Heaven’s Club.
Jayden made his way to Heaven’s Club after receiving Dylan’s call to meet up. It was one of the most popular nightclubs in town. The nightclub was bustling with its vigorous activities as usual. Men and women swayed their bodies to the beat of the infectious DJ’s beat.
Jayden could smell the thick smell of sweat and perfume in the air, from all angles of the club as he navigated through the crowded space to the private room reserved for him and his friends.
“Hey handsome,” A woman almost putting on nothing to cover her body blocked Jayden’s path, her eyes locked onto his with a sultry gaze. She positioned herself an inch away from Jayden’s lower body as she rocked her hips to the DJ music.
Jayden could feel the softness of her curves as she rocked against him. Her voluptuous body movement was inviting and provocative. Her voice was husky as her hot breath fanned against his ear. “I can accompany you for the night.”
Had this happened a month ago when Jayden had not met Ria, he would have pinned the woman in front of him against one of the tables in the clubhouse, and fvck her senseless, but right now, all he felt was disgust. The only person he wanted was Ria, who didn’t even want to speak with him at the moment.
At the thought of Raymond, who was the devil that caused his breakup with Ria, Jayden’s fingers couldn’t help clenching into a fist as he controlled the urge to punch someone.
“Get lost.” Jayden’s voice broke the spell of the woman, who thought she had hit on a wealthy man for the night. She couldn’t help the goosebumps covering her skin. She wasn’t told twice before stepping aside from Jayden, whose aura was filled with killing intent.
Jayden continued his journey to the private room already reserved by his friends, not sparing a glance at the woman, who was glaring at him. A few minutes later, Jayden walked towards the private room. He opened the huge mahogany door, making his way in.
He closed the door behind him, blocking out the loud DJ music, replaced by the soft, sultry melodies in the room. His eyes scanned all over the place, looking for the familiar figures of his friends.
The dim light of the private room cast a warm glow on Raymond and Dylan, who were seated on a plush sofa in a corner of the room, their hands wrapped around their liquor glasses. They looked at Jayden with hazy eyes as he approached them.
“Yo bro, you are finally here,” Dylan spoke first, his words slurred together, making him almost incomprehensible. He looked quite drunk.
Raymond was not as drunk as Dylan. He just gazed at Jayden briefly, before his gaze went back to the liquor in his hand, swaying the amber liquid gently, the ice clinking softly against the glass.
“What took you so long? Are you busy with your little girlfriend?” Raymond asked, feeling jealous that Jayden had his partner by his side, why he was alone, with Lina still angry at him. If he knew Jayden had the same issue with him, he wouldn’t have asked him such a silly question.
Jayden glared at Raymond with hatred-filled eyes. Isn’t he the cause of his predicament? Why was he asking him such a silly question? He almost punched Raymond in his handsome face, trying to show how angry he was at the moment. Stepping forward, Jayden took a glass of liquor from the table in front of him and filled it up. He drank it in one gulp, trying to wash down his anger.
Raymond was surprised at Jayden’s actions. He doesn’t know why he was glaring at him like he wanted to murder him. “You dimwit! Do you dare ask about Ria? If it wasn’t for your carelessness, would she have broken up with me?” Jayden growled as he ruffled his hair, his eyes scanning the room for a place to sit.
Raymond, who was verbally attacked unexpectedly, was shocked at the news of Jayden’s breakup with Ria. Their relationship is not even up to a month. Isn’t this early?
“How is your breakup with Rihanna my fault? Is there a mixup somewhere?” Raymond asked in confusion, still not getting an answer to Jayden’s earlier accusations.
“You dare ask me that Raymond!” Jayden roared, not able to take Raymond’s attitude anymore. “Had you not been struck in a scandal with that celebrity witch, my woman wouldn’t have broken up with me because she thought I was a cheater, just like you.” Jayden was furious as he said this. If it was someone else, he would have beaten them to death, but since it was Raymond, he tried as much as possible to control his rage.
The room immediately fell silent, except for the hum of the background music and the air conditioner. Raymond stared at Jayden, his eyes seeming unfocused as he processed Jayden’s words. He couldn’t help thinking that what his friend just said was a joke.
The Rihanna he knew, wasn’t someone who was petty. Why would she do that to Jayden just because of the trending news? He couldn’t help having a bad feeling that if Jayden also had an issue with Ria in the future, Lina might be angry with him for a specific period, avenging her friend.
He couldn’t help sighing at how his wife and Ria’s friendship might be an obstacle for him in the future. Raymond snapped out of his thought, his deep blue ocean eyes fixed on Jayden, who was seated opposite him, his gaze filled with a mixture of guilt and apology.
Dylan, who was quite drunk also heard their conversation. He couldn’t help thinking about Nicholas, who was still filming far away. He missed his buddy. Anytime Jayden and Raymond had a misunderstanding, it was always Nicholas who calmed them down. What should he do now? Who should he pacify? The angry Jayden, or the confused Raymond?
“Jayden, I have no idea of your breakup with Ria. I’m sorry man.” Raymond said, his voice laced with sincerity. Dylan was shocked for a moment because Raymond had never apologized for his wrongdoings before. What the hell is wrong with him tonight? Dylan thought as he looked into Raymond’s eyes, trying to find something different in there.
All he saw was the coldness he was familiar with. Jayden was also slightly surprised that Raymond would apologize to him. Should he say that Lina’s love had started to influence his friend positively?”
Jayden’s anger slightly began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of frustration and helplessness. He sighed, running his fingers through his locks. “How great, and now, Ria doesn’t want me in her apartment. She thinks I’m a cheater, and I don’t know how to fix this.” Jayden growled as he slumped onto the couch, feeling defeated.
Raymond’s mind couldn’t help trailing off to when Lina also locked him outside her apartment, not giving him a chance to enter. He couldn’t help thinking that both friends were quite similar in their ways of doing things. He couldn’t help sighing in frustration. He thought he could handle being alone until tomorrow his name would be cleared from Ashley’s scheme, but his mind couldn’t help drifting back to their intimate moments in his car this evening.
“Hmm,” Raymond growled in pain, feeling his hard-on. It was protruding so much that it was begging for a release, but there was nothing he could do about it. He could only gulp down the cold liquor in his hand, trying to put off the heat building up in his body.
None of his friends seemed to notice his predicament as they were both deep in their thoughts. The room was quiet for some minutes as they sipped their drinks in silence.
“Raymond, is this part of the revenge you planned earlier for Ashley? I remember it was in this room three months ago you told us that your marriage with Lina was just fake. You guys are just using each other. It seems you are enjoying this game you and Ashley are playing.” Dylan, who had been quietly listening to his friends without speaking, finally opened his mouth.
No one imagined Dylan would say all he just said. Jayden, who was angry and frustrated, finally calmed down. He didn’t care about what Dylan was saying to Raymond. His expression was indifferent as he looked at Raymond mockingly. He could not help gloating at Raymond’s misfortune.
Oh Raymond, how have you dug a grave for yourself? Let’s see how you explain yourself that you have fallen in love with someone who should have been a tool for your revenge. Jayden thought as he swirled his drink, his lips curling up slightly.
