Brook!
That was him.
He had this soft smile on his face as he stared at me.
He wasn’t his Younger self as I had expected to see but his much recent self. He looked at me with so much pity, like he was expecting to see me and grinned.
“Hello, Ashina”
What?
He knows Ashina?
I gulped.
As long as I was concerned, Brook would always be the bad person in my life.
He was actually a bad person now as he just stared at my younger self and smiled. He moved hair off his face and it was then I noticed how neat it was.
That well gelled hair, as black as always. He had this lively vibe, like he was there for real. His arms spread across his chest as he flexes his arm muscles.
The red shirt he wore seem like it would stop him from breathing. It hugged his so perfectly, showing his abs, fat, and muscles. His black sweat pants fit him losely, only tightly wrapped around his waist and Ankles.
“You like checking me out” Brook winked as he licked his lower lip.
I frowned.
The fact that I didn’t try to hide the way I was disgusted vexed him to the point of rolling his eyes over and over again before flipping me his middle finger.
I gasped.
“You didn’t just do that!”
Brook grinned.
He looked around as of I was talking to someone else and double flipped me. His gaze locked with mine, making me know that he was talking to me and me alone.
“Fuck you too” I snapped.
Brooked shurgged.
“I wanted to really fvck you so we could be happy but you perfect to stay with that traitor”
I was puzzled. I opened my mouth to say something but closed it back without saying anything.
Fact, I knew Rex wanted to kill me because he was scared of losing me, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love me. He care so much about me and I was willing to give him home to change.
He had already changed, he apologized and I believe him.
Looking away from Brook, I stared at my younger self who seem to be healing. Her face gained back life, her skin became clear like she wasn’t the one turning purple some minutes ago.
“Here comes the best part” I heard Brook joyfully announced.
I didn’t look away, I just watched my younger self, amazing on how she healed so fast.
“You know you were a fast healer when you were little?” Brook whispered close to my ear. His warm breath made me trembled, I just felt he was somehow strange.
I turned to see his face so closed to mine, he acted like he would kiss me for a while before he grinned.
“Your first love” he said.
I looked at his direction to see his younger self walking towards us with full caution. His steps were shaky, like he doesn’t want to do it but did walked pass us anyways.
He walked to my younger self, bent on a knee and looked directly to her face.
“Hey?” He whispered.
I looked at Brook standing beside me to see a wide smile on his face. Taking a closer, I noticed he had facial hair. Like he haven’t shaved well in the last few days. His chin had this faint scar, so faint that I had to look closer before I could see it.
“You know you took first kiss” Brook smiled.
His smile was sad, as if he wasn’t meaning to say it.
My face turned back to our Younger selves where I watched Brook gave me his first kill. Was thaty first kiss too?
In a jolt, I woke up.
Staring at him as of he was a monster, I stood in a wobbly defense position and snarled at him.
I looked at his older self who was removing pretend tears from his face. I knew he could see me but rather act like I wasn’t looking at him.
“You were so cute that day that I thought I could have you as my pet” he grinned.
I looked back to his younger self standing strong. He wasn’t even in his defense position or ready for any attacks. He had his arms crossed behind him, a smile on his face amd he bowed slightly.
“My name is Brook, the son of Alpha Jaxon of ….”
I placed my palms over my mouth to stop myself from gasping aloud. I was a feisty little girl.
Older Brook just grinned as if his younger self had expected that she would punch him right in the face. He sharply moved his head, urging me to look at our younger selves.
Wiping off blood from his nose, younger Brook grinned. He didn’t even look pissed yet.
“You smell different, and I like it” he said with a smile on his face.
Again, I just tried to attack me. At this point, I was ashamed at my younger self.
The sky thundered unannounced, making the four of us to look at the sky. Rain began to drizzle, Causing my younger self to become more aggressive and disorientated.
“It’s about to rain, If you are lost, I can take you to my father and ..”
Dodging, Younger Brook avoidedy pouches and kicks. He was making it obvious that he doesn’t want to hurt me but I was getting more aggressive. The rain began to pour, causing Brook to be somewhat impatient.
“I can leave you here with my friend if you want” Brook said.
He was pointing deep into the woods. At my very age, I would not want to go into that dark place either so I would not blame my younger self.
I was only 9.
My younger self slowly began to walk towards the woods, slowly, as of she was being drawn by something in there. Brook followed immediately, trying to sniff her shoulder or hair.
Getting to the edge of the woods, she noticed Brook uncomfortably close and turned back. She punched him twice in the face and was about to go for the third.
Effortlessly, Brook dodged.
He punched me right in the face and I fell. The back of my head hit a rock and I was passed out. Cold.
Younger Brook sighed.
He stooped to look at my bleeding head and touched my neck. He shurgged, stood up straight and looked into the dark woods.
It was then I noticed a pair of bright yellow eyes.
“Common Rex, I think she might be dead or something” Brook announced.
I looked at the older Brook but he was no longer there. It was just me and the kids with a pair of yellow eyes.
“Rex?” I called.
I attempted to walk into the woods but immediately I took my first step, I was sucked out. I tried to grab unto anything but… but yet….
“Mate! Mate!!”
“Ashina! Emma, do something!!!”
Darkness consumed me and the more I try, the more I was swallowed. I could here their voice, faint, from afar.
‘Mate follow my voice’
I did.
I relaxed, trying to make my body as stress-free as possible. My body felt as light as over cooked veggies and before I knew it, I was back to light.
Staring at Emma who had blood running out her nose and eyes. Klaus was holding her, trying to hold her head up while Rex squeezed me in a suffocating hug.
I didn’t say anything.
I just rested on his chest, listening to his heartbeat because I passed out.
