Killian wore a bright smile as the woman faced him. He placed his hand across his chest, and returned the bow.
“Moon priestess. Thanks for coming to my aid. I can’t phantom what could have happened if not for your sudden appearance.” He said with a sigh. He stared into the sky, his mind reeling with different thoughts.
The moon priestess noticed Killian’s expression, and joined him in staring at the hot-burning sun.
“Are you worried about the rogue wolf that just attacked you?” The moon priestess asked, while Killian flung his gaze at him. He heaved a deep sigh, and nodded.
“You are indeed the wisest on the land. It took you nothing to figure out my thoughts.” Killian replied, shifting his gaze back at the blue sky which had almost turned yellow due to the scorching sun.
“I also know that you are dead worried about Sara’s disappearance.” The moon priestess stopped, staring at Killian while she monitored all of his reactions.
The words were like a huge magnet to Killian as it drew every part of him to the moon priestess.
“Do you have any news about her?” He muttered, holding the moon priestess’ hands as he stared into her eyes. His eyeballs darted sideways as he waited impatiently for the moon priestess’ answer.
The moon priestess rolled his eyes down to her hands, drawing Killian’s attention.
He hurriedly pulled off his hand from her’s, coughing slightly as he drew his gaze away from her’s.
“I am sorry. I got a bit carried away.” Killian apologized, while the moon priestess smiled.
“It’s fine.” The moon priestess replied.
“So, about Sara? I was on my way to ask you about it before the attack by the rogue wolf.” Killian uttered to her. The moon priestess just kept on smiling, which left Killian dumbfounded. He couldn’t decipher the meaning behind her smile.
“Do you know something, honoured one?” Killian asked her, while the moon priestess sighed.
She turned to him;
“Do you believe that she truly murdered the elder?” The moon priestess asked him.
Killian’s brows were raised due to the shock the moon priestess words left on him.
“Absolutely not. I don’t believe she murdered him, there are lots of secrets to be unraveled about the murder, and I will prove her innocence very soon.” Killian replied her.
“Why then did you order for her execution?” Killian became more stunned by the moon priestess questions. He couldn’t help but wonder where she was driving at with her questions.
He had come here to ask her about the incident, but it seemed as though she is as clueless as him.
“I didn’t. I can’t remember anything that happened that night, but I know for sure that I didn’t order for her execution.” Killian muttered between bated breath. He was already panting and sweating, realizing that his only hope of finding out the truth was slowly getting bashed.
“Besides, I wanted to ask you if you know anything about the incident.” He continued.
“I asked the moon goddess about it, but she didn’t reveal the secret behind it to me, she only told me to pass you one information.” She paused, staring into Killian’s eyes, deliberately increasing the tension within him. Killian’s rapid heartbeat could be heart as his heart thudded against his chest, giving out a loud noise.
“Sara is alive, but might be in danger.” The moon priestess said after what seemed like an eternity.
Killian heaved a sigh of relief, holding his chest as he tried to calm himself down.
“Didn’t she reveal her whereabouts? I mean…a hint on where I can find her?” He asked hurriedly.
The moon priestess shook her head, slowly breaking Killian’s heart.
“No, I am afraid you will have to find that out yourself.” The moon priestess replied.
Killian gazed deep into the woods, thinking of the possible space that Sara might have hidden herself. The fact that the moon priestess told him that she might be in danger gave him some bone chilling.
He needs to find her as fast as he could.
“Violet was also murdered. Or else, she could have been a great help in solving this issue. The pack is slowly turning into something else, they actually dared to murder an elder, frame my Luna right under my nose. I promise I will make the perpetrator pay for his crimes.” Killian mumbled, fuming with anger as he tightened his fists together.
“One more thing…” the moon priestess stopped to register the look on his face.
“What’s that, honored one?” Killian asked I impatiently.
The moon priestess kept on staring at him as if wondering if she should let him know of it or not.
“Honored one?” Killian called out, while the moon priestess smiled.
“The moon goddess revealed to me that she was locked up by a man.” She dropped the bombshell, which felt like a huge rock dropping on Killian’s head. He could feel his head resonate and spinning. The thought of another man touching his mate filled him with immeasurable anger, that a great deal of fury could be seen in his eyes.
“I need to act fast. Sara is my mate and Luna, she shouldn’t be touched by another man.” He growled, breathing hard as he scanned his eyes across the woods.
His wolf sensed his burning sensation and was forced to wake from his deep slumber.
“Thanks for telling me this, moon priestess. I will definitely find her, and will cut off the man’s limbs if he should lay his hands on her.” He roared, the trees shook vigorously as his voice cut across the woods. Even the moon priestess could hardly maintain her stamina as Killian’s aura nearly swept her off his feet.
With this new development, he was ready to go through hell to get Sara back, no matter what it might cost him.
