CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE
HARLEY’S POV
It’s been two days since Catherine was locked up, and Burke has been discharged from the hospital, he is just adjusting to his new life with me and I am so loving it, I feel as if I am in a dream and I don’t want to wake up, I have been taking care of Burke, making his meals, doing his laundry I made sure those witches Catherine called children didn’t come close to him.
We were sitting in the living room catching our fun, when he said “Babe, I think I need some fresh air, let’s take a walk in the garden”.
“Oooh, okay, that’s fine by me”, I replied.
We got up and walked outside until we got to the garden. It was a really beautiful day and I loved the weather. ” Babe, you know I love you right?”, I asked.
” Yeah I know, you always have my heart at hand, I am so lucky to have you in my life, like tell me what would I have done without you”, he chuckled.
” Nothing, definitely nothing, I want to discuss something with you”,
” Okay, I’m all ears”, he said
” Daddy, daddy, what are you doing we don’t even understand you again, you threw Mommy out and now you are with this woman”, Rikky called from the other end of the garden.
They were all running towards him like they wanted to hug him but I quickly stopped them. “Yes, what do you want?”, I said.
“It’s none of your business we want to speak to our father”, Nikky replied.
“Don’t talk to me that way, I could have one of the guards chop off your tongue right now”, I warned.
“What is it, why are you all disturbing my peace, can’t you see I am having alone time with my wife”, Burke cut in
” Alone time with your wife, I don’t understand you daddy, this minute you want to tell mummy how sorry you are and the next minute you are in the arms of this woman again and this time it’s even worse you locked my mother up in the dungeon”, Nikky screamed
” Don’t speak to me that way, your mother put me in this state, and she is a whore because I don’t remember having any kids, except for the one in my wife’s belle, right darling?”, he asked me I nodded my head in affirmation, I knew I needed to get this child off the hook before they make him start searching his mind for what he is not supposed to, they are disturbing my peace, “babe they are beggars that woman in the dungeon a whore technically but she is a maid in this house and this is her children we feed daily, she told them to call you daddy because you are generous I am sure they are hungry now, tell them to go meet the maids to prepare something for them to eat, we can’t have them disturb our peace”, I whispered to him.
” Oooh okay, I get it now, go meet the maids, they will give you something to eat”, he said.
The triplets looked at me as if they were confused with what just happened to me, I just smiled, placed my hands in that of my husband, and took him away from their presence before they caused any more havoc.
I couldn’t talk to Burke about Catherine again because the kids interrupted and I didn’t want to disrupt his mind. We entered the house. We went upstairs. I helped him arrange his clothes and set the water for him to take a shower.
“Babe, you are so caring, I love you”, he said.
My heart melted immediately when I heard those words come out of his mouth. I knew immediately I had to brag to Catherine about how affectionate Burke and I have become since she left the picture.
“I love you too darling, take your bath, I want to go and run one or two errands I’ll be back in a jiffy, ” I said.
I left the room with a contagious smile on my face, it felt like I had received favor from the goddess. I went into the dungeon to brag to Catherine of course, she was seated on the ground with her head facing down.
“Aw, look who is depressed now”, I said laughing.
“It seems like you are not tired of seeing my face, what are you doing here Hayley, to kill me well I’m ready take my head off”, she said.
“Slow down tiger, I can see Ava is already rubbing off on you faster than I imagined, well as much as I would love to take your head. It would be more fun and pleasurable to make you suffer before I do that, don’t you think”? I asked.
” What do you want Hayley”,? She asked bluntly.
” Oooh, at least I forgot I came to let you know that Burke and I have been so affectionate, he touches me and we kiss, you know he is not too strong right now we would have even made love already” I laughed.
“Burke betrayed the trust I had for him, he hurt me badly”, she cried out.
“Oooh stop shedding those crocodile tears, we will continue to enjoy ourselves and if those crazy kids of yours get in the way again I am going to slice every bit of their skin and feed it to you in this dungeon for you to eat”, I warned.
” Don’t touch my kids, Hayley, don’t try it”, she yelled …
“That’s enough Hayley, it’s time you leave here you’ve overstayed your welcome, go have your fun with Burke”, Ava’s voice came from her end of the prison.
” Okay, okay I would go before these miserable prisoners feast on me”, I mocked.
I could hear Catherine cry as I left the dungeon, it filled my heart with so much joy to watch her suffer, I hurried back to the mansion and immediately opened the door Diago was right in the room, and my eyes met with that of Burke and he gave me a very deadly stare.
