EVOLET
“Handling this number shouldn’t be a problem for me!” I slammed my fists at the faces of some vampires that came in my way.
I was still moving ahead, directing them away from the innocent lives who were trying to hide from these creatures.
The forest was my first option, but with the way they were flying about, they’d easily hide or flee from me.
And I want to make sure all of them are put down.
So, I decided to return them back to the pack square where they held their fair. Since no one would be around that part, it would be easy for me to go wild fully on the bats.
With speed, I retraced my steps back to the ruined fair, knocking down any vampire that flew my way.
And as soon as I got to the center of the square, the vampires surrounded me from different corner, creating a hovering circle around me.
To them, they got me trapped, but for me… They are the ones who are trapped.
Gathering my wolf strength, I unleashed an ability I could feel my wolf trying to bring out since I activated my beast. And when that energy came out in form of an howl, the vampires fell down to the ground, unable to stand the disturbing echo that rang in their brain.
Their hands slapped the side of their heads, protecting their ears as they shrieked and fell on their knees.
Seeing that they were unable to concentrate, I went speedily bringing them down with beatings that was sure to make them pass out.
The only ability I was struggling to unleash at this point was the one my wolf used in taking Gamma Dave’s beast. It seems that only works when I’m not fully bound to Cadell’s necklace.
And the withering gift was the same. Not that I want to end them completely, no.
I only went with the one my wolf was able to give to me, dealing with these vampires one at a time
Once they all got a taste of the medicine, they fell face down groaning out in pains. Some were unconscious. They couldn’t even move.
The way they were acting made me wonder if I did too much.
“Don’t feel sorry for them, Eve. They are bad,” I tapped my head, stopping myself from trying to feel any sympathy towards these bats.
But let the truth be told. These attacks wouldn’t have taken place if someone hadn’t ruin the bond years back.
This is all Chriselda’s doing. She took away that peace that once brought every creatures together in harmony, out of selfishness.
And just thinking about it… I do feel sorry for these Vampires.
“This is why I’m the spirit wolf. Gosh, I feel so bad!” I groaned, covering my face.
Suddenly, my wolf sense kicked in and I immediately stretched out my hand forward, grabbing the hand of the one person left.
The Vampire Queen.
She tried to sneak up on me, thinking I wouldn’t know.
And now that I have her in my hold, staring back into her bloody red eyes… “Omega?” She called, looking surprised.
She pulled back quickly, forcing her hand out of my hold. I didn’t plan to hold on for long. I just released her due to the strange feeling my wolf was emanating after seeing the Queen.
“I guess you were right when you said I’m going to find out your rank soon, your highness,” I said, letting out a smile.
“How is this possible?” She uttered, slowly dropping her feet on the ground with her eyes scanning me. “How can an Omega be… strong?! Are you using some kind of forbidden magic to make your weak self powerful?!” She questioned, looking troubled.
The rage in her eyes was a clear sign of her deep hate for werewolves. Since the spirit dwelling in me no longer felt like putting her down like her armies, I calmly said, “It’s no sorcery. I am an Omega.”
“Don’t lie to me!” She raised her voice, flashing her eyes at me.
“You are using something to make yourself unstoppable! No ordinary wolf can beat a whole army of my strong Vampires. It’s an impossible thing to do, unless you’re using dark magic!” She accused, refusing to belief me.
“But still…” Her lips curled into a smirk, as her wings suddenly vanished into her back with ease. “I bet I can bring you down. I also possess great powers. I have trained myself for years to become the Queen I am today… I would like to test your magic against mine,” She challenged, opening her palms to reveal dark powers in her palm.
Now that would explain the group of vampires that created that chain earlier. They all had magic.
“Look, there’s no need for this. How about we talk and..”
In a flash, the Queen came at me with this dark aura in her hold, almost placing it against my chest. My body responded swiftly to her movement, avoiding her touch.
She came on, launching her feet at me, which surprisingly had the same power circulating down to her leg!
Quickly, I positioned my arm for a block, striking a blow to her leg.
She groaned and drew back immediately, coming back to fight with me.
“Listen to me!” I yelled at the relentless Queen, who didn’t want to give a listening ear.
“I am not your enemy!”
“Says the Omega who took down an army of my kind!” She sparked, throwing her fist at my face.
I dodged and grabbed her hand, tossing her with force to the ground, with my leg almost stomping her chest to pin her down.
But the Queen reacted on time. She brought out her wings and blew dust right into my face.
I had to squint my eyes, still holding her hand and feeling her body rising from the ground.
When I lifted my gaze to see clearly in the dusty wind, the hand she held her dark power in, came hitting my chest with a slam!
My eyes fell on her hand, as she ceased the dust and said with pride, “My Power is stronger than your tricks!”
She transferred the energy into the other hand I held, increasing the strength level.
“Every Werewolf, no matter the rank, is my enemy. And I will make use of you as an example to… Why aren’t screaming?” She asked, widening her eyes at me.
She glanced from my body to face, trying to understand why her power wasn’t working like she wanted.
That’s when I ordered, grabbing the hand she placed on my chest, “Cease.”
In split seconds, her magic was gone!
The Queen gazed out in horror, drawing away from me! She no longer looked confident but frightened!
“Impossible! IMPOSSIBLE!!” She screamed, waving her hands to activate the power again, but nothing came out from her.
She was breathing out heavily, trying on and on, until she sparked at me, yelling, “Who are you?!”
“I’m just an Omega who’s trying to make peace with every creature, no matter your kind,” I answered, taking a step closer to her.
“You’re lying!” She doubted, drawing her feet away. “You are no Omega. You… You are that old hag from Wolf Fall! That devilish Old Sorceress!” She accused, thinking I’m sorceress Thelma.
“How did you find me?! I made sure I left no trace behind Wolf Fall the night I visited, so how?!” She questioned, taking me for the Sorceress.
“Wait, you visited Wolf Fall already?” I uttered in surprise, wondering why she didn’t strike at that point.
“Don’t act innocent, Hag. I know you’re messing with me. You and your Queen must have found a new way to trace your enemies. That’s why you’re here in Brook Wave,” she said, still calling me Thelma!
“Ewk! I am not that old witch. I am not her! I’m just a young lady like you,” I corrected, defending myself.
Always the old sorceress and the Queen. They have really made a name for themselves to the point that many fear their skills.
“Trust me, I am not the old lady. My… call me Eve,” I introduced, extending my hand out to the Vampire Queen for a peaceful shake.
She looked at me then at my hand. Out of anger, she slammed my hand off and suddenly lost her balance when she drew closer to one of her unconscious vampire!
When I saw she was going to fall, I immediately took hold of her hand to save her.
That’s… that’s when I saw it.
It was a vision from the past, just like the one of Luna Violet.
I saw a little girl in red and black dress, hiding behind my gown. She looked so adorable with her beautiful pale skin and red sparkling eyes.
The laughter coming from me was the late Queen herself. She was playing with the little girl who ran up to a man in a royal apparel, wearing a crown, and beckoned him to pick her up.
He’s a Vampire king, and the father of the little angel that was playing around.
I heard Luna Violet asking the king, while caressing the little one in his hold, “What’s her name?”
“Scarlet,” he answered, handing the child into the Queen.
“Such a pretty name. I can’t wait to see how big and strong you become just like your father,” the Luna said, welcoming the lovely smile the child gave to her.
That’s when the vision ended.
I came back to myself and stared at the Vampire Queen who I just saved. There was an ache in my heart, which made me really sad.
Staring into her red eyes, I realized who she was instantly.
“Scarlet?” I called, stunning the Queen.
“How did you know my name?” She questioned.
A sense of pain engulfed my heart when I saw the innocence in her gaze. She’s not a bad person. It’s what happened that made her the person she is today.
“I didn’t tell you my name. I never did!” she confirmed, pulling her hand out of my grip.
I know she wouldn’t understand unless I explained. But before I could say a word, I noticed one of the vampires rising strangely.
He was acting like one under control, moving like a puppet!
The Queen noticed the way I stared behind her and turned around. She also saw this and yelled out to the vampire, “What is wrong with you?”
The vampire turned out to be the weirdo Mom had stopped from taking that child at the fair.
He was acting scary and… “Oh shit!” I spotted something familiar on his forehead!
It’s the red dust from Sorceress Thelma!
“Dammit! She found me!” I exclaimed out, remembering that my energy has been circulating around for long.
The Vampire suddenly began to convulse with his body expanding abnormally!
“What’s happening to him?!” The Queen asked, facing me.
She thinks this is my doing!
Right before our eyes, this vampire shifted into the most disgusting thing I have ever seen!
It’s skin was red and slimy all over, looking like a winged demon right out of the underworld! And the eyes… Bloody hell!
It’s gaze fell on me, with a deep growl escaping it’s lips.
“Oh Goodness,” I uttered, slowly drawing my steps back.
“What did you do to him, you witch?!”
“If I did something, I won’t be running!” I yelled, taking to my heels at once!
The demon came after me with speed!
