After searching high and low for Sirena, her mother finally had no choice but to seek Audrey’s help.
When Audrey received Sirena’s mother’s call, she handled it with ease. “I have no idea where Sirena’s gone! She hasn’t contacted me in a while.”
“I’m worried something has happened to her!”
“That’s unlikely. Sirena might just be feeling down and went out to blow off some steam. Don’t worry too much.”
After comforting her a bit, Audrey hung up.
She raised her hand to summon the butler. “Where has Caesar gone?”
“Sir went out, said he was… going to play golf!”
Audrey raised an eyebrow. “So he won’t be back for a while?”
“Probably!” The butler nodded. “Or I can call the master to check?”
“No need. If he comes back and I’m not here, just tell him I went out to buy clothes. And call me, don’t let him know.”
The butler complied, not daring to ask further, and quickly called the chauffeur to take his Madam away.
Audrey casually threw on some clothes, put on a hat and mask, covering herself up thoroughly. She had the chauffeur drive around the city for a while before finally giving him the last address.
It was a secluded house in the suburbs, quite isolated.
There were guards at the entrance, and besides that, all the windows were boarded up tightly, not even a fly could get out.
When the car arrived, the guards bowed in greeting.
“Mrs. Walters.”
“How is she?” Audrey stepped out of the car, glancing inside.
“She’s still screaming and shouting all day. She’s eating well, and as per your instructions, we haven’t let her out.”
Audrey waved her hand, signaling them to stand aside.
Sirena was locked up inside!
When they sent Ulric to Sweden, Audrey had ordered her man to escort Sirena here for house arrest.
Since Caesar wouldn’t allow his wife to see her, Audrey could only come secretly.
Audrey entered alone.
There was no need to worry about Sirena harming anyone. There was an iron bar gate inside, and she couldn’t escape.
Upon hearing someone enter, Sirena stirred.
When she saw Audrey, she immediately stood up, her eyes lighting up with hope. “Mrs. Walters! You finally came! Please let me out!”
Audrey looked at her, frowning slightly, her tone laced with reproach and displeasure.
“How can I let you out? You’ve harmed my son!”
“Mrs. Walters… I was truly at my wit’s end. I loved him so much that I wanted to kill him and die with him!” Sirena clutched the bars tightly. Having not seen sunlight for a while, she looked particularly haggard and disheveled.
“Didn’t I tell you to keep your cool? Why don’t you ever listen? Now I can’t help you anymore. Keeping you alive is the last favor I can do for you.” Audrey steeled herself. “You saved me back then, and I’ve helped you so many times. I’ve done more than enough! How dare you hurt Ulric? I absolutely cannot help you anymore.”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t even think about becoming a daughter-in-law of the Walters family. Ulric’s father is already looking for a new daughter-in-law.”
