“We did it,” Derby cheered next to me in the dining room, holding my hand tight.
“It’s thanks to the Goddess. She used the people of Wolf Fall to force the Queen to accept us,” she chuckled lightly, before facing another damsel who was sharing her happiness in being back in the mansion, to the others.
Indeed it’s the Goddess that gave us this chance, and we need to make good use of it before things gets out of hand.
“But I know we’ll succeed in this mission real soon,” I believed within, caressing Cadell.
He had his head falling on my lap while being patted by another damsel at my side.
“He’s so cute,” she had said, running her fingers in his fur.
And you need to see the way he laid lazily on me, enjoying himself.
“Naughty,” I chuckled, stroking him.
Just then… “Good evening, my Angels.”
“Alpha Allen!” The girls called out with joy, dismissing their conversations to gawk at the Alpha.
The creepy Alpha walked into the room with a smile, taking the high seat which Queen Chriselda usually sits on.
Seeing that, I concluded that the Queen wasn’t joining us. And I’m sure it’s because of my presence.
“It’s nice to finally have a gathering with you beautiful ladies. Seems it’s the first time I’ll be sitting you girls, right?”
“YES!!” The damsels responded loudly, laughing along with Allen.
Yuck! Just look at his face.
You can clearly see that he’s faking it.
Allen calmed his laughter and thanked the girls for trusting in him and the Queen.
“We want to do what is right and pick the right maiden who truly deserves to win this match. Honestly, Fiona deceived us all into thinking she truly won that position, but we thank the Goddess for exposing her,” he said, acting holy.
The girls were falling for his nonsense and it only spiked my heart, increasing my hate for him.
Very soon he’ll get a taste of his own medicine.
“I know we’re just starting, but our training takes place tomorrow. And you ladies are in luck, because I’m going to be present to train you, along with my Beta,” he announced, causing the girls to scream in excitement.
Allen smiled and said, dropping his eyes at my direction, “It’s going to be a wonderful practice with your Alpha by your side.”
He smirked right at me.
He may think I don’t know what disgusting thoughts are running through his head, but I do.
I rolled my eyes off his point , dropping it on the table.
“Please, let’s make a toast and celebrate your success into the game,” He said, lifting his glass of wine into the air.
Everyone, including Derby and I, did the same, cheering out to a new hunt.
“Cheers,” I said, glancing at Allen’s point to see the pervert still gazing at me while sipping his drink.
He still hasn’t learnt a thing from his fight with Cadell.

“I don’t know if it’s my mind that was playing tricks on me or what, but I thought I saw the Alpha staring at me during dinner,” Derby said, looking uncomfortable were she sat.
We were done with dinner and taken to our rooms by the maids of the mansion. It wasn’t our old rooms from the first hunt but a new one. What surprised me was the fact that my room was bigger than the last one.
I thought this was weird until Derby came and said her room was also the same. So, I assumed it was either a special treatment from that creep or the Queen trying to fake care for us.
Seeing how she shivered in disgust over Allen’s gaze, I chuckled and told her he wasn’t. “He had those ugly eyes on me. Don’t mind him,” I said, patting her on the shoulder.
“It’s the same thing I told her, but she kept saying no,” Kitty said, laying comfortably in Derby’s arms.
“You heard Eve, didn’t you? You are safe,” he said, looking pleased.
Derby frowned at first but gave out a sigh, cuddling Trent closely.
“I guess you’re right. Still, it felt terrifying! Just imagine that animal troubling me,” she said, demonstrating how Allen acts when he wants to start his drama with me.
I laughed at this, dropping my eyes at Cadell.
Pervy Wolf just laid next to me quietly. He was lost in his thoughts about something.
Maybe he’s thinking about the pendant on the Queen.
We saw how she stared at us when heading to our rooms. Her gaze gave a strong and troubling warning, like she’s onto us.
Feeling the desire to get things done quickly, I said to my friends while placing my hand on Cadell, gaining his attention, “Let’s get down to work. I have a plan which might work for us.”
When Cadell heard this, he smiled, sitting up to listen.
I shared it with them and they found it worth trying.
“Even if it doesn’t work, we’ll still come up with another one,” Trent said.
I nodded, agreeing with him.
Derby alerted us of the time and suggested that we head to bed and prepare for tomorrow’s training. “You don’t want the Alpha coming here to call you himself” she joked, making fun of Allen.
I laughed and agreed with her, getting ready to step into bed.
But something caught my interest when Derby was leaving the room.
“Kitty?” I called, seeing Trent following Derby.
He turned to look with his innocent gaze, wondering what the problem was.
“Um… aren’t you staying here?” I asked, lifting my brow at him.
He stared at me and Cadell, before looking at Derby, who carefully picked him from the floor, saying, “I want him to stay with me from now on.”
“Oh, I… see.” I stared at them, noticing the calmness all over Derby. She looked happy when she said that.
“I need someone to keep me company. Besides, you have lover boy over there,” she teased, pointing at Cadell, who was already thrilled with Derby’s plan to take Trent with her.
It’s what he wants.
“I totally agree with you on this, Derby,” Cadell supported, jumping off the bed to meet them.
He placed his paw on her leg and said, “Take care of our little man. Make sure you cuddle him till he forgets about us, his parents.”
What he said made Trent frown.
His face expression was adorable and funny!
“I’ll do as you have said, Daddy dearest. I’ll take care of your little man. Isn’t that right, you cute little Kitty Witty?” Derby fondled Trent.
And to my surprise, he began to blush!
He hid his face and said to Derby, “Let’s go before I pounce on someone.”
“Oh, no problem. You are free to hug your father anytime you want.”
“Cadell!” Trent Hissed, causing Pervy Wolf to chortle out.
He didn’t hesitate to say Goodbye like it’s a send off for good, pushing them out carefully.
Derby waved goodnight, leaving Cadell and I behind.
“What was that?” I asked, still finding Trent’s glow amazing.
It was precious.
Instead of giving me an answer, Cadell shifted into his human form, turning the room dark.
When I saw his silver eyes flash in the darkness… “Oh Boy!” I knew I won’t be heading to bed early.
“It’s just me and you, my Queen,” he sang, drawing closer to me.
I didn’t bother to run but sat there, smiling at this pervy man.
After all, he’s my personal pervert.
Cadell carefully pulled me up to my feet and into his arms, reminding me of the first time we stayed together here in the mansion. “You were acting cranky with this hunky wolf.”
“That’s because you were a total stranger back then.”
“Who’s now your…” He placed my arms around his neck and carefully wrapped his around my waist, placing his forehead on mine.
Filled with love for my naughty wolf, I completed his statement, “Now my darling Mate.”
Hearing that, his eyes shimmered. He smiled sweetly and locked his lips with mine.
I felt my heart glow, squeezing him closer to myself.
Looks like I’ll be attending the training late.

That same night, while sleeping… I heard something!
There was a noise outside the room door, trying to get in!
The sound forced me to sit up, just for me to see Cadell staring at the door angrily.
He was already on his feet before me.
He heard the sound.
“Cadell,” I called softly, drawing closer to him.
That’s when he said, wrapping his arm around my body, “He’s gone.”
“He?” I uttered, looking puzzled.
He turned to face me and said, “Allen. He was the one trying to get in.”
“What?!” That startled me!
“Seems he had a change of mind and left. Well, he did the right thing or else…” His eyes glowed, expressing his plans for the Alpha if he had gotten into my room.
But I’m still shocked.
That creep was trying to get in!
