.
“Leave me! Let me go!” I was begging as if it was going to have any effect on him. He has been more brutal in the past, and I have almost cried my heart out in front of him, but it didn’t melt his stone heart even a bit.
It seemed as if he was ready to drag me like an object if I stopped running, without caring that my legs were getting scraped.
He forcefully pushed me into the room, causing me to stumble. My legs gave way, and really collapsed onto the floor. Just in time, the edge of the bed caught me, it’s corner digging sharply into my thighs. I turned instinctively to avoid the pain, my eyes scanning the room.
Before I could react further, I saw Ansell’s hand reach out and lock the door before turning around to face me.
“This is precisely what you wanted, right?”
His pupils were dilated, dark, and preddatoy, devoid of any hint of remorse or empathy. He took slow, calculated steps toward me, his gaze never leaving mine.
. “The attention of men” he added, his words landing like venomous darts, adding fuel to the flames burning within me.
Is he out of his mind?
The breath caught in my throat when I understood what he meant by those words. Every time I think that he cannot go lower than this, he surprised me. I never knew that he had such a narrow-minded mentally.
He had witnessed the uncomfortable situation in the dining area. He knew very well that I had done nothing to encourage that man’s behaviour; I had merely endured it in silence. Yet he is twisting the story so that he could prove his narration right.
I could feel a bubble of frustration and anger rising in me and I couldn’t stop myself from defending my character.
“How could you possibly…” I began, my voice laced with exasperation.
. “Just shut up!” His voice thundered, cutting me off before I could even finish my sentence. His authoritative bellow boomed in the air, leaving me silenced.
He didn’t want to hear the truth. He had already made up his mind and constructed his own twisted version of reality, and no amount of reasoning or explanation would sway him. He already knew it, and the fact was that he actually wanted to under it so that he could get another chance to torture me and satisfy his sadistic whishes.
Without warning, his grip tightened on my arm like a vice, and he shook me with a brutally that felt as if I were a mere rubber toy. Then, in a swift and violent motion, he backward. My body collided with the hard floor, the impact sending a jolt of pain through my limbs.
I struggled to regain my composure as I sat up, my gaze fixed on him. He was still not looking satisfied, even after humiliating and hurting me. His eyes gleaned with a sinister hunger see that chilled me to the bone. I could see the hunger in his eyes, which was to crush me under his feet.
I knew there was a lot he wanted to say so I gave him time.
“It was my mistake that I trusted you. How could I expect anything else from a rapist sister?” He made allegations.
I may listen about myself, but every time he calls my brother a rapist, my blood boils.
“Enough is enough, Ansell” I yelled my voice louder than his.
My chest heaved with the force of my words. My hands clenched into fists, nails digging into my palms as I fought to control my emotions. My eyes blazed with an intensity matching his, and my cheeks flushed with the heat of my anger.
I could no longer bear his relentless accusations and degradation. He has just lost his mind in rage and there is also a limit to tolerating his rude behaviour.
“You can’t define character every damn time by bringing up my brother’s deeds!” I yelled once more.
Even if I believe that a person has committed a crime, I do not like the way he is describing me.
“Who knows! After all, you share the same blood ” he shot back, his eyes were like fireballs shooting at me.
Neither he nor I were ready to step back. As if putting senseless allegations on my brother were not enough he started saying bad things about my bloodline as well! I felt so much anger rising in my veins that now it was almost impossible to contain myself.
“Don’t say anything you will regret later!” I warned him, my eyes burning with rage, my finger pointing at him, not moving my gaze down the way he wanted.
“That I will not do” he said, bending down and placing his right elbow on his right knee to grab my jaw, coming to my face level.
“But I will make you regret every minute of your life” he settled in between clenched teeth.
His hand moved down, and I was pretty sure he was going to trip my shirt off my body. This only what he intends from the day I have come here. The only thing I am afraid of and for which he is taking advantage. But not anymore.
Before his hand could move down any further, a surge of adrenaline coursed through me, and instinct took over. I crawled back and stood up in a flash, his eyes following my every move. He was a bit surprised by my speed and the action.
“You intend to do to me what my brother did your sister. Right?” I asked him to stay at my place, with no attempt to fly away from him.
He became confused by the change in my demeanor. He thought that he brought me here to unleash his anger, but at the moment I seem to spill out all the pent-up emotions.
His expression shifted from one of aggression to bewilderment. His pupils constructed as he saw me enraged. My rage was at its peak, and I became completely out of control.
“You believe this is the right punishment for my brother’s deed. Right?” I asked him again, and neither he nor I had moved from our spot.
“Only this could please you, and only then will you be satisfied that you have ruined me for another man, giving me trauma for the rest of my life?” The words spilled forth, a torrent of emotions and frustration that had been building up within me for far too long.
He didn’t say anything while I was bombarding him with questions.
“Ok!”
With a steadying breath, I wiped the sweat from my upper lip with the back of my palm, my heart pounding in my chest. My hand reached out to grab the hem of my T-shirt.
“Let’s do it!”
