“No problem, it will be sent to you in the next thirty minutes.” After reassuring her, he glanced at Lucas. He doesn’t need to be told what to do to understand that gaze.
“On it.” Lucas said as he walked to a corner in the living room to make some calls. “All done sir.” He said after making some calls.”
“Hmm,” replied Raymond. He stood up and looked down at the little woman sitting in front of him. He said, “I’m giving you three days to settle all your matters, after that, we will be getting our name registered.”
“Alright,” replied Lina as he watched him strode out of her house arrogantly looking like a male God.”
After Raymond and Lucas left, Lina breathed out a sigh of relief. She had been holding it in for a long time. “Ahh!” She sighed as she collapsed on the chair.
Not long after he left, someone rang the doorbell. The sound brought her out of her thoughts. “Coming”, she shouted as she went to get the door.
On opening the door, she saw it was one of Raymond’s subordinates due to his dark suit with the Walton badge hung on his shoulder. Everyone in New York knows that it’s only the Walton army that has this badge.
“Here Miss, it’s for you.” The bodyguard said as he passed her purse to her. Seeing her purse brought a warm smile to her face. Thankfully, she appreciated the bodyguard before collecting her purse from him to check whether none of her materials was missing.
After checking and seeing that her phone and all her belongings are intact, she thanked him and shut the door.
She took out her phone and checked for any missed calls. Seeing none makes her disappointed, but knowing that no one cares about her genuinely, she keeps her sorrow to herself. Checking the time on her phone, she saw that she still has one hour before the wedding. “That’s nice,” she said.
She knew that by now, her pretentious sister and her scumbag boyfriend would have been searching for her.
Instead of going back to the hotel, she called her makeup artist to bring her wedding dress and her makeup instruments to her place. After giving her makeup team her house address and knowing they are on their way, she collapsed on the chair and smiled cunningly. “Daniel, you will regret messing with me.”
Not more than twenty minutes after the call, she heard the sound of the doorbell. She smiled as she stood up to get the door.
On opening the door, she saw her makeup team standing in front of her.
“Good morning, Miss Lina.” They greeted as she opened the door.
“Morning,” she answered as she opened the door widely so they could come in. “There is not much time left. I want you to be done with my makeover as soon as possible.”
“Yes miss Lina,” their boss said as they rushed over to her side. I don’t want anything special, just a simple makeover will do. She said as she sat on the front of her dressing mirror smiling at herself as she stared at her reflection on the mirror.
After about thirty minutes, they were done with her makeup and she had also dressed up in her wedding gown.
Staring at her reflection, she remembered how she went to choose her wedding gown alone. When she told Daniel about her going on a shopping trip to check for their wedding attire, he told her he was busy with work, not knowing he was busy banging her step sister.
He also told her his customised suit is ready, she should not bother getting one for him. She was sad at that time, but knowing how busy he always is at the sunshine group, she acted as an understanding fiancee by not disturbing him.
Thinking about it now, she laughed at herself for being naive in the past. As her gaze travelled down to the wall clock, she saw that it’s only fifteen minutes before the wedding started.
After the makeup artist left with her assistants, she was alone in the room thinking about how she was going to reach the wedding venue in a private car. She doesn’t want to take a taxi there.
In the midst of her thoughts, she heard her phone ringing. Seeing it’s Daniel calling, her lips curled up as she saw the call.
“It’s now you know you will call. Have you noticed I’m no longer in the hotel or you are calling to tell me to hurry up for the wedding.” She said to herself as she laughed mockingly. Not long after his call, her step sister also called. She scoffed as she looked at her phone ringing.
After two minutes, everything went silent. She sighed, not long her phone rang, but this time, it doesn’t have a caller id. She thought it was either her fiance or her sister that was calling with someone else’s number.
It didn’t take long before she received a message. As she read the message, she was surprised because it was her contracted partner that’s calling her.
“Why didn’t you pick up the call?” It’s me Raymond. Said the message.
Not long after, her phone rang. She picked up immediately. “Come outside, I’ve sent my driver to take you to the wedding venue.” He said through the phone as she picked up.
