The reflection of the arrows could be seen in Killian’s eyes. He looked stunned and was at a loss for what to do.
He had even forgotten that he was the almighty Killain, the alpha of the blue moon pack.
Just as the arrows flew at him, a golden light shone brightly in the air, and all of the arrows dropped instantly.
Killian lifted his head to take a look at his savior. A gorgeously dressed angel floated in the air before slowly landing by his side. The angel turned to him and smiled, it was his beloved mate, Sara.
She stretched out her hand and helped Killain up.
She had felt so uneasy where she sat, and she could feel the mate bond disturbing her endlessly and she knew something was wrong for sure.
Thankfully, she had swung into action in time and was able to save Killian.
Killian smiled at her and hugged her tightly.
“Thanks for saving me.” He muttered and Sara smiled back at him.
“It feels great, it feels great to be able to protect the person you love, and I am proud of myself.” She muttered.
Killian sighed.
“Here is too dangerous, let’s leave as fast as we can,” Killian advised. Sara hung his other hand around her neck. A huge wind suddenly blew around them and Zayne appeared right in front of them.
He looked at Killian before resting his gaze on Sara.
“So you are truly the Luna of the blue moon pack,” Zayne asked with a smirk while Killian prepared himself for a fight.
Sara gave Zayne an agonizing look, and it suddenly occurred to her that the two actually looked alike. It was as though her eyes were covered with some kind of magic and she couldn’t tell how identical they were before.
“You rejected me in front of everyone, but I was blessed with a more powerful, handsome, and supportive mate,” Sara replied, and Killian threw a sharp look at her.
“Rejected you?” Killian asked in shock, while Sara sighed.
“I am sorry to have kept it hidden from you. That night that you saw me in the forest, I was heartbroken because he had rejected me and the whole pack turned me into a laughing stock.” She replied while Killian nodded.
“But I have nothing to do with him anymore, I have you now, and you are more than enough for me. He is nothing but a sworn enemy to me, especially as he tried to hurt you.” Sara mustered up all the powers in her, ready for a brutal fight against Zayne.
Zayne bit his lower lip; Sara’s words had hurt him deeply and had greatly reduced his pride as a man, especially in front of Killian.
The plan ought to have succeeded, Killian should be lying dead by now, but they forgot to put Sara into consideration when they planned out everything, and she was now a hindrance to their motive. He had seen how powerful she was when she tapped into her Luna powers, and there was another force within her that he was sure didn’t belong to the Luna.
He even doubted if he would win her if they should get into a fight, plus there was still Killain who was eyeing him with disgust and contempt.
He smirked, before letting out a bitter laugh.
“Count yourself lucky today, you will eventually crumble under my feet one day,” Zayne muttered and slowly withdrew.
A few seconds after Zayne’s disappearance, some guards headed by Jared marched to where Killian and Sara were standing. They had heard the explosion noise and traced it down.
Jared wore a disappointing look when he saw Killain hale and hearty, no injury was inflicted on him except for his broken arm.
He rolled his eyes over the whole area, trying to see if Zayne had not yet attacked. But a thousand arrows lying on the floor hinted to him that Zayne had attacked, but how on earth did he survive? He couldn’t help but wonder.
Only then did he realize the presence of Sara; it then occurred to him that it must be Sara who saved Killain from the predicament.
“Are you looking for something, General Jared?” Sara, who had noticed how Jared briskly surveyed the whole environment asked him.
“Oh! I was trying to see if the enemy was still around. Protect the Alpha.” He hurriedly ordered and the guards surrounded Killian and Sara.
“There’s no need, he left already.” Sara replied to him, and Jared replied, “Oh!”
The guards placed Killian on his horse while Sara sat behind him. Unknown to her, something had fallen off her body.
She accompanied Killain back to the center of the pack where he was healed.
Meanwhile, someone suddenly appeared in the forest and took the item that was dropped from Sara.
She smirked and wore a mischievous smile.
“This is your end, Sara. Let’s see how you can escape this.”
