CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO
CATHERINE’S POV
“What are you doing here Jaxon?” I asked, seeing Jaxon at the doorstep of my house made me angry.
I threw Jaxon out of my house. After finding out he had been having sex with Sereca since I left Chicago, Jaxon took my children to the orphanage home, saying their mother was missing.
During the weekends, he orders them to write a letter to me. I felt like a bad mother, so I was not attentive to my kids’ well-being while I was in Crescent Pack.
“I said I’m sorry, she seduced me,” I said trying to explain, but it fell on deaf ears.
I would have forgiven Jaxon in a different circumstance, but the fact that I tried to hold myself during my stay in the pack because of him made it harder for me to forgive him.
Aside from that, I just found out that Jaxon and Natasha, my best friend at the hospital, were legally married, and Jaxon got married to me because of money, he was with me because of my money.
“What about Natasha? You are married to her, and you guys have a son together,” I said, almost yelling; Jaxon kept quiet for some time before speaking up again.
“Getting married to her was a mistake; I would sign a divorce paper and get married to you,” He assured me, and I laughed at his assurance.
The fact that he came to my house to beg for my forgiveness was surprising.
When I saw Jaxon and Sereca having sex, I yelled and left the house, but Jaxon didn’t even come after me; he finished having sex with Sereca and waited for me to get back to the house.
I cried my eyes out that day before throwing Jaxon out of my house to sleep in the street.
I didn’t cry because I loved him; I cried because I respected the relationship and felt that he would never break my heart.
Not until I visited my best friend the next day to cry on her shoulder and saw her having sex with Jaxon.
“You and Natasha had been married even before you met me, was this planned or something?” I asked and he nodded in response.
“I never wanted to date you or break your heart Catherine, but life got tough when I lost my job, that was the same day we met at the hospital,” he said, but to my understanding, I was still very poor at that time, how the hell did he know I’ll own a hospital.
“How did you know I’ll make a lot of money?” I asked folding my hands beneath my breast.
” I didn’t know, I just wanted to use it to console myself, because Natasha had I were having issues and decided to give our marriage a break, during my years dating you, I found out you would be wealthy and I waited for that time,” I said, and I was awed of how smart he was.
“You proposed to me, Jaxon, you wanted to get married to me,” I said, and he laughed hard at the thought of marrying me, making me wonder what was funny; he has always wanted to get married to you.
“That was the only way to claim your money, Catherine, we were supposed to do a joint account after our marriage, and then I’d take all your money and run away with Natasha and my son, we would go to another country and start a new life,” He said, still on his Knees.
His confession made me dumbstruck; how the hell was he able to do all that without even putting much effort?
“Jaxon, you are fucking heartless; get your knees off the floor and leave my house; my kids won’t be happy to see you; remember what you did to them,” I said, but Jaxon was reluctant to get off the floor.
“Catherine, Natasha, and my son would be thrown to the street if we didn’t pay our bills, you were our only source of income, Natasha used the little she got from the hospital to help my sick mother,” He pleaded like I would suddenly feel pity got him and give him so money after all he had done to me.
“That’s not supposed to be my business, dear; you knew this when you started fucking Sereca,” I yelled; I was certain I woke my kids up.
“She seduced me, Catherine, I was seduced,” he is again, defending himself for cheating. He was very good at begging for forgiveness, but he would not be able to pull through this one because I had made up my mind not to go back to Jaxon.
“I guess Natasha seduced you too?” I asked, angrily.
“No dummy, that’s his wife, I am the whore that seduced him,” Sereca said, walking towards me
I looked ahead and saw her car parked in front of my house. I didn’t know when she would even pack her car. I was lost in the world of betrayal which Jaxon had given me.
“Why did you come to fuck my husband? I guess cheating in your marriage wasn’t enough for you,” I said rudely, and she smiled; it was a weak smile, and it was a painful smile as well.
“I’ll take the insult of being a cheat from everyone else but not you Catherine,” she retorted, looking into my eyes.
I was wondering what she was talking about; why would other people talk to her about cheating, and she would accept, but she wouldn’t accept mine? Was she calling me a cheat?
“What the fuck do you mean by that?” I asked as she kept looking at Jaxon; she smacked his ass before looking in my direction.
“Do you want Jaxon to hear it?” She asked, like it was something to hide, Sereca did not know anything about me, so I wasn’t frightened about her spilling any fucking secret.
“If you know something about me that Jaxon doesn’t know of, you can say it here,” I said. Jaxon looked at Sereca with questions in his eyes, and so did I.
“At least I knew you were fucking around with Burke,” She said and I held my mouth with my hands in surprise.
“How the fuck did she know about that?” I thought to myself.
