EVOLET
“Is it just me or do I look so pretty this morning?” I admired myself in the mirror, dressing my hair down to my shoulder.
Ever since I woke up from my nap, I’ve been feeling so excited. I don’t know how to describe the sensation I’m getting at the moment.
It just feels so… so good!
This flame in me is because of one person, and that’s Cadell. My Pervy Wolf. We spent the night cuddling and feeling each other’s warmth in bed, with his arms around my body, holding me close… Oh Gosh! What a night!
The moment ended when Mom returned from work. She arrived home before Trent, and Cadell and I had to act like our usual self. Pet and Owner of course.
My mother didn’t head to bed to sleep like always. She sat in the living room with Cadell and Trent, watching the morning news on the TV.
I was busy dressing myself to look so attractive and pretty for Pervy wolf.
Like… I don’t even know what got into me. I just had the thought of looking beautiful and ended up standing before the mirror for more than twenty minutes, combing and packing my hair.
“No, this isn’t okay!” I grumbled, grabbing my brush to dress the hair again. “How will he stare at me if my hair is looking ugly?” I muttered to myself, touching the edges.
That’s when I heard my door screak open.
I gasped, thinking it’s Cadell who came over to see me. But when I turned, I found Kitty, staring at me with his tail swaying lazily at his back.
“Oh, Hi Trent,” I greeted with a smile, looking behind to see if Cadell was there.
Nothing.
“What are you doing?” He asked, climbing up to the table next to my mirror.
I shrugged and responded, facing the mirror again, “Just getting myself ready.”
“By combing your hair for more than twenty minutes?” he asked, surprising me.
I looked at Kitty, who squinted his eyes at me and said, “I know when you started attending to your hair, Evolet. You first did some kind of ritual dance before grabbing your brush to straighten your hair. Normal girls don’t do that.”
“Do I look like a witch to you, Trent?” I poked his face with the comb, narrowing my brows at him. “It’s not a ritual. I was just… dancing.”
“Yeah, and I’m not sitting on this table but floating in the air.” He smiled, tilting his head to the side.
Hearing his sarcastic remark… “Bad Kitty! Are you making fun of me?!” I groaned, chasing him out of my room with the comb.
“I’m telling Cadell about your witchcraft. At least he’ll agree when he sees it himself,” he laughed, escaping my wrath.
Stubborn Cat! Now he’s acting like Pervy wolf! Seems Cadell’s naughtiness is slowly killing that sweet side of Trent. He’s becoming a different version of him!
“It’s your doing, Eve. You are the one who wanted them to get along, now you’re seeing the result,” I sighed, leaving the room.
.
Towards noon, Derby came over to have a chat with me. We were talking and playing with the guys in their pet form, when a knock came on my door, ending the conversation.
“Are you expecting anyone?” Derby asked, looking at the door.
“No,” I responded, swaying my head while getting to my feet. “Maybe Mom is expecting someone and forgot to inform me. I’ll check and see,” I decided, making my way there.
Cadell followed me like a true pet to his master, reaching the door before me and sniffing around. When I drew near him, I noticed Pervy wolf growling. Seems he’s not a fan of whoever was out there.
“What is it?” I asked while opening the door. That’s when my body froze on seeing that pervert of an Alpha, standing outside my home with a bouquet of flower!
“What are you doing here?” I questioned at once, getting set to slam the door at his face if he tries any nonsense.
“Um, if that’s an Hello then… Hello to you,” he smiled, irritating me even more.
“Evolet, who’s that?” Derby asked, hurrying over to see who it was.
“Alpha Allen?” She was surprised to see the Alpha at the door.
He looked at Derby and said, pointing at her, “You’re Evolet’s friend. And I still remember your pretty face. The damsel who gave up her match despite being in the lead against her opponent. How interesting.”
He glanced at me then back at Derby.
“Oh, Um… Thank you?” Derby uttered, still perplexed by all this.
“You two really have a lot in common. Beauty, skills… The same mind,” he said, looking at me again. And I was quick to understand what he was implying at.
“Why are you at my house, Alpha Allen?” I asked, so he would end his nonsense and give me an answer to his visitation. I’m sure it has something to do with me. It always does.
The Alpha kept his grin on, before requesting to come inside and have a chat with me. “I’d like it if we sat inside and…”
Suddenly, Cadell growled and Trent hissed, showing their disapproval to the Alpha’s request.
Allen frowned at this, glancing at Derby and I.
“I’m sorry, but my pets aren’t okay with that. How about you do your talking here and hit the road?” I responded, crossing my arms.
Derby didn’t know how to react to this. All she could do was stare at the both of us, watching.
Alpha Allen sighed and accepted the condition. He then extended the flower to me, saying, “I know this isn’t enough to apologize for what happened between you and my Beta.”
“Beta?” My arms came lowering down on hearing what Allen just said. Did Dean tell him what happened that night? Damn it! Did he tell Allen I saw him with Fiona?! “Not good. He must be suspecting my involvement in his and Fiona’s case,” I suspected, hoping I’m wrong.
“Whatever he got that day… he deserves it. He shouldn’t have tried that that disgusting act with an innocent like yourself. I guess that’s why you left,” he said, acting holy.
Derby was confused. She held my hand and asked, “What’s he talking about?”
“We’ll talk about that later,” I said, patting her back.
“I’ll make sure he doesn’t repeat such nonsense with you or any other damsel when you all return for the rematch. I’ll do my best to make sure you girls are in good hands. It’s the least I can do as your Alpha.”
“The Rematch? Oh, no need for your protection, because I’m not taking part in it.”
“What do you mean by that?” Allen’s mood switched at once. He didn’t look delighted with what I just said.
“I have someone already, so I see no reason why I should take part in the hunt to compete for the Luna’s position. There’s no need.”
“You are among the damsels!” He raised his voice, ruining the flower in his grip.
His behavior surprised Derby. She had to cling on to my arm, glancing at the both if us. I wasn’t stunned. He’s Alpha Allen after all.
“As long as you were among the first hunt, you are joining the rematch.” He glared, slowly getting angry.
Joker. He’s trying to use this rematch to get me back into his mansion.
“Alpha, the Queen didn’t say it’s a must. She just agreed to give the people what they want.”
“As the Alpha, I say it’s a must!” He ordered, trying to show his power in my own home!
“I know you want to join the hunt, Evolet. Stop being stubborn and… AHH!” Allen drifted back because of Cadell.
Pervy Wolf almost took a bite off his leg, frightening the Alpha away from me.
“Dumb beast!” Allen growled at Cadell, flashing his eyes at him while tossing the flowers to the floor, angrily.
He expected pervy wolf to wince and back out on seeing his red eyes, but that only pushed Cadell to step out fully, ready to fight Allen.
When the Alpha saw this… “What kind of a wolf are you harboring in your home?!” he asked, finding Cadell abnormal.
I proudly replied, “The kind that understands and thinks like his Master of course. Isn’t that the kind of beast everyone expects a real werewolf to possess?”
Allen glowered, drawing his step back again.
He lifted his gaze at me and smirked, pointing directly at my point, “You will join the hunt, Evolet. I know you’ll give in, now that Fiona’s gone. But don’t worry… I’ll be waiting for you.” He drew further to where he parked his car, got in, and left premises.
“Okay, what the hell just happened?” Derby asked, stepping outside to watch the Alpha’s car driving off.
“Was that really the Alpha forcing you to join the hunt? This… I’m so… Waw!”
“Forget about him. He’s just wasting his time,” I said, watching the car disappear out of sight.
Now that Fiona is gone, he thinks he can sway me into his arms with ease? He’s wrong.
That power of his will crumble real soon. He should enjoy it while it lasts.
