Willows POV
…
I was sitting on the bed staring out the window into the darkness.
From what I saw earlier when the sun was still up I am somewhere deep in the woods. Which makes sense considering I was kidnapped by a pack of wolves, and the leader of this pack wants to marry me. I am hoping Damian or someone comes to get me, before I get married to that disgusting man. He touched me without my permission and forced me to submit to him. He is horrible and will probably abuse me any chance he can get.
Sniffling and wiping tears off my cheek as I continue to stare out the window.
I notice something move in the darkness outside. I keep watching hoping to see movement but I don’t so it must be my imagination or I am seeing things.
……..
Twenty minutes later the alarm starts to go off and the lights in my room flicker.
I look outside my window to see what is happening, but I only see small flashes of lights each light was a different colors. Some of them were close by and others are in the distances. There was one strong bright flash of light over in the distances that I recognized. It was the same bright flash of light that cut that ogre in pieces on the news.
It has to be Damian!
He came for me!
I feeling of relief washes over me as I began looking around the room for away out.
That man locked me inside the room, but if Damian is the one attacking. He will surely come back to this room to try and move to a different location.
Spotting a wooden chair in the corner I walk over and pick it up.
I walk back over to the bed and stare down at the chair in my hands.
I am not sure if this will work most demons use barriers to keep humans from escaping.
Fingers crossed that there isn’t a barrier.
I place the chair on the bed first, before crawling on the bed.
Slowing standing up I wobbly a bit as I grab the chair by its legs and swing it hard against the window.
Hearing the sound of glass shattering.
I can’t help but cheer a little in excitement. Only for the excitement to turn into panic when I hear loud footsteps marching loudly down the hallway.
Looking at the roof top through the broken window.
I already know I won’t be able to climb out the window and find a way down from the roof fast enough. I would be caught the second I get spotted by a wolf.
Quickly getting off the bed I grab the lamp off the nightstand and turn the light off.
I make it behind the door just as the door knob is being twisted.
The door opens and I wait for the man to step into the bedroom, before I hit the unknown man on the back of the head with it.
” Fuck me!” The familiar voice says in the dark.
Wait!
I know that voice!
Flipping the light on.
I stare in complete shock.
” Virgil!” I shout happily.
Virgil stares at the lamp I am holding in my hand as he rubs the back of his head.
” No, it’s fucking Santa clause! Did you hit me with a fucking lamp!” He snaps at me.
” I’m sorry! I didn’t know it was you. I thought that man that took me was coming back for me.” I explain as I drop the lamp to the floor.
Virgil shakes his head, ” Yeah, cause a lamp is going to stop him.” He tells me.
” I improvised okay!” I tell him in a matter of fact tone.
” Well, don’t improvise cause you kind of suck at it” He tells me bluntly.
Watching as he stick his head out the door to peek down the hallway.
“You are going to need to climb out that window. There six guards heading in this direction.”
I stare at him confused, ” I don’t hear anything.”
” You are human, so you wouldn’t hear them until it was too late. Now hurry up and get going they are approaching fast!” He snaps at me.
I don’t waste time and do as Virgil has told me.
I climb onto the bed and go out the window.
The nice warm air blows lightly against my skin.
Stepping out onto the roof I take a few steps forward before my foot slips on the dark green roof tiles. I fall backwards on my ass and start to slide down towards the edge of the roof. I start to panic and reach my hand up grabbing ahold of the window seal.
Feeling a sharp pain in my hand I look up at the window seal.
Damn it!
I had forgotten about the broken glass.
This bad…
Now every wolf in the area knows I am outside, but so will Damian and everyone else. So hopefully they can find me before the wolves do.
Pulling myself up I peek into the bedroom to see Virgil is already fighting with a group of wolves.
That looks like more than six.
I dunk down and take a look at the gash on my hand.
It looks pretty bad and hurts like hell.
Grabbing the huge piece of broken glass I pull it out and toss it over the edge.
Blood grips from my hand and all over the roof.
I need to start moving before the start smelling my blood.
I notice a small slope to my right.
Maybe if I crawl up higher I can find a way down and make a run for it.
I ignore the pain in my hand as I crawl up the small slope. I dig my bare feet into the corner of each tile as I move to keep myself from falling.
Why the hell are the roof tiles so slippery!?
I am pretty sure this is some kind of safety violation!
Once I am on top of the small slope I look around to find a way down.
I can see flashes of lights. A few were close by and the rest were a few distances away.
The must have done that on purpose to draw as many wolves as possible away from me.
Hearing a loud growl behind me I freeze.
Fuck!
It probably smelled my blood and it doesn’t help that the wind is blowing.
I didn’t even notice a wolf was up here with me.
Slowly turning around to see a young man wearing a white t-shirt and blue pajama pants.
I guess a few of them were trying to sleep when they got attacked.
” Where the fuck do you think you are going?! You belong to Alpha Cole!” he growls out at me.
Cole? That must be the name of the man I met earlier today.
” I don’t belong to anyone! I am a person with my own life!” I snap back bravely.
He smirks coldly at me, ” You will learn the hard way. Now come here before you fall.” he says more calmly as he takes a step forward.
I crawl backwards and stop when my foot hits the edge of the roof.
Looking down at the ground I feel a little nauseous.
Heights were never my thing. I was worried about getting away that I forgot how high up I was.
Looking back at the man trying to catch me.
I notice his eyes have a mixture of panic and some other emotions that I can’t figure out.
” Come here! Before you fall!” He snaps at me as he makes fast movements towards me.
I am not going with him. If I do he will just take me to his boss.
I rather risk jumping.
Just as his hands were about to grab ahold of me.
I jump off the roof.
I watch the fear spread across the mans face as I go over the edge.
The sound of the wind fills me ears.
Closing my eyes I wait for the painful impact of the ground.
Only to feel my body slam into something hard with soft fur.
Wait fur!
I snap my eyes open and quickly get to my feet.
Looking at the wolf I had landed on in complete surprise.
” For once I am grateful for your fat ass.” A familiar voice says to me.
I turn around to see Dean smiling at me.
” Dean! Your okay!” I yells happily.
I jump into his arms and give him a hug.
He groans a little and hugs me back.
” Yeah, I am great. However you are heavy” He tells me.
I pulls back and get back on my feet.
I punch him in the arm,” I am not!” I frown.
” When you step on a scale. It grunts and tells you to get off.” He says playfully.
He is lucky I missed him.
I roll my eyes,” You are a dick.” I says with a small laugh.
I am happy to see he is alive, but I can tell he is still injured.
The way he moves is different almost like he is trying to keep pressure off certain areas of his body.
A loud thud and a dangerous growl cuts our little reunion short.
Turning around slowly I come face to face with the man that was on the roof with me.
Dean moves in front of me.
” When I tell you to run. Run and don’t look back.” he says in a stern tone.
” O-okay.” I stutter out.
I watch them nervously and notice the wolf I landed on was no longer laying on the ground.
Looking around I finally spot the wolf hiding in the bushes.
” Dean, a wolf is waiting in the bushes.” I whisper to him.
” I know.” Dean whispers back to me.
“I suggest you hand her over. Unless you need to get your ass beat again.” The man says to Dean.
Dean smirks, ” Yeah? You think you got the balls to take me on?” he asked in a cocky tone.
The man laughs, ” Oh, I got the balls.” He says as he charges towards us.
While the wolf that was hiding in the bushes darts out to attack at the same time.
They are attacking together to get the upper hand against Dean.
This is bad! Especially since Dean is still injured.
Dean pushes me down to the ground and catches the wolf in midair by its neck with his bare hands.
The wolf growls and kicks its feet in the air and digs its front paws into Dean’s arms.
Dean doesn’t show any emotion of pain as the blood starts to run down his arms.
Wait!? Where’s?
Feeling strong arms wrap around me and lift me up off the ground.
” Got you!” The man growls in my ear.
” D-dean!” I call out to him as I wiggle around.
In the middle of me trying to wiggle free. My foot hits him in the balls.
He immediately lets go of me and falls to the ground with his hands between his legs.
” I don’t think he has the balls now.” Dean says with a hint of laughter in his voice.
I hear a loud popping sound as Dean drops the wolf he was holding by the neck and it falls to the ground motionless.
He must have snapped its neck.
Hearing howling close by.
Dean walks over to me and grabs my hand, ” Come on, we need to get moving.”
I whine a little as he touches the gash on my hand.
Dean looks down at his blood covered hand and at the huge gash on mine.
“I got it from a broken window.” I explain to him.
Watching as Dean rips part of his shirt and uses the torn cloth to wrap around my hand.
I flinch a little as he ties it a little too tight.
” Think that is a little tight.” I tell him.
“It needs to be tight to block out the scent of your blood.” he says as he looks behind us.
” I will lead them away from you. You head into the woods and go the opposite way of the bright flashing lights. That is where Damian is fighting Cole and the other alpha’s. If the lights get close to you. You hide somewhere and don’t make a sound. They will use you against Damian.” He tells me and gives me a gentle push forward. ” Go now!” He snaps at me impatiently.
I give a nod and run towards the woods.
As I make it past the first few trees I hear loud growling and howls coming from Dean’s direction.
Hearing one of the wolfs yelp loudly.
I know Dean must of hurt it.
I keep walking forward and try to keep as quiet as possible.
Which is hard to do considering the fact that I keep stepping on twigs and broken limps from trees. You don’t realize how loud the little things are until you are running for your life.
…..
I been wondering around for hours in the woods.
I keep looking up at the sky to make sure I am not close to Damian, but I haven’t seen a flash of light for awhile.
Deciding to take a break from walking.
I look around for somewhere to hide.
The only thing I manage to find was a tree with a huge hole down by the roots.
I walk over to it.
Its better than nothing I suppose.
Getting down on my hands and knees I climb inside the hole.
Looking at the giant opening I realize I should find something to hide myself.
Leaning out of the hole I look around and find a dead rabbit along with a huge broken tree branch.
Crawling out of the hole a little I grab the dead rabbit and pull it towards me.
I can use the dead rabbit smell to hide my scent. While using the giant branch to hide me from view.
Placing the rabbit next to me I cough and gag a little.
This thing smells pretty ripe.
Gagging as I grab the branch and pull it towards me.
Crawling backwards into the hole.
I position the branch in front of me and jam it at an angle into the hole so it doesn’t easily get moved.
Next I grab the dead rabbit and use a sharp rock to cut it open.
When I finish cutting the rabbit open I hold the rabbit up and get its blood all over the branch. I even dig my hands inside of it to spread its guts everywhere, before I toss the remains out the small gap between the limps.
Seeing a strong flash of light appear in front of me followed by a wolf being thrown against the tree that’s right next to me.
I jump a little and bite my bottom lip to keep myself quiet.
Watching as Damian comes into view.
My eyes go wide at the amount of blood he is covered in.
It’s hard to tell if he is injured or if all that is wolf blood.
Either way it was a good idea to use the dead rabbit and move the branch in front of me.
They won’t be able to smell me.
Hell I can’t smell me that rabbit is pretty ripe. It’s taking everything not to gag.
Peeking out of the small opening in the limps. I watch as the wolf slowly gets back up on all fours.
It lets out a loud growl and charges towards Damian at full speed.
