As they stood there in shock, Darnell threw two punches without hesitation.
Bang! Bang!
The two men at the front were knocked into the crowd behind them, letting out muffled groans as they felt the pain in their chests. They struggled to get up but soon spat out blood and fainted.
The Apex members were visibly shaken. Darnell’s display of strength struck fear into their hearts.
They never expected him to possess such incredible power.
Callum’s mouth fell open. “How is this possible…”
It was his first time witnessing Darnell’s true combat skills.
Although he knew Darnell was cunning and had some tricks up his sleeve, otherwise, he and Nick wouldn’t have been repeatedly bested, he hadn’t imagined Darnell would be this formidable.
Darnell maintained a calm expression, his body moving on instinct.
Facing opponents who wanted to harm him, he struck them down mercilessly. In an instant, five or six members of the gang fell to the ground.
Damn it!
Even a tiger couldn’t withstand a pack of wolves! No matter how strong he was, he was still just one person. They had a whole group here! He was hopelessly outnumbered.
Seeing Darnell wreaking havoc, Nick grew furious. The Apex members’ eyes turned red with rage as they glared at Darnell, feeling humiliated.
Each of them thought that if they didn’t take down Darnell today, they might as well give up their lives.
Garrett held onto Luca tightly and shouted to Darnell, “Mr. Halford, be careful!”
Leroy and the villagers were all tense, but Noemi remained calm. She had faith in Darnell at this moment.
Nick screamed hysterically, “Kill him!”
Shaking off their initial shock, dozens of burly men, who were usually eager for a fight, charged at Darnell like a pack of excited dogs chasing a deer.
For young gang members, fighting, especially in situations where they outnumbered their opponent, was always thrilling.
The stage was small but could hold more than thirty people.
Facing the swarm of enemies, Darnell charged forward first.
The strongest man leading the charge collided with Darnell. His eyes widened in shock as he realized he couldn’t stop himself from crashing into Darnell. Instantly, his limbs gave way with a sickening crunch as pain shot through his body.
With a push from Darnell’s shoulder, the strong man flew off the stage and slid four or five meters across the ground.
Darnell’s face bore a mocking smile, and his eyes were cold. He raised his hand and caught an incoming kick aimed at him.
Crack!
He slammed the attacker’s knee with force, producing a dull thud.
Then, he pushed the now incapacitated body into the crowd behind him, causing several people to stumble and fall in confusion.
Two men tried to attack Darnell from behind. Without even looking, he turned instinctively and punched them both hard.
Bang!
The two men clutched their dislocated wrists and retreated in pain, tears streaming down their faces.
In the blink of an eye, Darnell had taken down more than ten people. Nick and Gisselle stood there with their mouths agape, unable to comprehend how he moved so quickly.
Luca frowned deeply. His once composed face was now serious. He had seen and organized many gang fights before and experienced their brutality firsthand. He had witnessed skilled fighters using savage techniques to kill or maim like beasts. But compared to Darnell, it seemed like they were on different levels altogether.
At this point, Darnell seemed like a king, who looked down on everyone else.
“Not even warmed up yet. Let’s continue!”
Darnell stood on the stage carpet with an arrogant air and beckoned to the Apex members with his finger, exuding an indescribable arrogance.
For the sake of their pride, the gang members had no choice but to engage Darnell again. Dozens more charged at him.
They hoped to use sheer numbers to bring him down.
Bang!
To Luca and the others’ undisguised shock, Darnell kicked one man seven or eight meters away before delivering another powerful kick that sent two more flying off the stage. Then he plunged into the crowd with swift hand strikes that cut through like a tornado, wreaking havoc among those trying to surround him.
Screams and cries of panic quickly filled the hall as chaos reigned supreme. No one had anticipated that what they thought was prey would turn out to be a fierce tiger baring its sharp teeth.
In less than five minutes, dozens of people lay around the stage.
Garrett and his companions’ eyes burned with intensity.
“Not one of you can fight!”
With a mocking expression on his face, Darnell didn’t stop there. He moved swiftly into the crowd again, knocking over four men in front of him before plowing through ten more like a cannonball. Soon, he held two wooden sticks in his hands, wrapping them with cloth strips and turning them into nunchakus.
With each strike of his sticks came bursts of blood as everyone who charged at him was knocked away effortlessly by his blows.
Sunlight from outside cast beautiful arcs around his figure as Noemi and her companions watched in awe, their eyes filled with admiration.
He thrust the wooden club forward, skillfully blocking four weapons, and then delivered a powerful kick.
The four opponents were sent crashing off the stage!
The momentum was unstoppable!
Darnell leaped high, launching one opponent off the stage like a cannonball, who landed heavily in front of Nick and the others, letting out a few pained cries before losing consciousness.
At that moment, Darnell was covered in blood, a terrifying sight, but most of it was from his opponents.
Despite having several wounds on his body, he was largely unharmed.
Darnell stood tall, surrounded by over a hundred fallen foes.
Nick and Gisselle were so shocked they couldn’t even speak, their palms sweating. Luca rubbed his eyes repeatedly, as if he couldn’t believe that the brash guy was so powerful.
Nick, once brimming with confidence, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, realizing for the first time that three hundred brothers might not be enough to take down Darnell.
Garrett and the others stood tall, feeling their blood begin to boil.
In the past, the concept of “the God of War” seemed abstract, but now they had a tangible feeling of it.
They longed to stand alongside Darnell, facing down the enemy.
Noemi’s eyes sparkled with a fiery intensity, a new thought forming in her mind.
“Come on…”
Darnell licked the blood off his nunchucks, his expression grim as he shot a crushing look at the Apex.
Standing high on the stage with his nunchucks raised, he looked down at Nick and the others. “What are you waiting for?”
No one moved. The remaining members of the Apex were terrified.
“If you won’t come to me, I’ll come to you.”
Darnell casually tossed the words out, then jumped down from the stage, advancing towards Nick.
The two of them charged at Darnell, but as they got close, they were struck in the jaw, pain rendering them powerless.
“Don’t come any closer!”
Darnell slowly approached a half-kneeling enemy, then stomped down with a foot, crushing him into the carpet like an ant, before continuing towards the pale-faced Nick and Gisselle.
The latter shouted for the others to keep charging while simultaneously retreating, issuing a warning to Darnell, “Stay away from me!”
Darnell ignored them. The remaining few dozen members initially charged forward, but upon seeing Darnell’s unmatched aura, they all retreated in unison.
They understood all too well that even if they fought to the death, it would be in vain. Darnell was nothing short of a demon… far too terrifying.
Wielding his nunchucks, Darnell moved like a ship cutting through waves, leaving a trail of blood mist in his wake.
In the blink of an eye, he had passed through over forty opponents, the Apex now sprawled on the ground, each clutching their injuries, completely out of the fight.
Darnell let out a cold laugh.
“Continue…”
His emotionless words struck deep into the hearts of the Apex, and Nick felt as if his will was about to shatter.
