NERTHUS
As I open my eyes, I’m about to have a heart attack.
“What the fuck?!” I shout as I jerk up, scooping away from Arawn who is standing at the end of my bed with a deadly expression.
Holding my hand on my chest, I calm my breathing, while I wait for him to say something, but he doesn’t budge. “How long have you been standing there?”
“What the fuck did you do last night?”
I tilt my head at him, passing my hand through my hair. “Come on, my blowjob couldn’t have possibly been that bad for you to forget about it already!”
He scoffs and grabs my ankle, dragging me back to him. “Don’t play with me, woman!”
“I was at a club with Gigi. Didn’t you see my outfit? Did you like it?”
My heart flips as I see his lips twitch, even if he fights it, his frown taking over again.
“You used Dario as your personal driver!” He growls, and I gulp.
“I’m free to use any personnel! You signed the contract too.”
Turning around, he starts walking out, making me follow him. “Yeah. But you have to talk about it with me. Not start directing my men as if you had the right to it!”
“I have the right to do it, Arawn!” I point my finger at myself as I shout at him. “That’s what I suck your dick for!”
Feeling crushed by his absolutely disgusted expression, I lose my last cool. “You have been impossible to me these last few days, so I wasn’t even sure that you would pick up the phone. And I badly needed a ride.”
“Sure, and New York just ran out of cabs or what? I pay you enough to be able to pay for one.”
I gasp, taking a step forward. “You have no right to tell me how I have to spend my money!”
“And you have to talk with me about how you want to spend mine.”
“Fuck you, Arawn. Get the fuck out of my apartment. You have no right to be here!” My voice flips over as I try to stand against the tank of man in front of me. “I don’t know what is going on in that wicked head of yours, but you have to respect me, and stop treating me like gum sticking to the sole of your shoe!”
He chuckles, making my blood boil. “What do you want me to do? Want me to say nice things to you? Give you a pet name?”
“Don’t treat me like a dumb puppy! You used to call me beautiful and compliment me! Don’t act like it’s something a strong and cold man like you wouldn’t do!”
I can’t even register him moving to grab me and pin me against the entrance door. My air gets knocked out of my lungs, and as I’m gasping for air, he leans in, growling. “You’ll get your compliments when you earn them.”
Moving his hands onto my skin, he moves my oversized shirt up, my skin prickling under his touch. As he lifts me up to press me against the door, I bite back a moan that risks exploding from my lungs.
“Would it make you wetter if I told you that you have an amazing ass?”
Oh, yes!
“Stop making fun of me!”
My hiss turns into a moan as he pushes my panties aside, sinking his fingers into me.
“Tell me, beautiful.” He says mockingly, as he starts plunging his fingers in and out of me.
“Yes! Yes!” I shout, throwing my head back into my neck, and leaning it against the door.
He moves to wrap my legs around his waist, and I hug his broad shoulders to stabilize myself as he pushes into me slowly.
I push down a moan, fearing it would be audible through the door. As he increases his rhythm to get to his release, I hug myself tighter to him, biting into his neck to keep me from moaning. That seems to make him go wild, causing him to fuck me harder before emptying himself into me with a groan.
“Fuck, Nerthus.”
Yes!
My heart sings as he finally calls me by my name, and I catch my breath, still clinging to him. Other than the other times, he stays in me a little longer, even wrapping his hands around me, holding me close.
But unfortunately, that doesn’t last for long.
“You have to stop touching me.” He murmurs.
I jerk up at this, getting my hands off him as if I got an electric shock. “Okay.”
As he lets me down to my feet, I avoid his gaze, clenching my hands behind my back.
“You touch me too much. You practically cling to me. You aren’t my girlfriend! We aren’t making love. We are just fucking! And I’m paying you for it.” He says, and I nod, my gaze still directed to the floor.
“Look at me!” His growling has my gaze snapping up to his.
I know that my heartbreak has to show on my face, its pain streaming into every fiber of my body. I gulp as a mocking grin forms on his face.
“Oh, beautiful, don’t tell me you are hurt by this because I would have to drop you if you developed feelings for me!”
I scoff as my pride shows up angered by his audacity. “Ha! I was just holding onto you because I didn’t want to fall! Don’t worry about me catching feelings for a brute, self-centered idiot like you.”
His expression morphs, his mischievous joy turning into offense.
“Just don’t touch me.” He snarls, starting to dress back up, and I cross my arms over my chest, remaining silent.
“And don’t cry too hard.” He adds, before opening the door, pushing me out of the way.
“Don’t worry about that! I haven’t cried for 12 years, and I surely wouldn’t start for something insignificant like you.”
He scoffs, as he pushes the buttons to call the elevator, and my heart is already struggling to beat properly without bleeding out as he looks at me disparagingly, shattering it to a thousand pieces.
“You are getting boring! Do something about it.”
My gasp gets caught in my throat, as the doors of the elevator close, leaving me standing there like an idiot.
Only as I start registering the cold of the floor seeping into the skin of my bare feet, do I move to enter back into my apartment.
